Why does this not surprise me. We were appalling slow to allow lockdown. Govt u-turn on herd immunity. Allowing Cheltenham and other events to go ahead. Those in charge need to be held accountable when this is over.

Also the staff are coming from other NHS hospitals, they are not magic staff who have been magicked up from somewhere. Gaps in staffing are being made up with not-yet-qualified student nurses

Not just final year nursing students but all Allied healthcare students from year 2 onwards, being paid just over the minimum wage..... so i expect a large round of applause for that!

Its classed as "Optional" but if you don't volunteer, your studies grind to a halt.

I am not above any law BigChocFrenzy , you are clearly not a animal lover , it is a cruel and ridiculous idea to tell people they can’t walk their dogs. Our dogs need a wee bit of freedom, even on the end of a lead, and my dh is a doctor on the front line here, so putting his life at risk so yes, we will continue to walk our dogs. We are harming no one as there is no one around to harm in any way, so get a grip!

The second vitamin D3 blood serum study in the world has been published yesterday.
It was a study of 780 Indonesian covid patients.

These are the conclusions of the study:

• When controlling for age, sex, and comorbidity, Vitamin D status is strongly associated with COVID-19 mortality.

When compared to cases with normal Vitamin D status, death was approximately 10.12 times more likely for Vitamin D deficient cases (OR=10.12; p
