Just interested to see what is happening in different areas around the UK right now. From high coronavirus areas to low coronavirus areas.

South east, not going out. Complying with government requests

Waiting1987 · 19/03/2020 19:48

Scotland and I'm still working so no choice but to go out.

ParkheadParadise · 19/03/2020 19:49

I'm in Glasgow. Today I have seen plenty people out and about. The park was full of children. Usual group of teenagers about the shopping centre.

FrenchyQ · 19/03/2020 19:50

South east, I still have to go to work , so still out and about. My town is still fairly busy with people

NanSlayer · 19/03/2020 19:51

Nope I have a set of binoculars and can observe local shops and peoples behaviour from a distance like a sniper.

TashieWoo · 19/03/2020 19:52

SW London. Working from home but today I went to get a pedicure and waxing done as I wanted it done before lockdown. Nobody else in the salon and there was hand sanitizer etc. I’m working from home now and was going to go to the pub this evening but have cancelled. Cancelled going to w wedding this weekend. I’m going out to do my horses and that’s it.

Bluntness100 · 19/03/2020 19:53

Boris said in his press conference that transport for London was down eighty percent in the inner city and sixty percent in outer London. And clearly that includes people working.

Whenwillthisbeover · 19/03/2020 19:53

Yorkshire, walking the streets at 6am avoiding people, wfh and have done for years, only going into “public” places for food. Dropping food at elderlies when needed.

No other socials.

LizzieMacQueen · 19/03/2020 19:54

Central Scotland and only going out briefly to food shop every 3rd day. Not in self isolation (yet). Terrified I'll catch it.

NanSlayer · 19/03/2020 19:54

Cannot disclose location, ok near the seaside.

SapphireSalute · 19/03/2020 19:55

out for work where we are rammed with customers who just dont care

rude and entitled

oh, and as from tomorrow there will be kids added in to that mix

orangeicecream · 19/03/2020 19:57

South east... Teacher so going to school... About 75% kids in today and all but 3 teachers. Lessons as normal. On way home I've seen through the window that the leisure centre gym is half full and restaurants and bars have punters. So quietish but still plenty of people going about their normal lives.

Imapotato · 19/03/2020 19:58

South west. Work in a hospital. Still going out to the shops, etc. Still meeting up with friends at their homes and seeing parents.

We have very few confirmed cases where I am.

MrsJoshNavidi · 19/03/2020 19:59

South West - going to work at a building society.

Nomorewine77 · 19/03/2020 20:00

Dorset, I'm complying but everyone is just carrying on as normal!

AdoptedBumpkin · 19/03/2020 20:00

East Midlands, roughly. Only going out for essentials and fresh air. Seen a few people out and about on walks.

Chinks123 · 19/03/2020 20:01

Yorkshire, staying in with both dc but dp has to leave for work. All I see on Facebook though is people still out and about, still in cafes, soft play, pubs.
Lots of posts saying “please come support our Restaurant” and lots of comments saying yes we’ll still be coming. Hmm Makes me feel like I’m the crazy one for actually following guidelines and staying in....
with two dc I am doing the right thing aren’t I? I haven’t gone mad Grin

Hampshire. I went to work today for a bit and I've been to Morrisons. Until schools close tomorrow people might feel it's pointless to stay at home? We are not intending to go anywhere except supermarkets and I'll go running Saturday morning.

funpetals · 19/03/2020 20:03

Midlands. Locked down due to me and youngest having asthma.
Bored out of my mind although the house has never been so clean!

Tryingtogetitright · 19/03/2020 20:04

Like you Chinks we're staying inside - no playdates or seeing grandparents or any contact we can avoid. But everyone else seems to be carrying on as normal! Surely we all need to do our bit and not go out?

BirdintheWings · 19/03/2020 20:06

Southeast, working from home, sole trip out this week was to retrieve car from garage after repair and pick up medication.

But DS is on the way home from university. Given he had a head full of 'essay crisis' I suspect he may have been near-oblivious to the worldwide emergency and will be trailing no end of bugs into the house.

Xdes · 19/03/2020 20:06

I went food shopping yesterday and a burger place today I even took my 10 month old ? I’m in easy anglia. There was quite a few people about not many mind. We are not high risk so hope I’m not being selfish ?

heebie · 19/03/2020 20:06

Belfast. Only in and out for work/taking dc for a walk or on bikes to burn off some energy. City centre was a bit of a ghost town today; not many people about, lots of shops closed, three people in a coffee shop at nearly 12pm. Perhaps we've twigged on quickly by seeing how down South has reacted?

Chinks123 · 19/03/2020 20:06

I haven’t seen any family members at all, but yes @Tryingtogetitright I feel like I’m the only one round here. Everyone is else is still gallivanting about and I haven’t even seen my mum in 2 weeks. Dds school has been closed a while so we’ve not had to leave for days.
