Just interested to see what is happening in different areas around the UK right now. From high coronavirus areas to low coronavirus areas.

I did my usual weekly food shop. Used anti back wipes on trolley handle before, after and during use. Cleaned credit card immediately. The older man behind me at the checkout had no idea what 2 meters is.

Took DD for a walk around the small nature reserve down the road. It did us both a lot of good. We saw people but weren't near them.

I walked to the supermarket to collect next door neighbour’s prescription. It was pretty quiet out, better than yesterday, some dog walkers and we all stood at the extremes of the pavement when passing. Supermarket was fine and I could see plenty of fruit and veg from the pharmacy entrance.

I went to work and back today and yesterday.
I'm not due in work until Wednesday so plenty of Netflix and exercise vids for me!

Queued at Aldi before they opened. They let 75 in at a time - big queue. I wore a scarf around my face and kept my distance from the pp in front of me in the queue but the pp behind me kept shuffling nearer.

Later took dog for long country walk on my own. Lots of people about, mostly in small groups, and I was able to keep my distance.

South east and I’ll be going out for food and work.

Stuckinarut88 · 22/03/2020 19:14

South east London. I've been WFH since Tuesday and have only been out for walks, runs and a couple of very quick visits to the supermarket in the last 6 days.

I'm in the SE - key worker for NHS but able to wfh. DH is a key worker too and has contact with the public but his company are taking good protective measures. DD also works pt in the NHS, in a clinical setting but not patient facing.

DS is schooling at home.

I'm only going out if we need food - also have an elderly neighbour and elderly MIL to get bits for but trying to limit it as much as possible.

My poor neighbour is beside himself with worry and loneliness. I can chat to him on the phone and take him bits to leave at the door but he is so scared. I feel so bad and would love to go and have a cup of tea with him but with DH & DD still in contact with the public/work mates, its just not worth the risk. I feel sad every time I think about him Sad

South Wales and I am just dog walking really although I did a click and collect at my local supermarket yesterday. Partner working from home and children at home too, I cannot work from home so am currently still going into work.

OhTheRoses · 22/03/2020 19:22

Hmm. Supermarkets here are picked clean so yes am going out to buy food nd it's every other day. No delivery or click and collect slots. Three at home; DH still going into work. Gwtting through tons of food as all at home for breakfast, lunch and dinner and sheets of bogroll

I am WFH full time now, himself is still going to work but it’s there and back with no diversions. We live in rural Shropshire and went for a walk locally today, just us 2 and didn’t see anyone else apart from a woman tending to her horses on her own land.

Food wise, it’s OK here - we have a weeks worth in. I went to our local M&S on Friday rather than a big supermarket (which are struggling) and whilst it was hard to stay away from other shoppers, we were in and out swiftly. Our local butchers, greengrocers and bakery are coping really well and have ample stock. I’ve not struggled to get anything.

I really feel for everyone who is struggling, we are very very lucky in our circumstances.
