Continued support for those who need a few kind words to help them through the dips.

Please do not come here to ask 'but how do you know if you haven't had a test'

@Lovelesslily hand holding here. Take deep breaths if you can.
Lots of people have had chills/shaking on this board.

Is there anyone who can sit with you?

Casino218 · 31/03/2020 20:32

Catching up with friends tonight. I have one living in Bergamo Italy and another in France. It sounds horrendous let's hope we can flatten this curve of infection. I'm hoping to god what I have is CV because I can't bear worrying about catching it!

Be aware about the tests. If you haven't sampled from deep enough or it's too late to pick up virus you will just test negative.

@Lovelesslily what's your temperature? If it is high you may shake?

Sending a big virtual (and very gentle) hug to anyone feeling afraid tonight. 2 days ago I was really scared but have turned a corner. It will get better.

TheDrsWife46 · 31/03/2020 20:37

@littleblackdress04 11yr old has coughed since friday 20th. On the sunday she was flaked out and bad. Shes rallied now.

Now the little one has started.

TheWooisStrong · 31/03/2020 20:38

Feeling yucky and achey again tonight. No point going to bed early as I won’t sleep.
Covid can just bog off.

mymoonmyman2020 · 31/03/2020 20:38

Thank you @oncemore! Flowers

OneDayAtATime123 · 31/03/2020 20:39

I asked a Teladoc specialist on what 'Breathlessness' means. He said that if I have trouble speaking for a few minutes, or get winded from walking to the kitchen, then I should consider that as 'Breathlessness' .

findingschools4myboys · 31/03/2020 20:40

Anyone else feel like they have to yawn all day? I sear I have been yawning hundreds of times today. Usually to get that deep breath.

findingschools4myboys · 31/03/2020 20:42

@OneDayAtATime123
I was told by a doc who is seeing lots of covid patients in ICU and also a respiratory doc that the breathlessness they worry about is when you are struggling at rest or cannot speak a couple of sentences.
I have an oximeter. Whenever I have felt breathless I check it and it’s always normal - 97-99% (I didn’t test when I was at my worst as didn’t have it then)

Knowhowufeel2 · 31/03/2020 20:43

@Howmanysleepsnow, yes I've had sharp pains in my side and I'm on etanercept. Didn't link it to this?

TheDrsWife46 · 31/03/2020 20:44

Im yawning constantly. And when im sleeping it feels like my chest is caving in and i wake up gasping. I cant do night times.

stayathomegardener · 31/03/2020 20:47

@Lovelesslily I'm glad you are getting a call back, didn't mean to worry you but the kidney infection symptoms need checking out.

Can you write out a timeline of symptoms and any stats you have like temperature or pulse rate. Super helpful for them and hopefully keeps your mind occupied.

littleblackdress04 · 31/03/2020 20:47

@TheDrsWife46 are you getting any chest pains?

UncomfortableBadger · 31/03/2020 20:47

@oncemorewithfeeling99 That’s so encouraging to hear - thank you. Have you done a summary of your symptoms/progression on these threads already? Would be really interested to see it.

OneDayAtATime123 · 31/03/2020 20:48

maybe it is in my mind, but taking high doses of Vitamin C seems to help when I am feeling exhausted. I checked online to see if there is a connection and found several like these.

hollieberrie · 31/03/2020 20:49

Checking back in as feeling quite tearful and scared this evening. Have developed a horrible cough and just feel so...ill. I think I'm on day 17 ish from the very first symptoms. Genuinely felt a bit frightened earlier, the fever and shivers are so scary. I'm so glad you are all here.

Casino218 · 31/03/2020 20:50

Just feeling round my ribs. The pain does seem more prominent in areas where there is cartilage. I'm swayed by the Costochondritis theory.

OP posts:
Casino218 · 31/03/2020 20:52

@hollieberrie yes I can honestly say most of us have been through that here. I'm sure it will settle as the symptoms are very up and down.

OP posts:
Porcupineinwaiting · 31/03/2020 20:57

@hollieberrie have a handhold. I had the worst day so far today and am very down. Cant see an end in site at all. My body doesn't seem to be able to break this virus, it just regroups and comes back stronger.

That said my lungs are pretty much clear, blood o2 is fine, sore throat gone, diarrhoea gone - just hard to see the positives when you feel so bloody ill.

hollieberrie · 31/03/2020 20:58

@Casino218 Thanks, thats very reassuring to know. Am going to read back through threads 3 and 4 now, it's so comforting to know others are also going through it and coping. Hope youre on the mend.

ShastaBeast · 31/03/2020 20:58

I’ve seen things refer to day 14-18 as a bad patch. As well as around 6-10. Things calmed down for me yesterday on day 19. It’s odd how variable it can be and you can feel fine one day and suddenly feel much worse again the next.

longshot · 31/03/2020 21:00

@hollieberrie, I was really bad on day 17, ended up at the Covid GP centre. I am feeling quite a bit better now Day 21, still not recovered but not so scared anymore, more fed up with it!

OneDayAtATime123 · 31/03/2020 21:00

@alittleprivacy
My pulse rate jumped to 135 yesterday. Tried belly breathing relaxation techniques (check it on YouTube) and got it down to 88 in less than 10 minutes.

Needsomegoodnews · 31/03/2020 21:01

@SchrodingersKitty @EMichel102 @findingschools4myboys sounds like the head and eye pressure may be ‘normal’ then - I’m pretty fed up with this virus throwing out new surprises! It does sound like those of us past 2 weeks of symptoms are improving now though, even if not fully recovered. Patience is a virtue and all that...

@alittleprivacy, @Lovelesslily and others dealing with the racing heart and shakes - this along with feeling like I couldn’t get enough breath was what terrified me a fair few times but as @Casino218 mentioned it’s a good sign that your body is upping the fight and sorting things out and it will pass. Call it in if breathing is rapid, you can’t speak in sentences though or fever gets very high though. Hugs to anyone suffering this eve x
