Why would would you still have pro Palestinian marches apart from now instilling more fear into the Jewish community

Now we have what looks like a peace to be celebrated why are people still going to march for Palestine? The genocide has stopped in their opinion so shouldn't they be at least joyful or if that is not the case what do they really want? Do they want to keep marching until the Israeli state is no more?

Good news. It's shocking that an NHS doctor would behave like this. Chilling.

Absolutely chilling. And she seems to be point blank refusing to see how wrong her behavior is, blaming everything on the “lobby”.

Ah, the Jews are a threat globally? Straight out of Goebbels playbook.

It's an obsession with the Jewish conspiracy theory. Proper headline anti-Semitism; that there's a Cabal of Jews controlling the press and the economy worldwide. It was popular in the Russian Empire at the end of the 19thC and then was co-opted by the Nazis. Frequently used by Hamas and similar groups.
This person, too.

That’s not really good news about anything

The case is being heard on 23rd October
The previous one was thrown out as a right to freedom of speech
and the GMC said she was not a danger to patients for her online tweet

As long as her views do not affect her work I understand it’s not an issue.

NHS doctor who posted about 7 October Hamas attacks referred to tribunal for second time
Interim hearing had found Dr Rahmeh Aladwan, who has said Israel was ‘humiliated’ by attacks, did not pose risk to patients

A Palestinian doctor who said the 7 October Hamas attacks represented the day Israel was “humiliated” has been re-referred to a medical tribunal.
Dr Rahmeh Aladwan, a trainee trauma and orthopaedic surgeon, was investigated by an interim orders tribunal in September over her social media posts.
On 25 September the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service (MPTS) ruled it would not impose interim restrictions against Aladwan, saying it did not believe the complaints against her were “sufficient to establish that there may be a real risk to patients”.
Her lawyer argued that Aladwan was exercising her freedom of speech to oppose crimes by Israel, including those identified by the UN. He told the regulator she was a Palestinian doctor with an impeccable clinical record and was, herself, a direct victim of genocide and of dispossession.
The General Medical Council (GMC) has now re-referred Aladwan for another interim orders tribunal while it continues its investigation.
The GMC can make such a referral where it believes an interim order may be needed owing to immediate risk to public protection.
Aladwan’s recent posts on X include: “October 7. The day Israel was humiliated. Their supremacy shattered at the hands of the children they forced out of their homes. The children who watched foreign jews execute their loved ones, rape their land and live on their stolen soil.”
Earlier this week the Campaign Against Antisemitism accused Aladwan of waging a “campaign of hatred against British Jews”. It also threatened to launch a legal challenge against last month’s decision not to censure her. It said: “It is inconceivable that a Jewish person would feel safe receiving treatment from this doctor.”
On Wednesday, the health secretary, Wes Streeting, said “sickening comments” had no place in the NHS “and action needs to be taken to root the evil of racism out”. Streeting also said he would overhaul the way medical regulators investigate cases of antisemitism.
The interim orders tribunal hearing will take place on 23 October.

Don't affect her work? She's an antisemite who may treat Jewish patients, how does that not effect her work?

A little while ago a couple of nurses in Australia were suspended after they were filmed saying they would kill Israeli patients. Is that a freedom of speech issue too? Would you be happy being treated with someone who held racist views towards you?

Interesting that you seem to be quoting only one of her X posts.

Grok mentions also the following posts, among others:

  • “I don’t condemn Hamas. I don’t condemn October 7. I don’t condemn armed resistance to occupation. I condemn the existence of ‘Israel’.”
  • “The Royal Free Hospital in London is a Jewish supremacy cesspit."
  • allegedly, she has also described antisemitism and the Holocaust as 'concepts' used by Jewish people to 'promote a narrative of victimhood.'

Would you support that kind of “free speech” directed at any other minority?

As for the tribunal ruling, Wes Streeting seems to think the way medical regulators investigate cases of antisemitism needs an overhaul, so that’s good news.

A doctor with an impeccable clinical record can still be a raging antisemite.

'Can we just call a spade a spade and act now to legislate against these marches?'

Starmer just seems so very incapable of acting. After the Southport 'riots' it was all so very heavy handed with an arrest everyone approach yet this hatred and incitement of violence for Jews on our streets they do fuck all.

That Oxford 'zios' prat should be arrested and sent to jail speedily. Set an example.

And people wonder why he is called “two tier Keir “.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 16/10/2025 17:34

I wasn't aware that Dr. Rahmeh Aladwan had been re-referred, @inamarina, but the continuing hate which led up to it clearly shows how such people go on behaving if they're not stopped

And the tribunal's decision had someone directed this at any other minority would be entirely predictable ...

Twiglets1 · 16/10/2025 17:34

Starmer announces crackdown on anti-Semitism in NHS

Sir Keir Starmer is to tighten measures against anti-Semitism in the NHS.
The move follows outrage after a junior doctor escaped punishment after making “slit your throat” gestures to Jewish protesters and claiming that the Holocaust was “a fabricated victim narrative”.

The Prime Minister said he had ordered a review of anti-Semitism in the health service, saying too many cases were “simply not being dealt with”. He added that Lord Mann, the Government’s independent adviser on anti-Semitism, would lead the review.

During a visit to the Community Security Trust (CST), which provides protection for Jewish communities in the UK, Sir Keir also announced a £10m boost for security at sites including synagogues and Jewish schools.

The funding will pay for more security staff and equipment such as CCTV. The cash injection, available immediately, comes two weeks after the terrorist attack at the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue in Manchester. It takes funding to protect faith communities to record levels.

Statistics released last week showed that religious hate crime was at its highest ever level, with Jewish people more targeted than any other group.

it's time the government took more of a stand against anti-Semitism.

inamarina · 16/10/2025 18:20

What I find strange (or perhaps “alarming” would be a better word), is that Rahmeh Aladwan called the Royal Free Hospital in London, a hospital which apparently serves a large Jewish community, “a Jewish supremacy cesspit”, and yet the tribunal concluded that "a reasonable and fully informed member of the public would not be alarmed or concerned" by such remarks.
So if a member of the public did take offense at her remarks, it would be because they’re unreasonable and not fully informed?
Sounds like gaslighting to me.

Wouldn’t surprise me, sadly.
I’ve seen such comments before.
What I really don’t get, and specially because it’s not just Israelis who are being targeted, but Jews in general (and “just” Israelis would be obviously bad enough) - what do those people who say “maybe they should look at their own behavior” even mean?
I’ve lived in places with larger Jewish populations before, and never encountered any specific behavior that would warrant such levels of hostility.
It’s like a self-perpetuating myth.

It’s not a dismissal. I read the news article that a pp responded to

The article states October 23rd is the date of the hearing

So nothings been decided on her
Hence I don’t know why that would be ‘good news’ which was the comment in the post I responded to.

Where's the ‘good news’ exactly.
