Jenasaurus · 20/03/2020 15:02
I think they should change the time of the announcement to 5pm
Jenasaurus · 20/03/2020 15:03
I am finding too much of my day is spent checking the numbers and this thread, maybe I should step away from MN

Shehab Khan - 'NEW: Decision on what happens with students exams (GCSEs and A-levels) is here.
- Grades will be calculated based on prior attainment, mock exams, and non-exam assessments
- Students who are not happy with their grade can sit an exam next academic year.'
Uni's will be next to go bust as they probably will have half of the next cohort defering for a year if they can start teaching.'
Jenasaurus · 20/03/2020 15:06
I feel sorry for students that were working hard to improve their grades from the mock results, I wonder if anything else will be taken into account .

Danny Shaw - 'I’ve been told a prison staff member at Usk jail, Monmouthshire, is in intensive care with Covid 19, the second prison officer to develop the disease after an officer at High Down.'
Jenasaurus · 20/03/2020 15:11
if it spread through the prisons that will be impossible to control angryrant

So I'm seeing 144 have died in the UK and over 3,000 tested positive for Coronavirus. They aren't testing unless in hospital so there are a lot in hospital plus a huge, huge amount must be positive who haven't tested.
Thinking we must be close to the period of rapid acceleration. Yet, buses still running and they are busy, no ones wiping hand rails down.
What the actual F#*% is happening here ?
ofwarren · 20/03/2020 15:14
The other thread 31 is being deleted.
I just want to say too, just because something is printed in a 'red top' doesn't automatically make it null and void. Hell, I have been agreeing with Piers Morgan over and over again recently!
These are unprecedented times and I'm not going to stop sharing various news sources, just because people don't like them.
Don't like it? Dont read it.

SE rail have just cancelled a huge amount of trains.
Either businesses are taking it more seriously than govt (who'd a thunk it) or there's an announcement coming very shortly.
I have no words for that Wetherspoons bloke, about from the usual like twat, wanker etc etc.

Exams have been cancelled in May and June in light of the #coronavirus pandemic.
Exam regulator @ofqual and other exam boards will work with teachers to provide grades based on teacher assessments, coursework and mock results.

Can anyone explain our numbers today, I saw a graph and it looks quite high
lubeybooby · 20/03/2020 15:18
been looking for this thread all day, must have hidden the other one by mistake
are our numbers out yet?
Lifesavesocialdistance · 20/03/2020 15:20
Of Warren, totally agree.
I hate the way people dismiss red tops.
All media is bound by libel etc . We all know the problems with them and mn is mostly an intelligent educated crowd.
I would always look at different papers for any information on anything I was interested in
Sunshinesky1981 · 20/03/2020 15:21
i thought only Scotland had announced numbers for today so far?
Coquohvan · 20/03/2020 15:31
@ofwarren I didn’t say stop posting RedTop stories. Just that at times they are very misleading and proven to be half a story at times, hence not a reliable source.
I will continue to read your updates and deduce for myself the accuracy of the articles/stories.
Thank you for your continued updates.

Just had the first family milestone we couldn’t attend as isolating due to health.
Our eldest grandchild has left their primary School today for the last time.
We were sent a video of the children lining up in the playground clapping the P7,s out of school. So moving to see and so sad that we weren’t able to be there for it.
