Hello all, just sticking my head in to say hi. Have been keeping a low profile as my (balding) head hasn't been in the best of places. Had to go in for an ERPC yesterday as have had really heavy bleeding and scan showed some tissue left in womb. Better it's over with now though.

Have only quickly read through posts (slack I know) but just wanted to say to WYG to hang in there, best to get yourself to the GP and perhaps stretch the truth as it were to get what you want though. FX all is OK chicken.

Magic Glad you are feeling a little better

And clareanna JEALOUS!!!!!! SATC premiere! Lucky lady!!!!

Anyhoo, love to all, welcome to the newbies

clareanna · 29/05/2010 16:20

barren big hug- sorry you have had a double whammy- what crap luck. Completely understand why you are feeling so rotten. Look after yourself x

WestYorkshireGirl · 29/05/2010 18:43

Hi All

Well, woke up with no symptoms again, but even though I had over 10 hrs sleep I was very tired and by mid morning I felt pretty shocking in terms of nausea which got worse all day. Am still getting random pains everywhere, but not as bad and feel a bit calmer. DH said I looked like a ghost earlier and took a pic on his iphone after saying I looked terrible- how odd that I found this strangely comforting!..... Quick question - presume I should avoid a wheat bag or hot water bottle for the pains?

Have found 2 places in Leeds that do private scans, but will try 'stretching the truth a bit' to get one at my local hospital at the EPAU. Am off on Mon-Fri to Center Parcs with family so this could be a good distraction and by the time I return I'll nearly be 8 weeks and there will be something to see on the scan.

Barren Sorry to hear about the EPRC - look after yourself and thanks for your kind wishes.

8s Glad you are feeling a bit better and thanks so much for the advice about EPAUs and seeing how I am.

Littlemiss Moofold Lucy and Clare - thanks for thinking of me and the SATC premiere sounds fun oh and well done on the job LM! Cheepz Thanks for being honest about pains etc.

Hi to bessie - UCL means usual cycle length.

Am off to prepare for Dr Who fest....

ahhh... in that case you can add me to the list!

Hi Bessie I do actually use an iPhone app to note the temps and it does a graph for me, but I'm not that happy with it. I need something that I can enter the temp in straight away though as I'm rubbish remembering to do it later. The spreadsheets I was doing were to work out what my average before & after Ov temps were because it just didn't seem like I was high enough to show up a definite rise. It's still a bit flatter than last time, but now I can see that my CM has changed too, so I'm pretty sure I did ov around day 13/14.

God I hate the 2ww, I succumb to full-on craziness. You know the story of our disastrous peak-time attempts, so of course I've already googled repeatedly for info about how long sperm can live, grasping at straws that one of our successful earlier shags might do that trick. I am soooo setting myself up for a crash when RTD arrives - sigh.

ljg22 how are you doing? I spotted you on another thread and sounds like it's pretty early days for you - are you ok? I hope you're getting a chance to relax and take it easy in the evenings at lteast. You're in the right place, everyone here knows what it's like and no one is going to expect you to be 'over it' (whatever that means) in a hurry.

I hope you have a lovely holiday Bessie - I was supposed to go to Spain about a week after I MC, but was stymied by the volcano, ended up on a beach holiday in the UK instead but it was still really good to have a complete break away from normal life. When I came back I did feel refreshed and more able to contemplate the next steps.

hope everyone else is enjoying their saturday nights

BB - what an arse. Sorry you have really been through it. Hope all on the up now x

tarra - back tomorrow night after collapsing after DS party xx

tigger15 · 29/05/2010 23:00

I see a lot has been happening here. Barren - really sorry to see you back again. You were my hope of the other long term waiter who seemed to have made it. I'm really sorry for your loss.

RTD came again today. We have now been referred for secondary infertility and they will start scans and blood tests this month to monitor my cycle. Frankly I doubt they'll find anything (unless something went wrong during the ERPC) but I guess you've got to cross everything off the list.

I hope this month improves for everyone.

littlemiss72 · 30/05/2010 09:10

Morning all, Barren thinking of you hunni. You really have been through some tough times. x

Day 25 in the littlemiss house, guess what ViV all that boobie touching seems to have brought back a little tenderness to by bee stings!

