Do you have a holiday booked for the Easter break and, if so, where to and are you still planning to go!

Mexico in April. Still going so far.

Spain just after Easter.

I will be going unless flights are stopped.

We are due to fly to Cyprus in April. We have a holiday home there planned to stay for 4 weeks.

@juicy0 and @butterflystar76 - we cancelled a trip from Australia to Morocco on Monday. We were meant to be going at Easter for two weeks. Was to be 7 of us. Right now probably lost about £2k to £3k in unrecoverable costs.

Italy in April but we decided to postpone about 2 weeks ago and rebooked the same holiday for the same equivalent dates next year.

Switzerland first week of April. Right on border with Italy. Really don’t know what to do. Dh thinks go, I worry about wider impact. Everything we have booked (apartment, lift passes) is non-refundable so if FCO doesn’t ban travel and therefore we can’t claim on insurance the loss will be quite galling. But as PP said, I suppose you have to do the right thing.

We have a holiday booked for east Asia. Right now most of the attractions and sights at our destination are closed. If they remain so, we won't be going - I am not flying for a day to sit in a hotel and watch Netflix.

If things open, we'll go. We don't get any money back if we chose not to travel, although our airline has just said they plan to offer some rebooking beyond normal T&Cs, so we may think about rebooking for August or October.

I hope our holiday is cancelled. If it's not, I suspect we will go.
Nothing booked for the summer. Suspect that will be a last minute UK break, if DH can get time off.

Abu Dhabi over Easter. We're waiting to see what happens over the next couple of weeks.

Due to be going to Czech republic who have now banned all travellers from the UK. I'm assuming I will get full refunds on flights and hotel without going through insurance.

BackInTime even if that is the case, if the virus spreads as it seems to be, going on a holiday really won’t be altering anyone’s chances of catching it or not. Either stay in the UK & catch it in Sainsbury’s or go to Spain & catch it on the beach.

I agree travelling to a country worse affected would be unwise. But not a country similarly affected. It’s only like driving from England to Wales.

We’re going to Canada unless there’s a travel ban.

Thailand over the Easter holidays. We've paid for the whole family to go. Our daughter-in-law and step-granddaughter are Thai and this will be their first trip home since they moved here, so we are reluctant to cancel but will wait and see nearer the time.

France in 4 weeks time. If we cancel now we get most of the money back. I’m wavering. Do you think there’s any chance at all that this will be on the decline by then?

Norway and Norwegian government have effectively closed the country to foreign visitors for two weeks...aaaaagh!

Mexico in 3 weeks. We're going unless they ban us from entering. Only 10 cases in Mexico at this point.

We're going with TUI so will get a full refund if the FCO ban travel.

Slightly worried about returning/getting back and also leaving 17 yr DS home alone. Although his dad is about too if we get stranded.

I can’t understand why people would go on holiday. Even if it feels like flushing money down the toilet why would you want to flush your health down after it too?

@forumqueen we only get our money back if it is all cancelled or the country closes etc. We get nowt if we just decide we don't want to go. I fully expect a travel ban tbh so I doubt it will be a decision I will have to make in the end anyway.

Yes. I had a trip to Italy planned with some of my grandchildren but I cancelled it about 2 weeks ago. Ive no regrets and the money we've lost for football matches etc is a small price to pay for peace of mind.
