Doesn’t look like there will be much land left for the Palestinians.

And in other news, from the Guardian:

“Israel’s defence minister has said he is committed to the ethnic cleansing of Gaza through large-scale migration of Palestinians as part of Israel’s long-term plans for the territory.
Israel Katz said the government would implement a plan for large numbers of Palestinians to leave Gaza “at the right time and in the right manner”, in a statement on Wednesday marking the targeted killing of Mohammed Odeh, Hamas’s most recent military commander.
Pushing for mass departures violates Donald Trump’s ceasefire plan for Gaza, which Israel signed last year. The second point of the plan states: “Gaza will be redeveloped for the benefit of the people of Gaza, who have suffered more than enough.”
Israel’s government has promoted the prospect of Gaza without Palestinians since Trump suggested early last year that hundreds of thousands of people should leave to “clean out” the strip for reconstruction.
Last year Israel set up a bureau for “voluntary emigration” and eased travel restrictions for Palestinians who wanted to make a one-way journey out of the strip.
The forced transfer of civilian populations is a war crime and a crime against humanity. Israeli officials, including Katz, use the term “voluntary migration” to describe their ”

Why on earth should Palestinians become refugees, where they have zero status, when they have Palestine to live in. Their own country? Bloody hell!

They’ve refused countless offers of land and peace so of course there isn’t Palestine .
you could however look at the 2 million Israeli Arabs living in the state of Israel and compare their lifestyles. Maybe go visit Israel and aee
for yourself.

Quite. They don't want to leave the "apartheid state" to go to a better Arab state because there isn't one. In fact, the Arabs who left and later regretted it left because Syria, Jordan and Egypt unilaterally declared war on Israel and were defeated and unilaterally declared a peace treaty with Israel.

Good grief. Those Arab Israelis who live in a two tier apartheid system? That have 95 laws that disallow them to have equal rights to the Jewish Israelis? I’d rather visit North Cential Island.

I won't be replying to any private message. You can just put on the Google address. Anyway, I don't think a Palestinian restaurant will be offering anything different to most Meditteranean restaurants including Greek. I've had a Syrian breakfast when I was in Syria with my nice friends. Hummus, Olives, boiled eggs, salads, pitta. I gather the Israeli breakfast is very good.

And did Israel let them back in? Did they fuck.

Is that a joke? The BBC? I don’t trust them or sky. Please note that when a 17 year old hamas member gets killed in combat he’s listen as a child death. As I said in a previous post either on this thread or another, Hamas are laughing at you. They hide amongst civilians and when they manage to get them killed they know you’ll blame Israel. Unfortunately it’s war , a messy urban war and there are horrible casualties.

Keep on trusting your Israeli news sources then. And don’t complain about bias.

There isn’t a better Arab state? Have you seen flattened Palestine? Would you like to live there?

And, it’s still looking like a pretty one way system at the moment. Leave, and you don’t return. Rafah crossing was shut this week for two days. Nice.

What on earth has Hamas got to do with Lebanon? Think you are either being weirdly sarcastic, or you have seriously mixed up your Hezbollah from your Hamas. Either way, I think you’ll find the will find that these kids were most likely killed by Israel.

Be serious, please.

Hamas has everything to do with Lebanon. 7/10/23 was the spark that lit the reignited the regional powder keg.

DrPrunesqualer · 29/05/2026 21:13

Backing away slowly but first

People who use the phrase "be serious" as a tool to demean others often do so to invalidate your emotions, minimize your intellect, or assert dominance. By dismissing your thoughts as foolish or childish, they aim to lower your confidence and elevate their own status in the conversation. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Psychologically and behaviorally, people who resort to this type of condescension typically operate in a few distinct ways: 1, 2]

Masked Insecurity: Condescension is often a defense mechanism. When someone feels threatened by your knowledge or boundaries, they attack your validity rather than engaging with the argument itself.src="https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/NivLA9nL8Jk" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen> 1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Need for Control: They may use power-play tactics to shift the power dynamic. Forcing you to defend your seriousness—rather than them defending their insult—keeps you on the defensive. 1, 2, 3]

Contempt: This behavior stems from an attitude of superiority, treating your perspective as inferior or "beneath serious consideration"

Israel has always been murderous and genocidal to Palestinians . Israel started like ISIS ,a terrorist state targeting British soldiers and politicians and committing horrific atrocities, bombings etc. Israel now wants to create "greater israel" and steal much more land and kill more people. They have already taken parts of Syria and lebanon and they want more! That's why we are pushed to hate Muslims because they happen to live on the lands Israel wants and to watch and support people killed for land we must believe it's their fault, that's what people like Tommy Robinson are for and why he loves flying the Israel flag. I also find it interesting that many supporters of Israel will claim they have concerns about migrants in UK meanwhile supporting palestinans being replaced as well as murdered by people from another country and please don't give that they were there 3000 years ago crap, they immigrated there then too! Should Italians be allowed to kick all modern day Anglo Saxon heritage or non Celtic heritage Brits out because Romans came first???

Have they mentioned who started a war with Israel? There's a quote by Commander Harris of the RAF otherwise known as "Bomber Harris" from WW2. "The Nazis started a war and thought there would be no consequences. They reaped the wind and sowed a whirlwind." Many innocent German civilians were slaughtered. Don't start wars. It won't go well especially if you start a war with Israel. You will lose.

You do realise that in this day and age Arthur "Bomber" Harris would have been indicted for war crimes and crimes against humanity. It was his intentional murder of civilians which was a major factor in the formation of the Fourth Geneva convention.

Nearly all the posts, which I have only just looked at, have a racist tone and are spreading mis-information. Funny, those trigger happy posters who regularly accuse others of anti semitism don't seem to have noticed that blatant racism against people from multiple ME countries. Over sight or hypocricy and racism? 🤔

Yes. The people yelling "antisemitic" do appear to overlap a lot with the people saying " Islam is the problem" or " all Palestinians are terrorists".

And there is a lot of revisionism going on. The right wing now say they have always been pro Jew, never antisemitic etc. But the left always have.

A small group chat I am in has an ozzie member, and they take a photo of an " The Australian" newspaper story now and then, and we go through it, picking out the "errors", and just factchecking it in general. The articles are usually "Aust has always been pro Jew. It's the Muslims that are the problem". Yeah right.

When did this switch happen ?

Just a few years back, any right wing media with comments would be full of "Jewish owned media", or "Jewish bankers control the world". But now it appears that such things never happened. That the right wing have always been "friends" to Jews. Now the comments are " the left hate Jews".

I was reading an Orwell essay recently. From the late 40's. And he was discussing how casual antisemitism was in the UK. Stuff like in the butcher shop. No meat, ah that's because of the Jews.

But now it appears that never happened.
