Nice clean thread for us - may there be many a BFP on here

Well done 8's

Whhhhhhhhhoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
< Slides across the floor on knees >

Oooo, it's nice in here, bagsy beanbag by the bar window.

I'll have to run now as SIL as just arrived from that London and I'm being rude.

Catch up soon xxx

Cheepz · 30/04/2010 12:00

wooo hoooo

8 if Viv comes back from the US in the club then that means the 'starting new thread' magic continues and it will be your turn next

can't believe we are on thread number 5!!

digitalgirl · 30/04/2010 13:40

nice one magic8 LAF fingers crossed

pv have 'fun' entertaining the outlaws.

cheepz I think you have one of the healthiest attitudes on here.
We've been having unprotected sex the last few days, even though I must still be upset by the mc (judging by yesterday's reaction) - I only stopped spotting from it a week ago. I hesitate to call it ttc as I'm clearly not ovulating. But I think all the BFPs on here got me feeling hopeful again.

Can anyone explain why might I be feeling crampy? The scan showed my uterus as completely clear and normal. I'm not ovulating as I'm really quite dry. I only stopped bleeding last week so can't be due my period yet. I'm definitely not pregnant as we only started having sex a couple of days ago. So why the pre-menstrual type cramps. They're not painful.

hairytriangle · 30/04/2010 20:03

Hi, just had my first early MC - first pregnancy, had found out the night before, VERY early MC.

I'm forty two, and have been TTC a couple of months, so I am actually seeing this in a positive light - my body CAN conceive, and I'm going on a health kick ready for another time.

sad of course, but I had only had 12 hours of knowing, and I was convinced it couldn't happen at my age.

Docs have been fab, another blood test booked for tues to make sure it all settles down.

x

Moofold · 30/04/2010 20:55

Wow, look at this lovely new thread. Good on ye 8s and if Viv does come home pregnant I'll be starting another new thread instantly!!

Cheepz just do what you feel is right in your heart pal. You'll know yourself whether its the right time or not - I say go with your instinct.

Enjoy the in laws MrsPrettyG, hope you're not having to face them with a hangover. Maybe another wee drink is in order.

Digi I think I had cramps for about 2 or 3 weeks before I finally ovulated in my monty second cycle. You'll drive yourself nuts at times try to interpret the signs and what's going on. I think at times there is no sense in what you're feeling, i guess things take a while to settle back down.

Hello hairy - lolling at your name! Good to see you're coming to terms about what has happened and feeling positive about the future. Good on you.

Shall I stick a list on so we can see what's what? Can't believe Cheepz hasn't tended to that yet!

Have just accepted offer of new job, yay, and we are going to be moving mid July, so new job and new house and getting DS settled into new childcare needs to be the priority for the next 1 - 2 months. I think it will do me good to wait abit longer and I definitely don't want to go to new job pregnant so have updated list to reflect self imposed TTC amnesty. Feels right

Welcome hairy big chortle but sorry for your loss - although like you had mc in Jan when was wondering whether I was going to be able to get pg again and it was a relief to know I could get pg.

not me I'm afraid. I'm on cd8 of yet another cycle (last one finished at 21 days) - felt like I was going to bleed to death eek.

So can someone put me on the chart as cd8 (or 9 tomorrow!?).

am not feeling very positive all in all - have no idea whether I'm ovulating, when I will get RTD or anything.

Cheepz, gosh, that is quite quick

LucyT66 · 30/04/2010 22:52

Good evening lovely ladies,

hairy - sorry you find yourself here but they really are a top bunch.

cheepz - big congrats on the job and house. It's a tough decision but i think giving the body time to heal, and taking the pressure off, can be a wise choice.

pollyanna - hope you feel a bit better soon.

Pretty - have fun with the inlaws.

Magic8 - thanks for starting new thread.

Sorry anyone I've missed. But waves to all.

Okay. Well. I could wait no longer. Tested this afternoon and still can't believe it was a BFFP. Honestly didn't think this could be my month cause of lack of EWCM. (WYG - I'd always thought this was a key sign of ovulation and a good egg and cause i had zilch this time, i thought not a chance.) So very happy, obviously, but also very very very scared of another mc.

I hope the wicked witch leaves everyone on this thread alone for a while - nine months please. Please. Please.

Fingers crossed for viv and LAF.

Lots of love and baby dust to all on this rollercoaster of a thread.

xxxx

aly323 · 01/05/2010 02:23

LucyT66 Congratulations!! That's excellent news! Love to hear about BFP's without EWCM since I can't seem to get EWCM to save my life. Good job!

Congrats also to Cheepz! A move, a new job and a new house. So exciting! It sounds like you'll have plenty to keep you busy.

No answers as to the crampiness Digital. Maybe you're having a drier ovulation this cycle? I hate cramps and am a total wimp where they're concerned. Hope you feel better soon!

Sorry to see you here HairyT. It's excellent that you can conceive and hopefully it'll happen again VERY soon.

I spoke to my "special" ob (I have a regular ob and one that specializes in diabetes)regarding when I can start trying again. I decided to be honest and let her know that I don't plan to wait. Boy, did I get an earful. We've now "agreed" that we'll work together to get my blood levels where they need to be as quickly as possible and I'll start ttc when they're controlled. It sucks. I really don't want to wait. It's going to be so hard. However, I really, really don't want to go through another mc or worry about birth defects through my whole pregnancy or worse. Fingers crossed that I get all sorted asap. I want my baby.

