I'm not sure it's going to be what anyone thinks at this stage considering his reaction to the police comment last night !

Bittersweet12 · 23/03/2020 19:09

That's what my oh says, he says he thinks everyone's going to get it in there mind it's going to be a 'lock down' announcement and won't be

Scruffyoak · 23/03/2020 19:15

I think announcement tonight to start at 00.01

covetingthepreciousthings · 23/03/2020 19:15

I actually wonder if it'll just be the major Hmmannouncement of non essential business closures..

KoalasandRabbit · 23/03/2020 19:27

BBC reporting UK people abroad have been told to get home immediately so presumably its full lockdown coming. Sometimes people do get split, it's rare but not a time to be taking your chances.

Bittersweet12 · 23/03/2020 19:31

On sky news they said it was a recommendation to go home if your abroad from uk whilst you can but wasn't an order

AutumnRose1 · 23/03/2020 19:42

coveting “ I'm not sure it's going to be what anyone thinks at this stage considering his reaction to the police comment last night !”

I thought he looked utterly horrified by that, but so far have found no one agrees with me...what did you think?

I thought he looked utterly horrified by that, but so far have found no one agrees with me...what did you think?*

Yes I thought that too, like he didn't think that would even be a solution at any point.. BUT maybe it's because he's going to go straight in with the army.

covetingthepreciousthings · 23/03/2020 19:44

Sorry bold fail!

I'm getting more and more anxious as 8.30 gets closer Sad anyone else? I want a lockdown, but at the same time it terrifies me that we don't know how long it would even be for.

AutumnRose1 · 23/03/2020 19:57

Thanks covet

I thought I was the only person in the world!

FecktheBoss · 23/03/2020 20:01

Shutting non essential shops tomorrow - they need at least a day to sort things out, Corona bill through on thurs, parliment doesn't sit on a friday as MPs return home do my reakoning is lockdown on Friday any time from lunchtime onwards.

amy85 · 23/03/2020 20:14

I think my main worry is of the kids are at their dads (he lives about an hour away) when lockdown happens...I'm panicking I won't be able to get them back.

Then also how does contact work in lockdown....does it just stop for however many weeks

Pubs are finding loopholes! They are serving take aways. I didn't leave my house over the weekend but there was complete uproar on the local Facebook about it because they advertised it and then the locals that live down there posted pictures of all the people congregating! “

In which case, Coveting I apologise unreservedly, I’m sorry.

I have 3 very close, vulnerable , dearly loved ones and this kind of behaviour, people wilfully ignoring advice and going out almost out of spite, is making me wretched. I’m not usually a vindictive person but I hope they reap what they’re sowing.

Freeshavocado · 23/03/2020 20:46

No notice then really! Wish he had just said the word lockdown.

FOJN · 23/03/2020 21:02

Lockdown has started.
