Nice clean thread for us - may there be many a BFP on here

OP posts:
AlbaDeTamble · 02/06/2010 09:04

Just popping in with quiet congrats for Clareanna, hope to see you over on the other thread soon!
Had been rooting for you Viv, so sorry it's not your month, or is there still a chance?
And Littlemiss, crossing fingers for you now!

Sorry to hear about need for methotrexate hairy, but hoping it does its job and gets you back on that TTC list in 3 months. Great to see you back there Muser, seems like it was quite quick though I'm sure felt like forever. Remember well that awful urgent need to be pg again. I try to remind myself every time I throw up...

Waves to Urd, magic, MrsPrettyG, Jolls, Cheepz and everyone else... WYG hope you're doing ok... Symptoms do come in waves, just to scare us when they go...

And hello to newbies, this thread is the most wonderful support you could hope to find xxx

Freezingmyarseoff · 02/06/2010 09:04

yay yay yay, clare
Way to go for lots of BFPs for June

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 02/06/2010 09:05

Yay Clare that's great!

BUnderTheBonnet - Do I sense some recognition of the second part of my name on your behalf? ;) (~I'm a closet nerd~)

I am really trying to keep my backside in line with the healthy eating and stuff, but it's so hard I enjoy pasties and cake too much .

I'm on 5DPO now, let the mad SS begin.

AlbaDeTamble · 02/06/2010 09:06

And barrenbrook, how could I forget you. Sorry it's been such an awful time for you. Life can be so cruel

TAcrazy · 02/06/2010 09:36

I know there have been some awful times for some people on this thread, but also some positive ones

May the coming months be fully of many more BFPs. I have my fingers crossed for everyone (and me!).

xx

emptyshell · 02/06/2010 10:23

Got up, logged onto FB.... barrage of scan photos. Set me right off again.

Blazing row with hubby last night because he thinks the doc is ok to offer zero support for the infertility and string me along month after month with a weight loss pep talk - he reckoned if I was cracking as badly as I am that we should give up trying - I nearly hit him.

Been married less than three months and we're on the rocks over this damned infertility/miscarriage crap.

sarahmia · 02/06/2010 11:19

yaaaay for clareanna
still too scared to POAS. but 2 days late now and no sign of AF

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 02/06/2010 13:00

sarahmia, go on then, you know you want to! :D (good luck, FX!)

I'm sorry, empty. ~hugs~

batteryhen · 02/06/2010 13:30

Hello everyone (waves)

Sorry not to name check - am at work.

Just a quick question, I had my first AF on 22 Ma (very light and only 2 weeks after I stopped bleeding from MC) and now am testing with my OPK this week. I am getting nothing at all. Do they always work for everyone or am I being paranoid that I will never conceive again??

It says not to pee for 4 hours before doing the test but I can't hold on that long

Thanks in advance to any advice ! xx

hairytriangle · 02/06/2010 13:54

Aw thanks for your invites to stick around and your good wishes. and for adding me yes I'm ttc #1 as of September 2nd 2010!!!

Hospital wasn't too bad, they are really nice there. Two injections in the bum nad lots of lolin'g about it - OH nearly fainted though poor love, he was holding my hand!

No sex apparently til HCG comes down (nothing new there then as I've bled for so long! ) and no flipping alcohol :0

Have a blood test sat morning and one on Tues morning, by which time it should all have gotten a bit more back to normal prays begs hopes wails

Love to all of you!

xx

digitalgirl · 02/06/2010 15:02

hooray for clare thats great news!

littemiss test test test!

empty oh honey, do you think perhaps counselling might help? TTC can be such a huge strain on relationships. I know I've thrown some massive wobblers at DH during our ttc months. But you sounded so positive yesterday armed with your thermometer and TCYOF...perhaps a couple of months charting and you really won't need your GP.

and headstrokes to moof with your car troubles. ladybee's idea of a carclub sounds v interesting.

So 9dpo and nothing to report. This 2ww was more interesting when I had cramps.

Have got dinner with 3 couples who are all preggo with their 2nd this Saturday. They all know about the two MC so hopefully their husbands won't be stupid senough to nudge DH and ask him when he's going to get on with it. Actually I should be looking forward to it, it's so rare that we get a night out with friends.

emptyshell · 02/06/2010 15:06

The positivity's an ever thinning veneer - has been for many months, even before the mc. I can't face another three years to get pregnant again - just cannot emotionally and physically do it.

LadyBee could you add me to TTC please?

hairytriangle · 02/06/2010 17:29

Clareanna WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP!

CONGRATULATIONS I'm so chuffed for you

Goodluckbear · 02/06/2010 17:34

Just popping in to say congrats to clareanna!! Really, really pleased for you!!

Hope lots more BFPs to come.

Hi to everyone else, and hugs as well, especially emptyshell ((((( )))))

BUnderTheBonnet · 02/06/2010 18:53

Congrats Clareanna! Woot woot!

emptyshell Stick with the charting and TCOYF - maybe you'll feel more positive when you feel like you really are "taking charge"...

I booked a holiday today to coincide with what should have been my due date. So - in October I shall be in Egypt, and not in the depths of despair. And hopefully pregnant, of course.

Moofold · 02/06/2010 19:58

Aww, clare that really is good news pal - I'm really chuffed for you. See, I was right to egg you on to POAS!! Did you have any symptoms cept the crampy feeling? Littlemiss no need to ask what I would do in yoour shoes.

GLB - how you keeping mate? Hi Alba! LadyB crossed last night - so i'm not the only one with car troubles. Ours is being towed away as we speak getting a 2nd opinion. More trouble than they're worth.

