Are we surprised? I mean this happened multiple times last time. I do wonder if the media will report.

That could have been filmed at anytime, looks like propaganda to me.

The IDF responded and said they shot at a threat. In this case the 'threat' happens to be a small child walking.

Whatsinanamehey · 20/01/2025 23:54

And then the man who tried to rescue the injured body of the little boy.

Bpe · 21/01/2025 00:00

It’s unbelievable but at the same time expected. I don’t think anything could surprise me at this point.

A random Instagram post that won't open is now proof of a broken ceasefire 🤣 good grief

What's so funny?

Palestinians shot by Israeli forces in Gaza - reports
While the ceasefire appears to be largely holding since it began yesterday morning, there are reports from Gaza that four Palestinians citizens have been injured after shots were fired by Israeli forces in Rafah, in the south of the territory.
Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that the IDF opened fire at citizens in the centre and south of the city, causing injuries to four citizens - including children, one of whom it said was seriously injured.
The IDF has not commented on the report.

Auvergne63 · 21/01/2025 08:44

Not surprised, sadly.

The laugh was using a broken random Instagram post at the thread start as evidence. Its pretty obvious what I said and meant. A simple sentence told you what I meant.

Then why did you use that emoji?

NoisyBear · 21/01/2025 10:38

There are serious double standards here. If Hamas were shooting at Israeli children there would rightly be outrage. The news would be full of 'Hamas breaks ceasefire' and the bombing would commence. It's messed up when a sovereign country is held to a lower standard than a terrorist organisation.

I've tagged you on another thread just in case you hadn't realised about Israel's history of shooting Palestinian children - a horrifying account from a well respected journalist all the way back in 2001.
So although it is an Instagram post (maybe not the best source) it is something IDF have been doing for decades and no doubt some Israelis will think if it broke the ceasefire today it would be an added bonus.

It's not broken. It's a video of a man lying on the ground and trying to drag an injured or possibly dead child but having to abandon the attempt and flee while shots are fired.

You knew it was a video of an injured child, even if you couldn't figure out how to play it.

What part of that is 🤣 worthy?

If I cannot see a random Instagram post then how can I know what is it of. You make no sense.

Yet again I laughed at your broken post from a random Instagram page that didn't open as 'evidence '.. 🤔

@Pebblesonthebeach40 It's not a broken link. It's flagged as sensitive content so you have to click on See reel to view it.

This original post doesn't say what is is of, as i said repeatedly It didn't open. It's a random Instagram. That's proof 🙄 I mean opening a thread with that. I'll leave you to it.

Pebblesonthebeach40 · 21/01/2025 11:22

"Something went wrong
There's an issue and the page could not be loaded."

This is what comes up with the first opening post as 'proof'. Strange thread

10 minutes before you posted there are 2 posts clearly saying it's a child that has been shot.

This is hopefully a link to the video via Twitter. It was widely shared yesterday:

I hope you shared this video because of its shocking content and that it was not a deliberate attempt to spread disinformation.

No comments have been issued from Gaza authorities, ceasefire mediators in Egypt, Qatar and the US, or Israeli officials.

So, your statement that Israel has broken the ceasefire is mendacious.

To all the other respondents on this post, you have taken it as a fact that the IDF shot this child without questioning the source or verifying the video.

WhatTheKey and GrannyAchingsShepherdsHut proceeded to berate a reply from Pebblesonthebeach40. They accused her of showing no empathy regarding the death of a child, which was not the case and a misunderstanding of her initial comment.

Can you show some constraints and stop using MN as your social media platform to spread propaganda. It is offensive, inappropriate, and insensitive at this moment in time when so many people on both sides of the conflict have suffered unimaginable pain.

TwilightSkies · 21/01/2025 13:15

IDF could do ANYTHING, shoot ANYONE and the same people will pop up on here and say it’s fake news…. No wonder they’ve got away with a genocide

It's in news outlets that Israel have continued shooting despite the ceasefire.

Perhaps direct your ire at Israel that at this this moment in time when so many people on both sides of the conflict have suffered unimaginable pain they continue shooting at people who thought they were free to start collecting their dead relatives and seeing if they have a home to go back to.
