I think to some - if you're not frothing at the mouth critiquing Trump each day you must tacitly support him.

I think it is valid to talk about Trump on a thread about the war that he started. The Trump war. And what is Trump doing today on his war ? Yup. He is escalating it.

The US appears to have forgotten history, or maybe this regime is too up its own arse with hubris/religious fervour.

Almost every lesson in military history shows bombing does not push a people into submission. Like the blitz of London or allied forces fire bombing Hamburg, Dresden, Tokyo. There are some exceptions, like British gun boat diplomacy to force China to take opium. But the bombing has to be followed up with boots on the ground.

Yes the attack on those children was awful. I did a thread on it, regarding the Sky investigation. It's not an either or situation, its all awful and unnecessary.

But still - no one on this thread is "pro Trump" so why a thread on another board is being raised I do not know. Unless some of us are just not "anti- Trump" enough in your opinion?

I missed this post. I'd never seen a pro Trump thread and incorrectly assumed poster meant in was on the CITME board. I don't read every thread on mumsnet 😂 I'm not Pro Trump anyway.

You have to be vehemently "anti Trump" on a daily basis to be in the gang.

So not on these boards then. I work and don't read every single thread on MN. I have nothing positive to say about Trump so a thread somewhere else on MN that is positive towards Trump wouldn't interest me! So what was your point directing people to a Pro Trump thread somewhere else?

It's on Mumsnet. I see a fair few people who post on this thread who post on other threads on MN. It's not a link to a different forum.

I posted there to rebut claims made by the pro Trump posters. Is that not normal discourse ?

I also post on a "Trump News Thread", that has an anti Trump lean, to put it mildly. And any pro Trump poster can post there to rebut anything they disagree with.

So you issued a challenge for the Pro Trump thread (in a completely different section of MN) on a thread in the CITME board 🤔 hence I said where is the Pro Trump thread since I'd never seen it. Might have been better to issue your challenge there. Your comment rather implies you think that Pro Trump individuals are present on this thread or in the CITME board 🤔

The circles, the assumptions.

That's getting too technical for me. I don't really pidgeon hole things. For me a thread about a war that Trump started overlaps with lots of other threads. I do not seperate Trump cheating at golf from how he is running his war. I actually take his cheating at golf as a measure on how much he can be trusted at war.

This is social media after all, not a court of law. So for me, character witnesses are ok.

And my challange for pro Trumpers was in general. Not aimed at any specific posters.

That does appear to be more of a Saudi /Houthi thing though. Link is blocked for me though. They did have a long war, and it's not really settled. And what with SA bombing a Yemen airport last week.