BU - holiday sounds fab, somewhere I've always fancied going. My due date is only 4 weeks away now which is totally depressing. I was utterly convinced that I would be pregnant by now. A fellow commuter that I speak to on the train asked this morning if we will have anymore kids and I nearly wept. I have been feeling ok about things again recently, its funny how it catches youu when you least expect it.

Battery - do you chart and take temps etc? That's what I did before CBFM. After my WTF cycle I my first cycle was 10 weeks long and I didn't OV until day 65 or something equally ridiculous. Not that I'm saying it will take you that long but it will happen. Both Clare and I took Agnus Castus which seems to get your cycle into order again. Hang on in there x

Hello to all the other lassies about

clareanna · 02/06/2010 21:21

Hi all thanks so much for all the congrats- still not quite believing it yet as rtd not due till tomorrow, so not offically late yet. Did another test this am with flu and still + so that's good.
Big waves to the grads too- thanks so much for popping on- fx i may be joining you soon.
Am going to try to ignore it for a couple of weeks, and can't even think beyond that- don't want to get my hopes up.
moo really hope this next cycle is your cycle too- hang on in there with the cbfm! Have been tracking symptoms this cycle following ov (which according to cbfm was late which is why I'm not going to feel slightly confident until i'm a week late). Felt a bit queasy, very irritable, then over the weekend quite tired and had to have a nap. Now I've got the weird pains like womb is aching- like a constant cramp. And boobs feel a bit tingly. Have been thirsty and also a bit burpy (nice) today.
empty sorry you're having a tough time with dh- it is really stressful and I don't think men always complerey understand (or know the right thing to say). Keep on ranting to us, I find this thread has been a complete
lifeline hope it can be for you too.

viv little any news?

hairy glad it went well today- hopefully there is an end in sight for you now- take care. Lol at your dh nearly fainting!

battery I tried op sticks but didn't get on well with them because I have a long cycle and was peeing on loads. If you do them first thing in the morning then you don't have to wait to wee(!) Cbfm has been great but is expensive. As moo said I also took agnus castus for a couple of cycles.

bessie26 · 02/06/2010 21:29

blimey, it's busy on here!

huge congrats to Clare and hi to everyone else!

emptyshell my NCT group are all at it too - 5 days into my m/c I got an email to tell me of the latest pg - with my due date! DH couldn't understand why that was so awful...

LadyBee the app I sometimes use is called wCalendar - it does a reasonable graph & does a very basic prediction of when you could expect O & AF (based on previous cycles I think) and also has a space to record CM.

batteryhen I was doing OPKs the month I got pg with DD - and never once got a +ive! (mine said to POAS first thing in the morning, which made the 4hr thing easier to do!)

a quick(?) question.
I had m/c @ 8 weeks, 2 weeks ago. I bled for a week, then just occasional spotting since. I'm off for a scan tomorrow morning to check everything's gone. I'm really really hoping everything's sorted itself out, but what happens if it hasn't?
I assume they'll offer me some kind of drugs (is this the methowotnot stuff some of you have mentioned?) or surgery (I really don't want D&C unless absolutely necessary) or could they just say to "wait & see" for another week?
My main concern is that I'm supposed to be driving to France on saturday to spend the week eating stinky cheese and drinking bucketloads of wine & really don't want anything to get in the way of that!

batteryhen · 02/06/2010 21:50

Hello

bessie, with my experience - i did have retained products for a while - but they wouldn't give me surgery - preferring to let me get on with it in my own time. The fact that you have stopped bleeding is a good signxx Thanks for the advice re the POAS. I will do an early morning pee as I can only manage to hold for about and hour and half!

clareand moo, I am not temping yet as I will become entirely obsessed and am still trying to fool myself into playing it cool!

littlemiss - test!!!

empty - sending you much hugs, things have to turn on the up for you soon xx

hairylurker glad your experience wasn't too hideous - at least now you too are on the upward turnxx

big waves to everyone else,

Am off to Cyprus tomorrow for a hen weekend - I intend to make the most of it as I hope to be PG very soon.

Will check in next week. i hope to see a few more BFP by then too ! xxx

hairytriangle · 02/06/2010 22:15

Big hug for Empty Battery and Clareanna thank you - I now have the fear it won't work and they might want to give me another dose, which would mean 6 month waig grrrr. i think i'd say no thank you and find a private gynocologist (sp?) I can't possibly wait six months, i'd be knocking on the door of 43!

hairytriangle · 02/06/2010 22:17

Bessie so sorry for your loss.

I think it will depend on your circumstances. In my case they could see nothing on the scan, but I had very slow rising HCG hormone, which meant they knew something was there, so they gave me Methorexate as it was a 'pregnancy of unknown location'.

If they see nothing, they may offer you methowotsit,if they see something they may offer suction or d&c

Fingers firmly crossed that everything has come away and you don't need any intervention.

good luck!
x

clareanna · 02/06/2010 22:44

hairy try to stay positive and deal with one day at a time- it sounds like you're starting to worry about stuff that hasn't and probably won't happen and that can take up a lot of emotional reserves - please try to stay positive and focus on what is happening rather than what might. I know that sounds easy for me to say but it's advice I'm trying to follow after attending a positive psychology coaching session that really resonated with me. Hope you don't mind me giving you a stern talking to- just don't want to see you worrying too much more x

battery the cbfm doesn't do temps, it is a machine that monitors and reads ov sticks to work out your cycle for you. It basically then tells you high and peak days to maximise your chances. I couldn't manage temping - can never get out of bed at the same time!!

Muser · 02/06/2010 22:50

It will work hairy stay positive. Don't be surprised though if your results on Sat are higher, it does that sometimes. Don't let them dose you again if they are, wait for the next set of tests.
