opps - meant if when I get a BFP!

Karstan · 10/08/2010 14:06

Wombat - I think implantation is generally 7 to 10 dpo. I know I had some spotting around 5 dpo last cycle and when I looked into it it seemed too early to be implantation bleeding.

Hope you manage to find some answers and a way forward after the results of your genetic tests.

LadyGoneGaga · 10/08/2010 14:26

Wombat Good to hear you seem a bit more positive. Worry always par for the course, comes with the territory I'm afraid. But good to be prepared

Anyway, I think implantation meant to happen about 7-10dpo but can be a little earlier or later. I'm 7dpo today with sore boobs. Looks on my chart like I could have had an implantation dip at 6dpo? But apparently this can just be a secondary oestrogen surge and not mean pg at all. Trying to hold off testing for a while. Maybe do one at the weekend when I'm 11/12dpo? Will keep an eye on temps eagerly!

Wombat33 · 10/08/2010 14:54

Hum, so I'm to early to be thinking that as I don't feel pg I'm def not. Better continue to stay off the booze then :) Shame as a nice glass of wine would be just the ticket this evening.

Ladygone gaga - I'll keep everything crossed that sore boobs is a good sign! Let us know if you test at the weekend!

LadyGoneGaga · 10/08/2010 15:37

I sort of work on the basis that if it hasn't yet implanted it is not taking nutrients (and alcohol) into bloodstream yet. So a glass of wine is prob ok. Obv don't go on a complete bender but I think you deserve one.

Thanks for the finger crosses! Will keep you all posted.

theteasonme · 10/08/2010 16:47

Hi, they didn't offer to do anything about them. She said that because I'd had 9 periods in 12 months Clomid really wouldn't make much difference and that the negatives would outweigh the positives.

I don't present as a typical PCOS sufferer; I'm not overweight or hairy or diabetic etc etc so that's positive. She did say if I gained weight that could make things worse so I'll have to lay off the cake! Google has just freaked me out completely & I feel like this may never happen for us. I know I just need to keep up the SWI but at the moment it all feels utterly pointless. Everyone, literally everyone, is pregnant around me and it's killing me that my LO is the only one without a sibling a friend just said to me, "well you've got DS" as if that solved everything. She started trying at the same time as me and is 18 weeks pg. I felt like screaming at her which is really not like me.

Ah, sorry for the me me me post. Got no one to be this honest with in RL. xx

OverThePond · 10/08/2010 17:18

Hi all, sorry to be off for a few days. It seems lots has happened while I ducked out. Congrats to some and fingers crossed to others.

I'm in a bit of a head game and could use some advice as I'm surrounded by family who doesn't know we're TTC. I'm 5 days beyond what should have been AF's arrival, no signs of her, but continue to get negatives on tests. I got a BFN 1 and 3 days after missed period. So decided to take my aunt to visit the new great-grandnephew thinking AF would make her appearance and settle the question. She's not shown up, I don't feel pregnant and I would like to sneak out and get a test, but can't really as I've a 100 year old in tow. Am I or aren't I? Where should settle my head until I get home in two days and can test again? When should I call my dr.? I've not missed a period or been more than 1 day late in 20 years, but have been on the pill for 7 years except the last 4 months.

Needless to say: [crazy face pulling hair out].

lemonsherbet · 10/08/2010 17:41

Hi everyone.

Firstly congratulations to all the BFP.
Wombat I do not know what to say. I hope everything works out for you.

I am now off the bus. Did not have any signs of being pregnant and AF decided to make an early appearance. Good luck to all of you. Hope not to see you on the May bus (meant nicely...hoping you all have BFP)

bzzbee · 10/08/2010 20:24

Am beginning to feel like it might not ever happen...think this is more like cycle 6 for us. And dd1 was a complete accident!
So would be good to hear from Zidonie who just got the wonderful news on cycle 10 - did you do anything different this cycle?

sillybillymummy · 10/08/2010 22:19

Stay positive everyone (sorry alot on here to write back to, but just got in and knackered)
overthepond sounds to me like you're pregnant. Try and wait the 2 days until you get home, then test. Fingers crossed for you

Bicnod · 11/08/2010 07:47

Morning ladies - I'm in 2ww hell and had some pink pant snot (nice) on Monday so thought it was all over. Still no ERTD but POAS this morning and BFN :( ERTD not really due til tomorrow so still clutching at straws that might get a BFP but think tis unlikely.

theteasonme · 11/08/2010 09:04

If pink pant snot was only monday I'd hang on till friday to retest (if AF is a no-show) fingers crossed for you bicnod xx

Cazzr · 11/08/2010 09:16

bzzbee: we are techincally on cycle 8 through mumsnet but I'd say we've been trying for a year now. Really hopeful for this month and trying to remain sane and not symptom spot fail!

