Newjez I'd add employers allow (and actively encourage) all those who can work from home to do so.
I'd also like better clarity from the media. Several headlines quoting WHO advice for higher risk categories avoiding crowds....but edited to suggest over 60s alone are higher risk. In fact the WHO included those of any age with prexisting conditions. Its dangerous as it could lull people into a false sense of security, not to mention make it harder for those at increased risk to persuade employees to allow WFH. It seems a bit pointless also people self isolating unless the whole household does?
Aren't we the fifth largest economy in the world? We should reinstate the crisis loans. An immediate emergency payout (no 5 week wait) for people on zero hours and/or with no sick pay for self isolation.
Agree the number of cases is likely way higher than officially confirmed. Delays to testing, people with symptoms not being tested unless known contacts, possible false negatives...
