@Auvergne63 I think your English is really good, and conveys things far better than you give yourself credit for.

Thank you. Much appreciated.

However, the amount of projection and accusation going on here are truly disproportionate responses to what has actually been said.
What are your examples of truly disproportionate responses?

And I once again ask you to RTFT.

Zzippit · 10/09/2024 21:11

And I once again ask you to RTFT.

I have, I don't see any disproportionate responses which is why I'm asking you what you find disproportionate you're the one that has made the claim. Hardly that strange to want evidence of accusations you've made about posters responses, not sure why you need to be so rude with your response to me.

ScrollingLeaves · 10/09/2024 21:31

The Jerusalem Post Twitter/X calls him a Hamas terrorist:

The Israel Air Force struck Hamas terrorists Samer Ismail Khadr Abu Daqqa, Ayman Mabhouh, and Osama Tabesh in a strike in Khan Yunis in the Gaza Strip.

A six month old baby was among those slaughtered in the strike on the humanitarian camp yesterday. I believe the news report I saw said that 5 members of that family were killed. Such savagery. Such waste.

Please feel free to stop quoting me and asking the same question repeatedly if the responses are not to your satisfaction.

Interesting that you view the voices and experiences of Gazan civilians as propaganda when they’re crittical of Hamas.

She was wondering if it was real. I wondered too. ( I don’t know if it is or isn’t but felt suspicious.)

As Hamas terrorists would know they are IDF targets, they might be wary of someone in the tent they want to take over as a command and control centre filming them. Even in the dark their voices could end up on an IDF data base.

But I can believe that Gazan civilians would panic if fighters come among them.

I think I may have had crossed wires. I was referring to a video someone posted of men telling a woman to get out of a tent and her saying they were putting them all in danger, all overlaid with frightening red capital letters - I thought it might really have been fake.

but Zzippit · Today 15:02 may not have been referring to that.

Maybe you shouldn't make charges against other posters if you aren't willing to back them up.

Most of the posters here could do with taking that advice tbh.

It should be possible to have a discussion without demonising other posters and conferring an imaginary (and offensive) moral stance upon them based on a deliberate misinterpretation of their posts.

I'm not asking anyone to back up their charge that a poster criticising Hamas' abhorrent strategy of maximising civilian deaths and injuries is therefore defending the bombing of civilians in humanitarian safe zones because
a) that accusation is completely batshit and intended to provoke so I can choose not to engage with the goad.
and
b) moral judgement and condemnation tend to be the primary objectives of so many of these threads, regardless of what someone actually said, that no-one could be bothered to read properly before making their one-sided assumptions. Sadly, I suspect that won't change.

That's your choice. Doesn't mean others aren't going to reasonably expect some detail when you make sweeping accusatory statements.

It's really not my issue if some posters can't be bothered to read the thread properly and jump to unfounded conclusions.

It is your issue if you're going to make accusations and then refuse to offer further detail. It's pointless. Either say what you mean or don't bother with vague posts making baseless allegations about other people.

And I did clearly say what I mean so that kind of demonstrates my point about not bothering to read posts properly in the rush to make sweeping accusatory statements.

What is clear in the statement below?
However, the amount of projection and accusation going on here are truly disproportionate responses to what has actually been said.

You have accused posters of projection and accusation and disproportionate responses. You haven't actually demonstrated the posts you are referreing to so I will take that to mean you haven't anything specific it is a general feeling and opinion you have about some posts, an opinion that is all, so your post is just hyperbole

I have come to the conclusion that it's best to ignore inflammatory posts. After 11 months it's a known tactic designed to emotionally harm and waste your time arguing back and forth.
Wish them well and try not to engage.
The most important thing is that No, not enough has been done to tackle incitement to Genocide, let's centre the people being actively destroyed right now.
I mean why would a government need to pressure Senators to pressure South Africa to drop their ICJ case?

Hi everyone,
A word of warning, please, if you wish this thread to continue we would suggest backing away from these personal interactions and sticking to the topic at hand.
