I understand international reporters are not allowed to report from the ground, but you can’t deny that misinformation is constantly posted on social media and filtered through public discourse.
Documenting events through a digital trace using open-source investigation techniques is very easy. Why? Because it is the correct way to analyse visual evidence forensically, as reported by civilians. But at the same time, this digital data must be fact-checked.
Regurgitating and circulating unverified reports regarding one of the most sensitive conflicts is reckless, especially at this time. Please don't take my word for it. Ask a journalist.
