So we aren't going to find out what cobra decided until tomorrow?
I'm not overly panicking yet, I have a fair amount of food in anyway, but I'm going to top up tins, bread flour and UHT milk, plus paracetamol and calpol.
My two main concerns are that two family members are due to be at crufts for the entire duration, and that we are supposed to be going to Europe at Easter.

@BrokenBrit

New Coronavirus topic threads not appearing in active anymore?

Apologies and thanks for letting us know. It's 'new section teething problems'. It should be fixed now.

babychange12 · 02/03/2020 12:58

Information from Singapore gov on latest cases. Love the transparency, they provide age, travel history and links to any clusters. We need information like this in the UK

AlunWynsKnee · 02/03/2020 12:59

@alloutoffucks but how could they find enough foster carers who would take incubating children? My brain's really running with this one!

persin · 02/03/2020 13:01

probably only one of you would be severely ill if at all

ofwarren · 02/03/2020 13:01

News the live update thing is crazy! I have only been on it in the last hour and it's risen a fair amount Confused

BrokenBrit · 02/03/2020 13:04

Thanks @MichaelMumsnet.

Ijustneed · 02/03/2020 13:04

Someone posted earlier about over 60s being advised to avoid crowded places ... Can I ask what the source was? My mum wants me to take her to the supermarket and I'd rather not, she's 81, asthmatic and not too well.

Horehound · 02/03/2020 13:05

Does the live counter get updates once daily by each country or is it just constantly running?

Spacecadetagain · 02/03/2020 13:06

@Ijustneed could she do an online shop ? Or you do it for her ? Even I’m not overly fussed about going to a supermarket at the moment

ofwarren · 02/03/2020 13:07

Jordan reports first case of coronavirus t.co/eUoE2b20hL

glueandstick · 02/03/2020 13:08

Would you be limiting your visits to places with lots of kids like adventure playgrounds etc?

ofwarren · 02/03/2020 13:09

Places like that are germ magnets at the best of times glue

glueandstick · 02/03/2020 13:10

@ofwarren oh yes utter filth buckets. I’d never visit if I could. I don’t know if I’m being a little alarmist not going until this blows over.

Ijustneed · 02/03/2020 13:10

Thanks @Spacecadetagain and @MissPoldark. Yes I can do an online shop, she'll drive me mad, mind! Dithering ... Lol. She'll just want to know where I got the info from ...

AvocadoOwl · 02/03/2020 13:11

Does the live counter get updates once daily by each country or is it just constantly running?

Depends on the country. Places like China and Italy (and perhaps even us now) only update figured once a day, other countries are reporting them as they go along.

mumoftwodc · 02/03/2020 13:14

Not sure if this has been posted. There's a Coronavirus case confirmed in Maidstone, Kent at Maidstone Studios according to Twitter.

SistemaAddict · 02/03/2020 13:14

Dc has a party at the local germ pit this weekend. I don't think we'll be going especially seeing as an invitee has been to northern Italy over half term. I'm
Always happy to be that parent if it means keeping my dc safe.

SansaSnark · 02/03/2020 13:14

I can't link as I'm on mobile but UK wide action plan to be published tomorrow according to the guardian.

Lllot5 · 02/03/2020 13:15

My son works in the travel industry, they have just cancelled a trade show in Berlin next week.

Redpriestandmozart · 02/03/2020 13:15

@HHH3

*I’ve been watching these threads but haven’t commented until now. And not sure if this has already been posted.

But this MS drug is being trialled for COVID-19

I have actually been on Fingolimod for MS, felt fantastic on it however I was taken off it very quickly as it caused a lot of side effects some potentially very serious!
