We might run out of soap (if we’re lucky)

(Eastenders, Corrie etc)

I've been getting the garden sorted (mostly to get away from my family who are working/studying from home).
I've planted a load of veg & salad to cover the inevitable shortage once the Spanish veg stops coming over.
My nan has joined FB so I'll be able to message her (she's deaf, pushing 100, and lives 200 miles away).
My vast knowledge store of kids' activity ideas has finally come in useful, now everybody wants to know what to do while homeschooling.

TheGreatWave · 18/03/2020 10:19

My Mum doesn't have to do jury service. Apparently you can be called anytime up to your 76th birthday, however she has had to defer under the current circumstances and will then be too old.

Areyoufree · 18/03/2020 10:23

I've stopped biting my nails - been trying to stop that for decades!

wrongsideofhistorymyarse · 18/03/2020 13:28

LOL at ISIS saying Europe is too dangerous for terrorism.

The absolute bellends.

Al1Langdownthecleghole · 18/03/2020 14:26

Loving the quiet, quick journeys to work.
Loving the lack of airplane noise.

awesomeaircraft · 18/03/2020 14:30

Less traffic.

JudyCoolibar · 18/03/2020 15:46

Canals in Venice now have much clearer water, dolphins and swans appearing - www.standard.co.uk/news/world/dolphins-venice-canals-coronavirus-lockdown-italy-a4390686.html.

Just a shame we can't go and see it.

Bargebill19 · 18/03/2020 16:16

Due to social distancing rules, tailgating on the m6 has stopped.

MoonBlood · 18/03/2020 17:16

I’ve told the 3 older kids to pick something new they’re interested in to learn and practise. My eldest is learning a language with duo lingo, my middle one is doing a video course online and my younger of the older three older kids has taken up the ukulele!

I’ve printed out and some laminated some things to play and learn with my toddler. She already knows basic numbers, colours and shapes so we’re doing the alphabet, numbers to 20 and practising colouring in the lines 😂

MoonBlood · 18/03/2020 17:24

That should say a video editing course*

Goldrill · 18/03/2020 17:26

I normally swim a lot and have kept my toenails painted for approximately a decade because I suspect they are quite gross. No swimming so I have removed the polish and am actually treating the hideous mess underneath! They may even be normal by the time this is over.

Stellaris22 · 18/03/2020 17:49

@MoonBlood I loved the penguin article!

sanityisamyth · 18/03/2020 17:49

Eurovision is cancelled 👏👏👏

Reginabambina · 18/03/2020 17:51

They’ve canceled the annoying fair that’s supposed to be happening a block over from my house during the Easter holidays.

susandelgado · 18/03/2020 17:58

Is that the Eurovision Song Contest has been cancelled 😉

Frokni · 18/03/2020 18:06

vodkaredbullgirl · 18/03/2020 18:08

Not getting stuck in traffic, on the way home from a night shift.

daisychain01 · 18/03/2020 18:10

LOL at ISIS saying Europe is too dangerous for terrorism.

I'd have thought they'd be pissed off that everyone is indoors and they can't find anyone to terrorise. Good riddance!

InMySpareTime · 18/03/2020 19:27

DS will probably get away with doing arse-all revision for his A Levels now exams are cancelled.
DD is annoyed as her GCSE target grades were 7-8s but she was expecting to get mostly 9s because she's worked her butt off.
I've told the DCs that they don't have to worry about being bored, there are neighbours that need shopping delivered/dogs walking/prescriptions fetching, and they are perfectly placed to do this.

Lweji · 18/03/2020 19:30

Hmmm
Coronavirus could be the final nail in the coffin for ISIS. How likely are they to isolate?

Lweji · 18/03/2020 19:33

Its shut the climate emergency nutters up.

I think you'll find them having parties over how pollution and emissions have reduced. Wink
Maybe Greta started coronavirus. HmmGrin

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 18/03/2020 19:53

OMG Lweji Grin
