Lots out cyclists out, but can anyone honestly say every one of them look like they're exercising! Perhaps more evidence for for full lockdown?

Time to start fining people. And not £30.

Can start with the guy taking the video as hes going to be easy to identify Grin

Inkpaperstars · 04/04/2020 20:19

Richmond is not really London to be fair. It's Surrey.

SimonJT · 04/04/2020 20:19

I went to London fields today (have done the last few days), today there was another family there, but apart from that we have seen very people there or on the walk there and back.

TheSheepofWallSt · 04/04/2020 20:22

@Wakeupsunshine

Some of my mates in London have posted pictures of the flat whites/take away cake/ sourdough baguettes they’ve picked up on their “socially distanced walk” today so the shops are open.

I believe this. 100%

ilikemethewayiam · 04/04/2020 20:23

Clearly appealing to people’s better nature isn’t working because they don’t have one. Hitting them in the pocket big time would. That’s the language they understand. It would only take a few high profile cases!

Clymene · 04/04/2020 20:24

I can well believe it ps from today. Lambeth is shutting brockwell park tomorrow

You're allowed to buy takeaway coffee and have an ice cream

As long as you're out for your once a day and stay 2 metres away from people

Devlesko · 04/04/2020 20:28

We are receiving lots of propaganda about this virus, best advice ignore the news and look at WHO for your data and analysis.

SnoozyLou · 04/04/2020 20:33

YES!

SingingBabooshkaBadly · 04/04/2020 20:34

Lots of people are reluctant to believe this is genuine footage from today. Regardless of whether it is or not I’ve just heard on the radio that there were over 3,000 people in Bushy Park today and consequently it is being closed.

GabsAlot · 04/04/2020 20:35

I think the parks should be closed if people are having fucking picnics-it is ruining it for others but has to be done now

TheSheepofWallSt · 04/04/2020 20:35

@LaurieFairyCake

We’re all ALLOWED to do all sorts of things.
Is it essential, advisable or socially responsible to stand in a queue for 25 minutes for a fucking cinnamon bun and a flat white?
Is it fuck,

LaurieFairyCake · 04/04/2020 20:36

The 'queues' are 2 metres apart for everything

You are allowed to buy takeaway

Muchtoomuchtodo · 04/04/2020 20:36

There were definitely people sunbathing on the green and beach that I saw during my walk from home today.

South Wales.

wanderings · 04/04/2020 20:37

If there was a total lockdown then at least it would cut out all the 'can I (insert ridiculous thing that of course you cannot do)' threads.
No it wouldn't, they'd be there all the more, just to wind the puritans up!

The MN recording angels with their haloes and pitchforks are on a right old witchhunt today, just as I predicted. Oliver Cromwell would be proud of the misery.

CeibaTree · 04/04/2020 20:38

Nothing on the Royal Parks twitter or website about this - are you sure it was Bushy Park?

fallfallfall · 04/04/2020 20:38

maybe those that will pass away will be the fortunate recipients of the darwin awards. the reality is not enough people have died yet. at some point everyone will have lost a loved one and will figure out they are not immune.

Fiddlersgreen · 04/04/2020 20:38

@Inkpaperstars the LONDON Borough of Richmond? Definitely classed as London

I only posted this video when I saw it because how annoyed I was seeing how some people continue to completely disregard the clear guidance and instructions given. I was intrigued by the posters absolutely insisting it definitely can't be real!

You must really hate cyclists OP to have chosen that as your title. Do you try and shoehorn it into your everyday conversations too?

Huh? I was thinking that looking at all the people featured, did it really look like they were all exercising (like the large number of cyclists would be). If your a cyclist then you need to be a less sensitive!

Hopefully it’s a flashback video of last year? It’s certainly Springtime anyway because there’s cherry blossom in one shot.

Nanalisa60 · 04/04/2020 20:47

GREAT we will all have to suffer full lockdown come Monday !!

Randomschoolworker19 · 04/04/2020 20:48

This is why we're going to end up with a stricter lock down.

Please note that no one actually wants a stricter lock down. I'll repeat that. NO ONE ACTUALLY WANTS A STRICTER LOCK DOWN.

We're just going to end up needing one because people can't get behind the spirit of the guidelines. Instead they find any loophole they can to justify their selfish actions.

"Well the guidelines don't say I can't go to the shop everyday."

No they don't.... but they do ask you to shop as infrequently as possible so you can infer that you probably shouldn't go every day...

Maybe we need to spell it out even clearer for people....
