Nice clean thread for us - may there be many a BFP on here

OP posts:
clareanna · 01/06/2010 19:55

Hi Sarah have you had one full cycle since your MC do you think?
We call the cycle after an MC the WTF cycle because your body doesn't know WTF it's doing - so it can take a while to get your first RTD (Red Tide of Doom)
If you are still waiting for your first RTD then the EWCM could be a sign that you're ovulating now? It can take quite a while for RTD and cycle to return to normal length (3 months for me) - I hope this has helped a bit - otherwise, test the day after you think you would be due on?

I have now purchased my POAS contraband and keep on looking at it longingly - but IT IS TOO EARLY.
Getting some odd cramps this evening - so it might be good news, or bad news... am going to wait and see - honest.

Muser · 01/06/2010 20:15

Oh hairy, I'm really sorry that things haven't worked out. I was threatened with a second dose of the stuff when my levels didn't fall quickly enough after the ectopic and remember how horrified I was at the prospect.

Having gone the methowotsit route, the worst thing was the wait, and that does go quicker than you'd realise. I did not bleed much on it, a bit of light spotting and a final bleed when my levels went to 0, but nothing else.

One thing, it is normal for your HCG levels to go up in the first days after an injection. If that happens don't panic, they will go down again.

hairytriangle · 01/06/2010 20:32

Claireanna good luck waiting to POAS! x

LadyBee · 01/06/2010 20:55

Don't think the list has been done for Tuesday yet, Tigger I think you said RTD came on Saturday so I've started you on the next cycle, I know you're being referred so I hope this isn't too awful to see.

Are any of our recent BFPs brave enough to move onto the graduates?

And I've done another MIA list as we've got some really long cycles showing up here...Pollyanna, I think you had someone reading your posts so might not want to update with news but I hope you're ok.

Freezingmyarseoff · 01/06/2010 21:31

Wow, it's been SO busy on here, I'll try to catch up.

WYG sorry to hear about the pains and worries. Glad you have a scan sorted and hope you manage to enjoy the holiday

oh Hairy it just never ends for you. I really hope the methotrexate sorts things out for you. A 3 month wait sounds depressing I know, but just to say I've been on a two or three month wait, and actually it's been a relief to have a bit of break. I have been surprised by that.

Moofold total pants about the car, but am dead impressed you stayed up till dawn

Clareanna look into my eyes, look into my eyes, not around the eyes but into my eyes.... you will wait for another 3 days until you POAS..... you're back in the room

Viv such a downer, so sorry for you for this month

welcome to IvySedai and Mummy, sorry you're here

Bunder that bill must have been a big , hope it's not too much hassle to sort out. You really don't need that kind of thing

Mad waves to everyone else, Battery, digital, sarah, empty, lucy, PV, cheepz, muser, jollster, barren, Magic8s, dorcas and slimyak. I'm bound to have missed someone - sorry if I have.

Thanks for the list ladybee

Someone who knows this sort of thing, can you help me? We're meant to be waiting at least 2 cycles before TCC again and on Saturday I got my RTD again (2nd since MC) does that mean I can join the TCC list now or do I wait for the next RTD, I get confused where to start counting from the MC.

hairytriangle · 01/06/2010 21:35

Hi freezing thank you

I am pretty sure two periods since MC is two cycles, considering the start of your period is day one of your cycle, so you are now on cycle two

(what does RTD stand for ?? stil a newbie see!

Freezingmyarseoff · 01/06/2010 21:44

Hairy RTD is red tide of doom.

that's the thing, am I now starting cycle 2 or did I finish cycle 2 on friday and start cycle 3 on saturday? I don't know

Will be thinking of you tomorrow.

Sorry curlylox that I missed you in my last post

MrsGMack · 01/06/2010 22:00

Hi ladies

I've been reading everyone's posts. Hairy what a absolute shocker of a roller coaster you are on. Hope it all settles down v. soon.

My news is boring, predictable positivity

I stopped bleeding nine days after my MMC. I've had two acupuncture sessions (not sure if it's the placebo affect) but I'm in a pretty good place. My acupuncture is to get my hormones back on the straight and narrow.

I'm back taking prenatal nutrients, agnus castus and raspberry leaf. I read so many boooks on optimising fertility and it's enough to drive a girl mad . Rather than slavishly follow the advice within these weighty tombs, I've decided to take a moderate approach and do what works for hubby me.

Our diets have been almost faultless since Christmas. I lost half a stone keeping to the diet and DH lost a stone (git) BMI is skirting bewteen 24-25

We've both upped our exercise, me running (well more plodding) and he tennis - my only vice was coffee, but that's now on the banned list!

