morning all!

hu-flipping-ray - much much less bleeding over night.

It is petering out at last.

So I can now stop bombarding this thread with my woes, and join the TTC list

cycle day 9 (if it's ok to call this a cycle???!!) , ttc number 1

Hope you are all good.

I'll be away for weekend so catch on Monday - have good weekends all!

hairytriangle · 28/05/2010 10:03

WYG: glad you are symptomatic! TBH I'd lay it on really thick with the MW so that she knows you really really need this early scan!

Each time I phoned the out of hours doc, they asked me 'would you say you feel extremely anxious at present' to which I replied 'yes' (because I did) and that seemed to nail it that I needed to see someone.

emptyshell · 28/05/2010 11:19

I don't know where I'm at regarding cycles. I generally seem to ovulate very early (when I actually DO ovulate) so it could be that I'm already playing the waiting game - but who knows coming straight out of a v. early miscarriage? Driving myself nuts symptom spotting - rationally I have none, and setting myself up for the inevitable dashed hopes whenever my period decides to materialize (vowed I wouldn't do this - but you can never help yourself really).

Counting wise I'm at (if I view the mc as an essentially slightly late and ikky period) day 13 of a 28 day cycle - but all bets are off this month really (because of my weight I think I'd only just lost enough to get my ovulation to return anyway).

Just feeling it today - exhausted beyond belief since I haven't slept properly since the miscarriage started, and the two days this week I've had off my school-job to try to recover a bit have been wrecked by inconsiderate neighbours making a racket at 8am - the other day it was very loud DIY, today it's next door blasting dance music so loudly I can't think.

hairytriangle · 28/05/2010 11:43

(((((((((((empty)))))))))))

look after yourself hon. x

digitalgirl · 28/05/2010 14:50

empty you're body should return to normal fairly easily if the mc was very early on and there were no complications. Also if you usually have 28 day cycles then that sounds like a textbook cycle. You've had the hormone tests so you probably are ovulating. Women who don't ovulate have irregular cycles and rarely have periods. You said yourself that even at 20 stone you carried the weight fairly well and were much happier. Have you tried charting you temps to find out when in your cycle you ovulate? It can be a real eye opener for some women. Even those who've been ttc for years.

LadyBee · 28/05/2010 15:00

Argh, what a pain - I suffer inconsiderate neighbours too, so annoying when you just want to relax and enjoy your own home and are disrupted.

What (if anything) do you do to try to track ovulation? I just spent most of the morning looking at my bbt chart from the post-mc cycle (which was the first time I started taking my temp) and so far in this one. I wasn't sure that my temperature had risen at all so was getting confused about getting CBFM peaks but not know whether I'd actually ovulated. But I think now, I did, and am just on the way up to higher level (took quite a while to figure that out - spreadsheets and everything, very distracting from what I'm SUPPOSED to be doing ).

I hope you get an early night and relaxing weekend empty. Oh btw, I think mentioned above getting into a size 20 - well that's where I am too, I'm aiming to head downward, but I just thought I'd let you know you're not alone, and you certainly don't need to despair of regaining more regular ovulation as being stones and stones of loss away. You've done brilliantly losing the weight you have and spurring those hormones into action - well done!

emptyshell · 28/05/2010 15:10

I haven't yet gone down the temps route - too incoherrent to remember to do much when I drag my rear out of bed on a morning to be honest! I just know I appear to ovulate early from the dildo-scan they put me through which showed follicles ready to pop very very early in my cycle - scannywoman reckoned I did go pop quite early so we adjusted the bonking window to an earlier start just in case.

Got to have lost more weight - wore a pair of trousers for work yesterday that I haven't worn in over three years (and they were so tight the zip kept on popping down when I wore them then)!

I know as a younger woman in an abusive relationship I concieved and ended up having an abortion when I was a size 18/20 (more a 20 in denial) so I'm pretty sure I'm near the point where my plumbing kicks back into action... but I still swear to this day that barsteward men have super sperm (it got through a broken condom and the morning after pill)! Rationally I know the pieces of the puzzle are slotting back into place (despite me not having properly made it to the gym since all of this kicked off) - but it doesn't make the hurt any easier to bear.

Course I have a dentist appointment next week - if I'm pregnant they can't give me as much anasthetic (I'm severely dental phobic and in agony with toothache for the last two months) so if sod's law kicks in... I'm bound to be upduffed!

BUnderTheBonnet · 28/05/2010 15:33

empty I sypathise on the dentist front - I have to be knocked out. It occurred to me I should really make an appointment while I'm not pg. I won't though, will I? Try ov sticks if temping isn't your thing. You can get them cheap in bulk off ebay or amazon. I use the "One Step" brand and htey're fine for me.

Advice please! My 1st post mc RTD arrived last Thursday, and petered out after 4 days. Was really light. I've had fould stomach ache and - tmi - constipation ever since and today, I got more (really tmi) brown discharge. Doctor is not bothered at all. Any advice?

