Continued support for those who need a few kind words to help them through the dips.

Please do not come here to ask 'but how do you know if you haven't had a test'

@alphasox I've never once managed to find a raised temperature but have had weird face flushing.

Gettingthereslowly1 · 30/03/2020 21:01

Thank you to you both. I will call 111
I hope everyone on here feels better soon

Littleninja1 · 30/03/2020 21:13

Checking in on day 17. I'm not sure if it's helpful or not but in case anyone does find it helpful I'll keep a track of it. I'm not able to keep up with everyone on the thread now it's grown so much, but I hope you are all coming through the worst and feeling sunnier soon.

Last night I was exhausted and couldn't sleep after being out of bed for a few hours watching tv. General aches still.

Today I was out of bed to shower and read for an hour or so. Got the chills for first time in days and back to bed. Fell asleep. Quite breathless tonight and some aching in my left ribs. My joints hurt in general all over so I'm guessing there is some inflammation going on.

stayathomegardener · 30/03/2020 21:17

@longshot day 19 here.

Chest pains are barely there if resting but return if I do anything at all.

Bra is definitely not back on.

Bornlazy · 30/03/2020 21:25

I am day 16 I think and don’t feel as exhausted as I did. I had a rubbish night last night with terrible abdominal pain and pain in my back which I think was trapped wind. It’s the gift that keeps on giving 😨

Ipadipod · 30/03/2020 21:33

I posted a couple of hours ago and didn’t feel too bad , my throat and headache are now getting worse , I feel hot and bones are starting to ache .

Littleninja1 · 30/03/2020 21:49

@ipadipod many of us have found our symptoms come and go quite strongly. This can help:
Rest - even when feeling better take it very, very easy
Water - drink extra, this virus dries you out and that makes you feel worse and can also cause kidney pain
Paracetamol - take it every four hours. Don't wait to feel ill, just keep taking it every four hours.

This will pass. Let your body do what it needs to fight it off x

tangledyarn · 30/03/2020 22:15

@stayathomegardener Me too. I cant ever imagine wanting to put a bra back on again! The idea of feeling more restricted is horrible!

897654321abcvrufhfgg · 30/03/2020 22:16

Am not sure if my symptoms are something or just physical tiredness. Started with slight cough 2 days ago. Nothing worrying, almost like something stuck in the back of my throat. Then this morning I woke up and I just can’t put my finger on it but I just don’t feel quite right. My upper back really aches and my chest feels heavy. Temperature is only 37.3 though, Took my self to bed at 8 but can’t sleep. My son (10) was sent home from school ill 10 days ago with cough and fever.

ofwarren · 30/03/2020 22:17

My night time symptoms are starting late!
Tonight is chills.
My temperature isn't particularly low but I feel like I've got ice in my bones.
A bit brain foggy and disorientation too.

I've coughed a little bit this evening and brought up some clear phlegm. My chest feels much easier. Even the burn in my back has gone.
This virus is bizarre. Id prefer flu. At least I understand the progression of it.

TheDrsWife46 · 30/03/2020 22:18

A bad night for me here. I feel extremely sick and like im going to have diarrhoea. Everyone is messaging at how i need to be positive, recognise how lucky I am, fight back, stay strong, kick back, join the togetherness thats harnessing the world.

And i cant. I feel so fucking ill. I feel like I am in the fucking pits of the earth and that humanity is rising up without me.

ofwarren · 30/03/2020 22:18

Totally agree tangled! I haven't wore a bra for over a week.
Is anyone managing to wear one?

tanyauk · 30/03/2020 22:19

Hello all
Another sufferer with burning lungs! I had a low grade temperature since day one and the very first symptom for me was cold sweaty feet and fast hear beat. I thought it was anxiety but then this burning feeling came when I took a breath in.
I am on day 5. I am generally OK throughout the day, feel worse when hungry. I feel much better after having a meal.
I am doing breathing exercises every hour, trying to get lower part of lungs working. Deep slow breaths and very long slow breath outs.
Rang GP, they said they are advising everyone to ring 111.
I don't have respiratory discomfort (yet), just weakness and burning sensation mostly in the evening.

I had a new symptom today - couldn't tolerate any loud noise. Even radio in the kitchen playing soft rock sent me crazy!
I never felt like this before, it feels like a roller coaster, one day is good, another worse. Hope my family is going to be OK...I have my elderly Mom living with us .
It is a shame we can't be tested, we all think it is COVID, pretty positive. I read an article about one MP who was tested positive and she said she had burning chest but no cough.
Wishing everyone a speedy recovery xx

tangledyarn · 30/03/2020 22:20

Interestingly I had a sick note sent to me today from my gp today and it just said 'covid19' on it so I presume they are pretty certain, i cant imagine what else it could be but I also worry that it might be another weird mystery respiratory illness. In a sense it makes no difference either way, but it would be really helpful to know particularly for work and not to think I need to go back into the world (when I can get out again!) feeling even more vulnerable health wise than I did before.

ofwarren · 30/03/2020 22:20

So sorry TheDrsWife what is it with these horrendous night times? It's like the virus knows and comes out to play.
It's the weirdest thing

tangledyarn · 30/03/2020 22:22

@thedrswife46 sorry Flowers What helped you to get through last night?

TheWooisStrong · 30/03/2020 22:25

@ofwarren Day 19 and I wore a bra for the first time in ages today, must be on the mend.

KayakingOnDown · 30/03/2020 22:25

Can't keep up with the thread now. I was one of the very first posters.

Day 14 now. Feeling much better. Pain is very mild and I can breathe easily. I'm still tired though. If I was to exercise I know I'd get breathless very quickly

Going to try to rest as much as possible so I get over post-viral fatigue as soon as possible.

TheDrsWife46 · 30/03/2020 22:26

@tangledyarn this thread (or the last one rather). And then i took a sleeping tablet at 1am.

I have diarrhoea again. Revoltingly I can cope better with that than all the rest as it feels like Im purging myself of it.

Im desperate to see a doctor and yet I know there is nothing a doctor can do for me.

(And no my DH is not a Dr despite the user name)

longshot · 30/03/2020 22:27

I am back in a bra!! Had a good 10 days without one and think I managed it around day 17 again!

ofwarren · 30/03/2020 22:28

@TheWooisStrong I never thought I'd be looking forward to wearing a bra 😂
@KayakingOnDown I'm glad you seem to be on the mend. It gives me hope.

tangledyarn · 30/03/2020 22:28

@ofwarrem I've not worn for 3 weeks, so maybe thats my bra relationship done! Although I've also not left the house so it might not work out so well at work for me Grin

ofwarren · 30/03/2020 22:29

@longshot woohoo for the bra wearing! I think I'm going to treat myself to a nice new one after this hell ends

ofwarren · 30/03/2020 22:31

@tangledyarn I bet even leaving the house feels strange after 3 weeks. Going to end up squinting at the daylight 😂

tangledyarn · 30/03/2020 22:31

@thedrswife46 Shame these no real dr at home! Keep posting and be reassured by that were all in the same boat, you can get through tonight just like you did last night. It will start to feel a bit easier at somepoint xx