Happy to share if it helps - you may not be able to cope with Little Miss Sunshine

Muser · 01/06/2010 22:02

Freezing after my meth I was told 3 month/2 full cycle wait. The first bleed after ectopic was not counted as a cycle. So the first cycle was first 'proper' period to next 'proper' period. Second cycle was then to the next one again. So 3 periods in total. Does that make sense?

Basically, cycle means you have to count the whole thing, not just the number of periods.

Freezingmyarseoff · 01/06/2010 22:17

Thanks Muser that makes sense.

I'll wait until next RTD before joining the list. Fortunately, I didn't have methotrexate but anyway I don't think I'm quite ready yet, emotionally, for the worry of TTC. I really hate that MC takes away the joy and excitement of trying to get pregnant. I'm normally a fairly positive person but for this I have to expect that I'll have another MC, it's the only way I can cope - if I set my expections to the worst case scenario.
I was talking about this with DH, and he didn't quite understand, but I think you lovely ladies do. Thank god for this thread

Have you tried skittle vodka?

Sorry to hear about your car Moo
Unlucky.
Well done on the ravin''n'misbehavin' though

Clare what Freezing said!
The BFP fairy is not due at your house for a few days, she will mock you if you rush her.

HairyLurker glad you're hanging around for a bit, this lot need more amusement than how many Goldfish I bought at the weekend and what my cat is up to.
The bench is quite a comfy place, I've installed a mini bar I've got spare Pom Poms to wave at them.

MrsMack good to see you're on the up&up.
Wish I could lose half a stone!

clareanna · 01/06/2010 22:44

pretty lol you make me larf.

Feeling a bit crampy do now convinced it's not going to be my month Grrrr

emptyshell · 01/06/2010 22:50

I've just begun climbing the walls wanting chocolate. Assume this is the beginning of PMT and RTofD in a week and a bit.

So fed up with all of this.

LadyBee · 01/06/2010 23:02

lucysnowe oh no, the madness strikes all, but it is half the fun, isn't it? Got to get a bit of stupid optimism before the crashing depression. Which in your case, viv I hope is not too awful. I'll release my quiet optimism balloon into the air with a sigh and a wish for better things really REALLY soon.
empty I hope the temping works for you, I do find it intriguing as a way to monitor what's going on and (also to channel the obsession). Oh bessie what app to you use? I use iPeriod (I think that's what it's called), but your idea of using the notepad is a really good one.
MummyMcKT take your time, dive in or not
We all do this differently and there isn't a right or wrong way . Sarahmia I think wait 2 days and test again, but I know I'd be tempted to test everyday past due until AF turned up or I got a BFP. Hairy I'm so sorry that it's not over for you yet, and that your treatment means you'll have to have an enforced wait. I know you won't be feeling any positivity at all, but hopefully in a few days you'll be able find something that you hook onto as something to do with those 3 months that will make you feel happier about the break.
Lovely to see you PrettyVacant, and well done for hanging in there for such a long wait. You WILL get there. And it'll be brilliant when you do.
Moo oooh, bastard cars. I hate them. I'm the driver in my house and I have a real struggle with being solely responsible for the car. So much that I constantly let the battery run down because I simply don't drive often enough. So right now, our car is parked outside with no power and I'm refusing to organise it anymore and have joined a carclub instead so they keep the car running and I only book it when I really need it. DH is yet to fix or get rid of the car but it's no longer my problem.
Goodness, what a busy crew this evening. I'm feeling fine, just waiting waiting really, a bit niggly which isn't usual for me at this stage, normally get that a bit later, but I'm taking it as just post-MC things settling down, right now. Started to feel the lower-back ache this morning and thought RTD was deffo on its way, then realised it was just 'gallery-back' and I get it every time I go to a museum.

Moofold · 01/06/2010 23:08

Freezing I was told at the hospital sames as what Muser has said too. That's goood you're finding the wait bearable though.

Clare I'm staying out of this because I am awful for peeing on sticks and would be doing it early regardless. Last 2 cycles I have POAS even when it was clear RTD was descending. Listen to the others with more sense.

Stick around Hairy - you're in great company with MrsPretty and the others on the WTTC list.

MrsGMack I'm in awe of your discipline and positive vibes. Before I get the reputation of being a partying legend I should point out that its only just got dark here now and will be light again before 4am....

clareanna · 01/06/2010 23:15

anyone still around?
so... just found out on FB that last of my NCT group is having no2, and has just had her 20 week scan. Cue self indulgent sobbing and wailing and general pity. Thought to self - what's the one thing I could do to compound this sense of misery? ahh yes - POAS
OMFG - faint BFpositive - came up straight away on a CB test (not digital)
GULP!
DH away for a few days, so can't BELIEVE I'm telling you lot first. Am going to wait a few days and POAS again (every day) until RTD is officially late and I'm absolutely sure.
am just going to do a quiet snoopy dance to myself in the meantime.

Muser · 01/06/2010 23:16