I'm so glad it's Friday. I'm so over work.

hairytriangle · 01/05/2010 07:40

PS: hairytriangle comes from the fact that I have a light (thank god!) hairy triangular shape on my back LOL LOL but thought the implication was funny!

hairytriangle · 01/05/2010 07:40

and thank you all for your good wishes. I feel ok this morning, less pain, less bleeding so onwards and upwards (as it were!).

clareanna · 01/05/2010 08:37

lucyt bfp!!! Many congrats- take it easy and try to relax (?!)

cheepz well done on the job. Pull know when the time is right and your babyee will arrive - life karma and all that. Big sqeezes to you

digi I had lots of weird cramping- think it was just was just things getting back in order... If you're cramping and have a temp then go to the doc. I think after an mc you feel our body has let you down in a way, and it takes a while for you to rebuild trust in it. I felt exactly like you did and it gas taken 3 months for me to trust and like my body again. From a ttc point of view and also to like it enough to want to eat better and hit the gym. Speaking which I'm in AGONY- how can exercise cause this much pain? Can hardly walk!!!!

hairy so sorry you've found yourself here, glad you are feeling positive, take care

polly sorry you are feeling down- have you considered trying a cbfm? They are expensive, but mine has reassured me that I am ovulating now which has been a big weight off my mind x

hi rtd got me- but no surprise as wasn't ttc last month will update list

clareanna · 01/05/2010 08:43

Argh just tried to do list on phone- it has defeated me! No craptop as am by the seaside this bhw.
Please could someone update my stats?

clareanna TTC#2 UCL35 cycle 3 CD3

Redheadgal · 01/05/2010 09:58

Already a bfp and the thread only just started! Congratulations Lucyt. I'm cheered by the long list of graduates.

Cheepz - great news on the job. Well done you and a brave decision not to ttc. There's a lot to be said for taking control. That's the thing that gets to me about this whole business is not having control over my body, that everything is in the lap of the gods.

Hiya Hairy Polly - I feel just the same. God knows what's going on. I've got no idea if I'm ovulating or when RTD will come. Not feeling terribly patient either.

Happy Bank Holiday all. x

hairytriangle · 01/05/2010 11:01

Congratulations Lucyt -

Readheadgal hi! - before I'd had my hormone tests (i've had the first lot of tests they give you- day 4 and day 21) i couldn't get a positive on an ovulation test - but my body was showing really clear signs of ovulation - and the tests showed that I do ovulate reguarly and healthily. It's such a narrow window for the pee sticks it's very frustrating!

I've learend to listen to my body - I get very clear signs of ovulation. Weirdly I think I've ovulated as far apart as day 8 and day 21 - and I think twice in one month on one occasion

Moofold · 01/05/2010 12:16

LucyT - that's fab news!! Really cheers me to see a BFP already. This is going to be a good list lassies!

Updated stats with Clare - i knew RTD had got you but wasn't sure how far behind me you were this cycle. Hope your seaside break is good - shitey weather up here as usual.

Curly something was the matter with your stats, saying CD8. I've changed to CD29 but you're behind Viv who's on CD26 so maybe have a wee look and sort yourself out. I haven't moved you on LucyT until you give us the nod. Cheepz will be proud of my list maintenance!

Morning all, raging hangover here that's it, I'm on the wagon as I clearly can't handle my drink!!

Contrags Lucy wonderful news! May you have a very uneventful 8 months ahead of you.

Welcome to hairy sorry you find yourself here hunni, we are a lovely supportive bunch and sadly all share similar mc stories. x

I'm on day 23 already! Don't feel pregnant this month and to be honest with the possibility of a new job looming much like cheepz I'm happy to sit it out for now. Congrats to you to cheepz way to go woman!

Sent DP off to sort out his flat..still not packed up properly, not sure he ever will. I'm starting to think he thinks it will pack itself up if he waits long enough!! I have boxes of junk everywhere here..the weekend will mostly consist of de-cluttering.

Have a wonderful weekend girls x x x

Congratulations Lucy!

Yes, I thought about buying a cbfm - can you start in the middle of your cycle on them?

(I do have an old persona kit too - are cbfm the same as these? I could just buy some batteries and sticks for the persona which would be more sensible maybe?).

Hello ladies. Was attending the launch of the exhibition yesterday so back really late. Am pleased that it's all ready and hopefully the public will flock in today. I see there's been lots going on!

Congrats to Lucy! Great to see a BFP so early on in the new thread. I have just counted there have been 10 BFPs since I actively joined the thread which is great.

Magic8 Hope your bacon buttie has restored you! I'm pleased to see that other people don't cut out alcohol when TTC. I'm always in a bit of a dilemma about it - I don't drink much at all - maybe a bottle over a weekend of rose, but I am now of the opinion that TTC can take a while and you shouldn't put your life on hold. Am I wrong?

Littlemiss Good luck with the de-cluttering (esp when hungover)!

HairyT Welcome to our thread and sorry about your MC.

Aly Sorry to hear about having to wait - have they given you an idea of how long?

Poly Hope you are feeling a bit better about things today? I sympathise with the frustration of not knowing when things are going to happen. I think that's one of the worse things about MC - losing control and we modern women are not familiar with that.

Cheepz Great news on the job.

Well, other than having my hair cut and nicely 'tonged' (oo-er) I have done nothing today and am being very lazy considering there's so many jobs to do. Am enjoying lots of SWI - DH even wanted some on his night off so who am I to refuse (wanton hussey that I have become)

Hope you are all enjoying the B Hol.

moof gold star on the list

lucy thrilled

have woken up knowing its the right decision for me and feel quite happy at the prospect of another cycle not fretting about it. I used to wonder how anyone who wanted a baby could handle taking a cycle out by choice, but I can really relate.

hope all have lovely weekends - I have neice to visit so DS is loving the attention and it is making me realise a sibling is not essential with friends and cousins to come and stay. all helps.
