Wondering if it’s someone who’s started it to force the government’s hand or whether it’s actually true....

Sprinkle a few snowflakes on the ground.

few autumn leaves would work too

corvidsagainstcovid · 11/03/2020 20:36

This is not a good day! Who's next? Trump?!

If that's true then what's not to like?

strawberrylipgloss · 11/03/2020 20:38

I think we'd see events like Cheltenham and football matches cancelled before a lockdown.

zonkin · 11/03/2020 20:39

Perhaps one of us needs to confirm this rumour with a friend of a friend of a friend who is high up in government....but don't pass it on to the general public. Just share it here and on Twitter. We'll keep schtum.

JustInCaseCakeHappens · 11/03/2020 20:39

Wait until Kim Jong-un get elected to replace Trump, oh how much you'll regret him.

Did the late Gordon ever cook for the Great Leader?

Talisin · 11/03/2020 20:39

[puts on best Brian Blessed Voice]

GORDON’S ALIVE!!!

ginandnappies · 11/03/2020 20:41

Hang on, I seen something online that Gok Wan is going round everyone self isolating and doing makeovers (mask included obviously) are you telling me THIS ISNT TRUE?!

minou123 · 11/03/2020 20:42

few autumn leaves would work too

Re-introduce 'Boris Cycle Lanes'

millie101 · 11/03/2020 20:43

Of course it’s not true, if you read it on SM. it’ll be pubs trying to increase Saturday night sales, like they did in Italy. Party TIL you get pneumonia. Idiots.

The80sweregreat · 11/03/2020 20:45

On a serious note it feels very odd at the moment. I work as a minion in a primary school in the UK and its business as usual.
Joking apart I am worried now when I really wasn't before. I just hope mumsnet stays online as your all quite sensible here!

Devlesko · 11/03/2020 20:45

Pandemic, Lockdown.
Sounds like a film. Only it bloody well isn't.

AllAboutHallowsEve · 11/03/2020 20:46

Gordon is wiv da angles now 😥

StealthPolarBear · 11/03/2020 20:47

Poor Gordon. Did he work in London?

Jenasaurus · 11/03/2020 20:50

According to my recent search of Gordon Ramsey being dead on bing, he;s died several times, once in 2010, once in 2017 and again early in 2019...

Cheeryandmerry · 11/03/2020 20:50

Ha ha I was just thinking of the GORDON’s ALIIIIIVE! line too!

(Dumdumdumdum FLASH! Aaaaa-aaaah.....saviour of the universe! Dumdumdumdumdum........)

StealthPolarBear · 11/03/2020 20:51

Poor man has no luck

JustInCaseCakeHappens · 11/03/2020 20:52

I heard the London Marathon was going to be dedicated to him this year. Not sure what they'll do if when it's cancelled during the lockdown.

LightAsTheBreeze · 11/03/2020 20:52

I imagine they will let the football coaches through

AuntieStella · 11/03/2020 20:54

Lockdown?

That's what you get when two couples have a tied score on Pointless

They even sing a little jingle for it

bemoreeverything · 11/03/2020 20:54

Wondering if it’s someone who’s started it to force the government’s hand or whether it’s actually true....

Really? Do you really think the government would make such a monumental decision based on what people are saying on social media? Surely not Hmm

Goawayquickly · 11/03/2020 20:55

To die once is sad, to die twice is just showing off Gordon

The80sweregreat · 11/03/2020 20:57

The Lockdown song is brill! I hope they put Pointless on a loop when I'm stuck indoors with the family. I live with 3 men so I need something to keep me sane.
It is worrying to be fair. I do feel sorry for people with small children if schools do shut etc. It is a nightmare

Reginabambina · 11/03/2020 20:57

Ha! If they’re going to lockdown anywhere it sure as hell won’t be London, it’s just far too important don’t you know?

HeronLanyon · 11/03/2020 20:58

Bloody hell ! It does all feel a bit surreal. No doubt Italians and Chinese and others have been thinking just this and more.
Beginning to think back a few years when I did experimental summer walks - to dps house (50 mins) and to my aged ma’s house (3hours). Mixed feelings as she died last year but thank goodness not worrying about her or train restrictions if they happen etc.

minou123 · 11/03/2020 20:58

Rubbish! That's a terrible rumour to start.
I think you'll find the event dedicated to Gordon is the concert "The boys are back!".

It features 5ive,A1, Damage, 911
