I saw someone walking a lovely Labrador puppy when I was driving to work this morning. Which made me think what about dog breeders, if they've got a litter of puppies newly arrived or due soon. Labradors can have litters of a dozen. Puppy buyers are likely to drop away in the current situation. What to do with all those puppies? SOMEONE THINK OF THE PUPPIES!

I work in a nursery. All those staff with few children...the place will be very, very tidy in a few months.

My hands are very very clean.
I won't be shaving my legs and armpits for the next few months.
I expect to lose weight because I want to make my food last as long as possible. So smaller portions and no snacking.

People have stopped going on about Brexit

Streets much quieter

Less pressure to meet in laws for mothers day / possibly Easter too

less mental load from school e.g. parents evenings, meetings, clubs and stuff all cancelled

It is Spring (although not related really, but I guess better than mid winter / over Christmas)

Orangeblossom78 · 20/03/2020 16:01

Oh, and that children are usually mildly affected

Roselilly36 · 20/03/2020 16:12

No plane noise
Drinking more wine
And I have remembered there is a box in the loft, full of ornaments wrapped in newspaper, that may come in handy!

Oysterbabe · 20/03/2020 16:15

I'm going to start cultivating a dystopian tank girlesque look. I'm going to start with dying my hair a crazy colour tonight. I won't be in the office or really seeing anyone for 3 months.

Orangeblossom78 · 20/03/2020 16:31

If it sticks around will we do more home working in future and maybe have more empathy for those with other illnesses?

Might it save the world? (less pollution, travelling etc)

Orangeblossom78 · 20/03/2020 16:31

No school run, for now

Orangeblossom78 · 20/03/2020 16:32

If people are spending less on going out might save up

might find new things which don't need to spend money on also, e.g. new hobbies

Bargebill19 · 21/03/2020 12:29

I hate socialising - now I don’t have to think of polite, acceptable reasons for not going on nights out.

Orangeblossom78 · 22/03/2020 13:24

I dislike the habit of 'air kissing' and hugging people there is around here and glad to not have to do that as much sometimes. Different with family you know well but not everyone