Anyone testing tmoro? I make it 11dpo (major OV pains and ov sticks), BBT chart makes it 10dpo and I have cheapie tests burning a hole in the bathroom drawer!
I have a funny feeling in my tummy area and very occasional gentle waves of nausea so as normal convinced I'm preggers! TBH I think I need a BFN (for testing too early) to bring me back down to earth, but of course hoping for a BFP! :)

sillybillymummy · 11/08/2010 09:27

I am VERY proud of myself for not testing today.. a question: Last cycle, AF came on CD30 - does that mean my cycle length is 29 days or 30 days (apologies, think this had been asked before. (just did that 'due date predictor, an obviously it comes out different depending on cycle length!)
Sorry i think this has been brought up before.

Sorry for me post.. i have DS on at me to draw houses/ tractors

sillybillymummy, i take that as being UCL 29, but I had heard you count the 1st day of next period too... Doesn't make sense to me tho, as that is surely the start of the next one..

Karstan · 11/08/2010 09:39

Kind of looks like we're going to have a mass exodus from the bus any day now, fingers crossed people aren't just getting off to wait for the next bus.

As for me, no symptoms apart from weird boobies, they're not sore as such, don't hurt on prodding, just sort of throbbing from time to time, it's strange. Been happening for a few days but feels like I'm tempting fate by mentioning it. But nothing else at all, if anything I feel better than usual.

caramellokoalalover · 11/08/2010 09:43

Errrrr.....BFP here this morning. Am in shock. I felt a bit dizzy yesterday so thought I'd test today, 13dpo.

I'm terrified of having another mc after the last one in June. Almost thinking I shouldn't let myself believe it, just in case. Is that mental Hmm?

Will be back soon to catch up on posts, seems that a lot of people have been having a rough time, sorry.

Karstan · 11/08/2010 10:02

Woo hoo, congrats Caramel, hope this is the start of the rush of bfp's

Congrats Caramel!!! Whoo, hoo! Do you have any other DC's or is this your first?

Think Lemonsherbert got off the bus. Temps dropped a bit this morning but still above line so less hopeful today. Sore boobs though and some cramps. Did a test audit last night to see what sensitivities I have "in stock". Got some 10mcg ones - danger! Been googling earliest BFP dates. Am 8 dpo today. Going to hold on til the weekend to POAS.

Wombat33 · 11/08/2010 10:43

Congratualtions Caramel! You're not mental - I think that reaction is totally understandable after MC. Here's hoping this is a lovely sticky bean for you and wishing you an uneventful 9 months.

Wombat33 · 11/08/2010 10:44

PS Karsten - I'll still be on the bus with you don't worry. Have some choclate to get your Weds morning off to a good start! ^^

Tamashii · 11/08/2010 14:01

Another congrats Caramel am still keeping an eye on the BFP's here from the back of the May bus! Good luck with it all and hope this time is plain sailing all the way :)

ljg72 · 11/08/2010 15:40

Oooh lovely Caramel that's FAB news!totally understand you being worried, but enjoy! it's wonderful news Smile.

Karstan I'm sat behind you! so think I'm going to be here till the very end, we should be testing around the same time! Yikes, fingers crossed for all those testing over the next few days Grin.

sillybillymummy · 11/08/2010 16:36

Caramel That is great news - just try and enjoy it, and not worry.

AF just rocked up - so i guess i have to get off.. will be checking how you are all doing though - best of luck.

Not sure i can face the next bus yet, as i didn't do it for my 1st 2DC and got pregnant straight away, wondering if i am thinking about it all too much?
