So are MSF wrong about Gaza too?

I have read multiple posts both on here and on the CITME forum- and I am aware how toxic the debate is.

But surely when Legitimate and highly respected international NGO talks of ‘orchestrated killing and dehuminisation”, then it starts to become utterly undeniable?

I am sure someone will be along to tell me otherwise. I also note that Netenyahu has ordered a full occupation of Gaza city today.

“Médecins Sans Frontières calls for immediate closure of Gaza Humanitarian Foundation
The medical NGO Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) has called for the immediate closure of Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), the US- and Israeli-backed aid organisation operating in Gaza, describing GHF-run food distribution sites in Gaza as having become sites of “orchestrated killing and dehumanisation”.
In a social media post on Thursday, MSF wrote:
“In MSF’s nearly 54 years of operations, rarely have we seen such levels of systematic violence against unarmed civilians.”
The GHF-run food distributions in Gaza, Palestine, have become sites of “orchestrated killing and dehumanisation”, not humanitarian aid.
In a new report, MSF analysed medical data, patients’ testimonies and first-hand medical witnesses at two MSF clinics in Gaza and found that it “point[ed] to both targeted and indiscriminate violence by Israeli forces and private American contractors against starved Palestinians” at food distribution sites run by the GHF”

Yes doubt everyone especially the IDF, Israeli government and their propaganda machine. It’s not a one way street- yes Hamas are terrible and a terrorist group. But Israel currently has a far right extremist government using its military machine to destroy a civilian population.

It absolutely works both ways I’m afraid!!

And when I say this I am making a clear distinction to between the Israeli government and the Israeli people in the same way I make a clear distinction between Hamas and the people of Palestine.

I believe that Hamas should be removed but I also believe Netenyahu and his far right extremists should be removed too- for the sake of the Israeli people too.

I also fundamentally disagree with National military service as per the IDF as I think it’s used to militarise a population and that’s exactly what its been used for here.

Yes - I think moderate governments are needed in both Palestine and Israel for this conflict to truly end and the path forward to be constructive. Hamas can’t stick around for obvious reasons and I think the Israeli govt needs to change because it feels impossible to ask for the Palestinians to start a peace process when the same government that have destroyed so many homes and infrastructure and displaced and killed so many people. If an IDF bomb had killed my family and destroyed my home, I’m not sure I’d feel so peaceful even if they removed Hamas.

Yes definitely.

Also needs to be an end to the annexation of the West Bank too. I don’t know if the current Palestinian authority there can govern either- I think it maybe needs a totally new approach to move forward.

But the hostages need freeing and the current horror in Gaza has to stop immediately too. It’s a wasteland and it’s utterly disturbing see in the images that ITV showed yesterday.

Agreed. I cannot imagine what the hostages’ families are going through after the recent updates/decision to escalate. I fear that no more hostages will make it safely back to their families now.

Unfortunately it feels like Netenyahu has chosen his own political survival over the fate of the hostages and I suspect that has been some of his motivation all along.

I saw that the families of one of the hostages spoke out to say that they haven’t been able to contact anyone in government. It’s all so grim.

I imagine there will be huge international outcry today over the occupation plan and also further diplomatic isolation for Israel as a result. And that doesn’t serve the hostages or the people of Gaza in any way.

Internal outcry too @OneKookyShark
“In complete contradiction to the opinion of the military and security ranks, without considering the erosion and exhaustion of the fighting forces, Ben Gvir and Smotrich dragged Netanyahu into a move that will take months, lead to the death of the hostages, the killing of many soldiers, cost tens of billions to the Israeli taxpayer, and lead to a political collapse,” he said, referring to Israel’s extremist finance and internal security ministers.

“This is exactly what Hamas wanted: for Israel to be trapped in the field without a goal, without defining the picture of the day after, in a useless occupation that no one understands where it is leading.”

They should be removed from power. Israel would be better off without them. There is no path to peace otherwise- they are too extreme- like Hamas.

Both nations deserve better.

100% agree.

On a happier note, HEAL.Palestine’s social media feed is filling up with videos of Palestinian families arriving in the states for medical care. It’s heartbreaking but also brilliant that some children are getting the care that they need.

Fingers crossed people don’t try to twist this footage into something negative.

Hopefully a tiny bit of good news in a sea of absolute fucking horror frankly.

I used to naively believe that there was an international rules based system post WW2 but it’s being ripped up before our eyes.

True, but it doesn't mean that children collecting food aid should be shot.

Are you saying that you think MSF are accurate but this meme provides justification for the starvation, the bombing, the destruction and the death of a population ?

I don’t think that you have to agree with everything about someone’s culture to believe that they should have basic human rights.

And somehow that's an excuse for killing the people who live there.

Netanyahu is a war criminal and Israel is a terrorist state. What is happening in Gaza is an atrocity and anybody who denies that is a cunt.

OonaStubbs · 09/08/2025 04:02

Is Palestine a terrorist state too?

I think many of us make the distinction between Israel and their extremist government in the same was we make the distinction between Palestine and Hamas.

I think Israel is becoming an international rogue state because of Netenyahu’s actions though. And I fully support a 2 state solution and believe Palestine also has the right to exist- I don’t support the current occupation at all.

Israeli hostage negotiator has come out and said, Hamas twice offered him the return of all Israeli hostages, and Hamas leaving power, in exchange for Israel pulling back out of the Gaza Strip, freeing the 5000 Palestinian hostages (470 children), and allowing food and medical aid through the siege. In other words, for applying international law. Israel chose to continue to commit genocide and land grab, instead of following international law and getting their hostages home safely.

Quite aside from the shooting people trying to get food and the mass starvation (which was obviously going to be the ultimate result of cutting off food aid), the scale of the devastation from the bombing is extraordinary. The first couple of minutes of this video shows it clearly.
People saying Israel are forced to do this because Hamas are hiding in hospitals etc - really? In every home, hospital, school, old people’s home? Every building was sheltering Hamas fighters? Or did they just want to make Gaza uninhabitable as collective punishment of civilians?
