If you're referring to my post I said that deciding someone was a Hamas supporter because they have a car is LOL.

Anyway I posted not realising that the thread is an echo chamber and other opinions are not welcome but having been told that I'll retreat again. I just wanted to clear up that misrepresentation. If you were referring to someone else ignore this.

@anotherlevel @EmberLight Reposting for those who might’ve missed it, Bisan is tagged, so it will show up on her tagged page and she also posted it to her stories. Actually, IIRC, this was also posted on her page for a short time but it’s been taken down.

Bisan chose to put her name to and platform rape denial and apologists.
I fail to see how denying Hamas atrocities will help anyone in Gaza apart from Hamas.

I’m surprised that for some posters, a thread titled “Documenting the horror that is Hamas” is not considered a clear enough indication of the likely tone and subject of the discussion. Other opinions are welcome here, defending rape apologists who disparage and disbelieve the horrors endured by the victims of October 7th on their influential SM platforms is not.

The family of one of the victims featured in that report have also disputed some of the claims. These things can be questioned. It doesn't make them Hamas mouthpieces.

If you mean Gal Abdush, I am sure they would rather believe that she was killed instantly (just as Shani Louk's mother desperately wanted to believe she was still alive but the photographs clearly showed she was already dead on the truck). However I wonder why the deniers think she wasn't wearing any knickers and her dress was rucked up showing her genital area?)

I guess some people are so desperate not to see rape deniers and atrocity apologists mischaracterised that they’re willing to overlook anything.

@StarbucksSmarterSister as a parent it must be your worst nightmare. There is 'knowing' and 'knowing' everything. I feel for Hersch's mum and that constant replayed footage of him with his arm missing. That desperation to know he is alive and keep him in the forefront of people's minds but that terrible terrible footage. The same for all the hostage families particularly as the last footage is of them being brutalised in some way by Hamas or by Gazan civilians.

You might think it's funny @EmberLight but no one else does.

For all of those who are hostile towards anyone challenging posts or trying to have a discussion about something, I hope you remember your own words when you try to challenge anyone on the Israeli government thread and take your own advice.

What hostility? What challenges can anyone possibly offer on THIS thread that won't be tantamount to gaslighting?

Me too. There's no grey area here. This is full blown minimising, glossing over and shocking gaslighting. It's everything that David Schwimmer documented.

I think of Hersh quite a lot. Having seen that video of him being kidnapped, to be honest I can't imagine that he survived, certainly not to this stage. He might have survived initially if he got proper medical treatment as soon as he got into Gaza but the risk of Infection while he's been held hostage must be very high.