I'm not thinking up duffed, just that things are finally back to normal. It's the first month since ERPC saga. Always get tender boobies the week before RTD very pleased and I was getting a little worried thing wern't quite right.

magic word of advice, if you've been told to stay off work and rest please take this seriously. Your health really is more important woman! Like you I think I'm super woman sometimes, certainly hard for us to take a step back but it reall is for our own good. x

I have the funniest day planned.. DP bought a bike yesterday. I been a cyclist for 10 years, done time trials and longon distance cycling challenges. For some reason he thinks he can match me, hop on a bike and do 54 miles from London to Brighton. I'm taking him out for a trial run later.. this will be such fun!!

Happy sunday to you all x

digitalgirl · 30/05/2010 09:54

Have fun whipping littlemr's slowass cycling today.

Welcome newbies. So sorry you've found yourselves here, but hopefully you won't stay long.

Well I'm 6dpo and finding that the progesterone seems to be doing it's job very well. Constant feeling like rtd is about to start? Check. Occasional twinge in the boob region? Check. Completely irrational mentalness where I think I'm pregnant already? Check. Googling for evidence of very early implantation? Check.

Thing is I'm just so pleased to have made it to 6dpo. I'm really glad we didn't wait for the first proper period. Im sure I'd be climbing the walls by now.

Right back to chores. Dh and ds have gone swimming. Am supposed to be tidying up.

Gi1da · 30/05/2010 13:51

Hello All! popping in for a quick hello, hope you're all having super long weekends.

BarrenB sorry you've had a crapola week. Here's to things being firmly on the up from here on

WestYorks hope you're feeling more at ease. I had horrid periody pains and sharp pains in the early weeks but all looking good. It's just totally nerve wracking! Hang in there and have a super holiday.

Magic rest up and enjoy resting up!

Clarea OMG at you going to the Sex & City premier! I hope it was fabulous!

Congrats on the job Littlemiss [thumbs up] and Cheepz hope you're doing bugger all during your notice!

Muser and Jolls delighted to see you both on the list. Best of luck! x

WestYorkshireGirl · 30/05/2010 16:40

Hmmm... no more symptoms today and lots of pains so I think it's just going to be a case of getting used to this for a while till I can get a scan.

Cheepz do you know the source of your statistic 'women who have had mc who get support are 16% more likely to have sucessful pregnancy if they get the right support'? Thanks

Off to Center Parcs tomorrow so won't be checking in until next weekend - hope you all have a good week.

digitalgirl · 30/05/2010 16:59

wyg enjoy your holiday, hope you get more reassuring symptoms.

Right, I realise all women are different etc, but have been feeling very very much like rtd will come any minute. Cramps across my lower back. Again this is feeling very familiar to the few days before my mc. It's also way too early for it to be anything pregnancy related. Am in the middle of making a lasagne and have had to sit down as i don't like 'pushing myself' through these aches.

So can anyone tell me whether you had a painful crampy 8 days leading up to your first post-mc period?

hairytriangle · 30/05/2010 18:17

very quick post - sorry not to name check, feel crap - sorry to all of you feeling shit or having bad news

spoke too soon, bleeding subsided then came back so it's day 11 of heavy bleeding (with a little day off in the middle of late crampint).

Feel like I should just buy a load of adult size nappies and have co-codamol intravenously dripped. Grrrrr.

dorcas111 · 30/05/2010 20:11

Hi, sorry, I've not posted in a while. I still don't feel quite brave enough yet to leave here though. And also want to check in on how everyone else is doing obviously! All those who were got by the RTD I'm sorry, hope you are okay. Those still on the 2ww, keep strong! WYG I think I may have missed you and you are probably off on your hols by now but just wanted to say I am thinking of you. It is such a difficult time when you really want to be positive and get excited but you can never really forget the pain of the past and the get over the fear of it happening again. Take care of yourself love. Hairy I can't believe that things are still not getting better as far as the bleeding is concerned, why aren't the hospital more worried about the length of time you have been bleeding for? What a total arse for you.
No time to namecheck everyone else, will do better next time, but lots of love to everyone, especially those going through the mill at the moment. Hope everyone is having nice bank holidays x

hairytriangle · 30/05/2010 22:07

I think mc bleeding can last weeks dorca I have an appointment for more blood-letting on Tues so I'll talk to them then ... see what they say. just poas, and it's positive, but I guess that just means it hasn't gone down to

Muser · 30/05/2010 22:09

Sorry to hear it's gone wrong again hairy. I really hope this ends for you soon.

