When you start a war you finish it in my opinion. There has been no other war that has been stopped because of a slide on the Dow Jones or an oil price spike. For Trump to now prematurely call an end to the war simply because of economics will simply mean IIrans drone terrorism has worked.

The people of Iran will be left with a job half done without the space needed for an uprising.

A new leader with good reason to ideological hate Israel and the US will realise the only method of future deterrence of Iran is through acquiring a nuclear weapon as their conventional weapons were obliterated. Iran will now do everything possible to acquire such a weapon.

This is a time for resolve Mr. President. There is still a chance to destroy this regime maybe with limited target ground troop assaults. The world actually will be safer if you continue.

Trump is a disaster.

The most important reason was money, Trump’s main donors paid donated millions for his (and other) Republicans campaigns in the 2016 cycle. These donor's would expect a concrete return for their investment.

Sheldon Adelson and others specifically lobbied to end the JCPOA. Unfortunately it's money that determines actions, not what's in Americans (or the rest of the World's) best interests.

The EU also imposed stricter sanctions in 2019. Iran held up their end of the JCPOA but the other parties didn't and somehow it's Iran's fault.

I saw Jeffrey Sachs speaking at the UN and he pointed out that all but three countries condemned Iran for retaliating after they were bombed (in the middle of negotiations) by Israel and the US. It's like something from the pages of 1984.

Tbf the people in Iran have been in 1984 territory for 47 years. Complete with torture if they don’t comply.

Israel and the US are not bombing Iran because they give a single shiny shit about Iranian people and I don't believe people are that gulliblle.