LadyBee · 28/05/2010 15:53

Hi BUnder, let me just check my chart , yup my first post-MC droid was also light, bright red blood but only for a couple of days then a day of spotting. Stomach ache would go with constipation - I didn't get that exactly but I do tend to get a bit sluggish around period generally. Brown discharge is prob just last old dregs of period taking a while to descend?

God I really must get off MN and do some more work!

BUnderTheBonnet · 28/05/2010 16:11

Thanks ladybee.

I get "sluggish" around RTD normally too. Mentioned that to GP and he seemed surprised. All GPs should be women....

WestYorkshireGirl · 28/05/2010 17:56

Not sure if things are OK. The pain in my right, really low down started again last night and woke up this morning with no symptoms at all - they've just vanished. Mentioned all to MW and she couldn't refer me for a scan unless I am bleeding (which I'm not) until 12 weeks. She said sometimes symptoms come and go, but last time that was the key indicator for the MC. All she advised was to go to A&E or call their out of hours no if bleeding starts and take a pg test in 2 weeks. Pain in the left started earlier and general cramps all along - not on the scale of last time, but niggly. Feel really odd - I don't feel pg at all and don't have a good feeling, but until something happens there's nothing I can do so just feel helpless. 6 more weeks seems a long time until a scan..... Private scans seem to be in the region of £90 and can't be done until 7 weeks and then I'd have to go to Leeds which is a 50 mins drive so can't do much until the end of next week on that front and I'm not sure we can affo
ord £90. Why is the NHS so rubbish?

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 28/05/2010 17:57

WYG think positive hun x

not sure if here may help? Early Pregnancy Units

OP posts:
lucysnowe · 28/05/2010 20:12

WYG am at your mw - surely if you've had a m/c before you are entitled to a scan? Esp if you have pain etc. Could you see your GP to get a second opinion?

Meantime I'm sure you know that symptoms can disappear just like that in healthy pregnancies. Fingers crossed for you.

BU stupid question but you're not pg I suppose?

empty I also recommend charting, it's good to know where you are and feel in control. Also you don't need to get out of bed to do it

Moofold · 28/05/2010 20:24

WYG I can imagine these pains will be very alarming. We are all desperate to get pregnant again but a part of me is terrified of going through it again, panicking at every twinge and not being able to relax. Both times I have been pregnant I had very uncomfortable pains in the first 6 weeks, try not to read too much into it. Remember Malteser spoke about the same thing when she got her BFP and got scanned and eveything was just fine. Agree with LucyS though - you need better support to prevent stress. As 8s says, try not to freak out. (Waves to 8s in her sick bed)

BU I got that minging brown stuff lots in the WTF and 1st cycle at random stages of the cycles and sometimes interspersed with EWCM. It passes eventually and I haven't seen it since, thankfully.

DH is at work tonight so am about to settle down with some vin rouge and MY telly programmes.

littlemiss72 · 28/05/2010 21:44

Yoohoo.. quick high five to you all...I GOT IT

digitalgirl · 28/05/2010 22:09

The job? The bfp???

Congrats!!!

bessie26 · 28/05/2010 23:03

hello,

am new here - just had m/c at 8 weeks - bleeding almost stopped now & have scan on thurs to check everything has sorted itself out ok.

Am off on holiday to France next week & trying to be +ive about being about to drink wine & eat stinky cheese! Healthy lifestyle will resume on return - honest

was looking at "the list" - what does UCL mean?

clareanna · 29/05/2010 08:57

Big hug to wyg I'm sure things will be ok- try calling your epu. Really thinking of you x

bessie sorry you have found yourself here. Have a lovely holiday and take care of yourself
UCL means usual cycle length

all well with me, satc2 premiere was amazing - met mr big and alan carr (!!) sometimes job has it's perks - enjoyed the cocktails whilst secretly wondering if they were the last I'd drink for a while!! No symptoms to report, still waiting...

clareanna · 29/05/2010 09:08

8s get better soon
bu also had lots of brown stuff during first two cycles
little got the job? Or the baybee?!

Cheepz · 29/05/2010 09:15

WYG if you are concerned and feel that you need a scan for reassurance then tell a GP you have had light spotting and have previously had an mc. I had bad shooting pains which suddenly subsided in 3rd pregnancy at 7 week and then didn't get a scan until 10 where they told me baby had stopped growing at 7 weeks - not trying to freak you out but I was anxious like you are for weeks and I could have spared myself that - and the hope, which made it so much worse later. The anixety and uncertainty is really bad for you and stats show that women who have had mc who get support are 16% more likely to have sucessful pregnancy if they get the right support.

especially do this if your instinct is that things are not right, 3 times I have had this instinct and 3 times I have been right, better to get answers sooner.

sorry to not be more positive and just say I am sure it will be fine - it might be and there are many more women who have had pains and been fine, fingers crossed for you my love for everything to be ok.

littlemiss72 · 29/05/2010 09:39

Got the job, couple of days yet to see if I got the BFP to.. not feeling anything apart from my boobies

WYG Do hope you managed to get a scan sorted. I agree with Cheepz you need the support right now as the uncertainty isn't good for you or the baby.

Hi Hi to all, happy weekend!