LadyBee · 30/05/2010 22:35

Poor you hairy, apart from the niggling worry about continued bleeding, you must be utterly sick of sanitary products.

digitalgirl I think we must be at about the same stage - I'm on day 19 and am pretty sure I ov'd at 13, and I'm feeling crampy and twingey too, although not as bad as you seem to be, just enough to notice it occasionally.

barrenB, how are you doing today? and wyg I hope you have a lovely time, I've never been to a centreparcs but DH & I look at them every so often thinking they'd be quite a good option.

littlemiss did your DH survive?

Tigger I hardly know whether to hope that they do find something or that you find out all is well. At the very least I hope you get good and sympathetic care and some reassurance.

I'm feeling tired today, had a nap in the afternoon but still could do with an early night - although I feel a bit guilty that I haven't jumped DH since the 'Events' and that I should probably make the effort so that he doesn't think it's all about the fertile window. That said, he's been hiding away on the PC playing a new game lately...how to lure him to bed?

hairytriangle · 31/05/2010 07:33

ladybee you hit the nail on the head about the sanitary products! I can only use towels and at one point I resorted to maternity pads it was so bad. Each time I go to the loo and see yet another stream of red emerging it's so disheartening!

Day twelve in the big blooder house and still no letup!

I just scared myself by looking at molar pregnancy as I have all the symptoms - except apparently HCG would be much higher and they'd have seen it on the scan (unless my tipped uterus is hiding something).

I dreamed last night I was in hospital and a nurse came and put something in my arm, I asked and she wouldn't tell me until she'd finished and she said 'it's methorexate' - and I cried and cried because I knew I had a baby in my tummy! Horrible brain playing tricks on me!

Ah well, just got to get on with it and wait!
Hope you all have a lovely bank hol! x

batteryhen · 31/05/2010 10:07

Morningall

Am back from my dash to germany, had lots of SWI - so much in fact I have come back with cystitis - which was fun on the plane. Not.

hairy - I was still bleeding when my HCG went back to 2 - the Drs said it was my hormones settling (?) - so it could be that your hcg is down, its just your uterus hasn't cottoned on yet - will keep fingers crossed for you xx magic hope you are feeling better, and you should have a month off if thats what you need. WYG when I fell pregnant, I had lots of pains - so much I ended up in A+E one night - but all was ok, they just reckoned it was the bedding in, in the uterus.
BB Hope things start looking up for you soon xx

I am hoping that I ovulate in the next day or two, and that DPs little swimmers can hang around a little longer! Otherwise its 3 weeks till I see him again. He actually asked me if I had one 'of those test things that tell me when I am ovulating,' so he marched me off to the shop yesterday and bought me my first OPK. I am now armed and dangerous

Big wave to all others, and newbies too, I hope your weather is better where you all are xx

littlemiss72 · 31/05/2010 10:19

Morning all, thanks for the congrats - I'm staying in the same company so can't really ease off the work like lucky minx Cheepz

Whipped DP a&se cycling yesterday.. a hot bath and bed early bless him.

Have a smashing holiday WYG Relax woman and put your feet up. LaydBee oooh try some smoking sexy eyes .. not literally in the make-up sense.

digitalgril I'm hearing you, in the same boat..!

Happy Bank Holiday Monday all x

WestYorkshireGirl · 31/05/2010 10:59

Quick update before I head off. Spoke to my independent mf last night and she thought I should go to A&E about the pains. So we went at 7am this morning. Was seen by a pubescent boy who seemed most disinterested in the pains - the pg test was positive, he had a poke about and told me take paracetamol and come back if worse, but he did arrange a scan! They wouldn't do it today, and were very particular about it being after 7 weeks, but have one for Fri which I am pleased about, but I did have to be a bit assertive! So we are heading off soon and I know I have a scan on Fri which might give me an idea if things are going ok or not so a bit of good news.

Hairy good luck this week. battery good luck for the 2WW!

digitalgirl · 31/05/2010 11:21

Well done on getting a scan booked wyg enjoy yourself this week.

Well after yesterdays panic attack about only having a 6 day luteal phase I now have no pre-rtd feelings whatsoever. So obviously now I'm convinced that swi has not worked, as today is 7dpo and I should be getting implantation cramps. I thought I'd be past all this mentalness, especially as i've been doing this for ten months now.

littlemiss when are you testing?

hairy perhaps a trip to an acupuncturist might help balance you out again? I'm so sorry this has dragged out so long for you. Sounds like your body is doing everything it can to get rid of those hormones though.
