Hi,
I posted a really long post yesterday, but it vanished!
I went home yesterday at lunchtime - I'm going to do mornings this week so I can avoid the socialising at lunchtime, and I get really tired by then as well. My bosses are being fab.

I am now looking at an age gap of 5 years. I thought I had been very clever, timing my 2nd baby to arrive so I would be on maternity leave when DD1 started school, so I could do the whole school run thing, and get her through the initial part-time phase without any fuss. I was really looking forward to it. I think losing the imagined lifestyle has hurt almost as much as not being pg.

On a brighter note, I got a very positive OPK last night! Hurrah! DH was very excited and is always happy to perform when he gets a chance required He's actually very sweet at inquiring about my charts and OPKs, but not mucus. That's a step too far for any man, I think.

VivClicquot · 05/05/2010 12:12

Morning all,

Thanks for all your words of encouragement. Still feeling v peed off about everything - especially as I went to bed with and woke up with really bad nausea. Proof, if proof were needed, that my body is mental.

On the other hand, I'm thinking it's cycle day 4, I've got some more acupuncture on Friday and before I know it, it will be the end of next week and time to try again.

xxx

clareanna · 05/05/2010 13:22

Afternoon all- had to get the bloody early train to London this morning which involved being up at 4.30am so am currently wondering if it's supper time yet ?!

littlemiss have a lovely hol- invest in a spray tan and a big smile- you'll look fab!!! Also ban cameras unless fully dressed- works for me

viv it comes round quick for you, so at least that is one plus

bunder sounds like a good way back to work- glad they are being understanding

dorcas111 · 05/05/2010 14:16

Oh viv I'm so sorry. There's no words that make it better, but take care of yourself love. I'm glad that, this aside, you had a nice holiday. Holidays are great, wish I was still away. I think even my dog has the post-holiday blues. He's moping around the house forlornly, wishing he was running around the beach instead...

Cheepz · 05/05/2010 14:16

gday gday. viv my symptoms said you were pg too - sorry about that love, your time will come, am sure once I start TTC again and am 4 cycles in I will be thinking why the fuck did i take 3 months off before starting to try again - but I feel good for it mentally.

Am waiting to get letter confirming job offer then can resign!!!! am on edge of seat. About to go into a meeting about who will sit near who in the new building. exciting stuff - jeez its like being at school.

hope all ok

fingers crosse littlemiss

Welcome PPP (sorry to abrev you aready!) you have come to the right place, we are all here for the ups and downs. Good luck tomorrow, have been there and I felt so much better after it was over x

Hello Viv Clare Dorcas Cheepz and lindalinda

OP posts:
dorcas111 · 05/05/2010 16:37

Sorry for what you are going through paulinepp it sounds like it has been a horrible month for you. Hope it all goes okay and you have plenty of support in RL too. Everyone on here is lovely and has got me though these last few weeks.

Right, have gone and bought lots of fruit, nuts and seeds in an attempt to get healthy after a month of eating lots of chocolate, crisps and cheese. In the spirit of looking after myself I have also booked myself in for a massage tomorrow. But now I'm stressing about if that is a wise thing to do when I'm TTC? What if they press something and it interferes with things? I seem to remember someone else posting about this recently but I can't remember what was said or find it. I know, I'm being neurotic, but someone give me a slap. I almost talked myself out of my overdue smear test next week but common sense has prevailed (Only just...). Someone save me from my madness.

LadyBee · 05/05/2010 16:39

Hi PPP have you had an ERPC before? Did they tell you much about what would happen tomorrow? I had one very recently and would be happy to tell you about my experience if you think that would be helpful. Am on phone and DS about to wake but will post again after 8. Sorry about the losses you've experienced, you'll find lots of support and understanding here as you go through this experience - you're not alone.

hairytriangle · 05/05/2010 17:28

Oh my GOD!

Surgery just rang, doctors are all away on a seminar, but practice nurse says there is a note on file to say blood tests show 'pregnancy is progressing'!!!!!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I'm seeing this as good news, I can speak to a doc tomorrow at 10am, so I will update you all, she didn't say whether it's progressing 'normally'.

It's a MIRACLE!!!!!

Hairy?????????? W T F ???????????? That is great news!

OP posts:
hairytriangle · 05/05/2010 18:33

Dorcas AFAIK you can have gentle massage, but there are some aromatherapy oils you need to avoid particularly Clary Sage.

Always go to a trained massage therapist who understands and has been trained in use of oils - some general shop bought ones (pre mixed)may contain oils which could be harmful.

And make sure you let the therapist know you are TTC!

hairytriangle · 05/05/2010 18:36

Magic8ballshastheanswers (great name!) I know, WTFFFFFF!!!???!!!* Just hope it is progressing as it's supposed to, nurse couldn't read the results, has to be a GP, but tomorrow I'll know if the hormone is high enough for it to be viable.

If it's there it's already a fighter!!!!

WestYorkshireGirl · 05/05/2010 18:44

hairy this is great news - does this mean you didn't mc or you are pg again (sorry bit confused!)

clareanna · 05/05/2010 19:01

hairy great news!!!! the suspense to find out more must be killer!!!! I had 2 big bleeds with my DS at 6 and 9 weeks - it can be ok xx

paulinePP sorry you've found yourself here - it sounds like you've had a tough 6 months. ERPC is v quick and the recovery is OK - we'll be here to help you through it

PaulinePetrovaPosy · 05/05/2010 20:25

Hairy great news!

Ladybee no not had one before but have had the medical one and did not like it one bit so trying to brave it and get it over and done with...

in October i mc naturally which was actually fine - at home with dp very little bleeding but no such luck this time

thanks for all making me feel welcome

hairytriangle · 05/05/2010 20:41

Westyorkshiregirl Apparently I haven't mis-carried! Everything is crossed for when I speak to the GP tomorrow.

Thanks to all of you for your support and care over the last few days!

Will update you tomorrow!!!
Claireanna when you say 'big bleeds' do you mean like full on , period like, heavy etc? Because that's what I had.

clareanna · 05/05/2010 20:48

Hairy bright red bleed, enough for a pad but stopped quite quickly then brown spotting both times.
Apparently I have a friable cervix.. had breakthrough bleeding when I was on the pill too, hormones affect cervix and make it engorged and prone to bleeding, was the same when I was pg.
With last pg, had a tiny bit of brown spotting on xmas day (was 10 weeks), but because of previous history didn't think anything of it. Sadly this was probably the sign that baby hadn't made it, but didn't discover that until the 12wk scan.
hope all ok for you tomorrow x

BUnderTheBonnet · 05/05/2010 21:25

Wow hairy! That's amazing!!!!

Good luck tomorrow PaulinePetrovaPosy. I think your name is great - I love that book.

OPK is still postive, so not ovualted just yet. SWI is definitely going to happen - I've already told fertilityfriend so no backing out now.

tigger15 · 05/05/2010 21:37

Good luck PPP. Don't expect to spring back instantly. It's physically not great and emotionally it tends to dredge it all back up again.

Take lots of Noel Streatfield to read ... I love her too.

PaulinePetrovaPosy · 05/05/2010 21:40

tbh dreading the humiliating thought of stirrups....
