Nice clean thread for us - may there be many a BFP on here

Thanks Ladybee, you're right I shouldn't feel like it is a chore all this baby making malarky. It's just that, although I am doing a lot better (crying on nurse's shoulders aside), I don't think I will feel truly, truly happy until I have a baby and the TTC is sort of keeping me going and giving me something to hope for and hold on to. Hence being worried last night! But I went to bed and OH joined me when he got home and we both had a lovely sleep!
Hairy I am appalled that you have not been scanned yet. At the very least they should be checking to make sure that you have not had an ectopic pregnancy. Could you go to an EPU today, just turn up and demand to be scanned. This is not good enough, you deserve better health care than this and I am sorry you are not getting it. MC is hard enough to deal with without having to worry about your health as well.
Everyone else, good morning! Sun is shining and it is a lovely day- I saw a double rainbow yesterday, may it be a good omen for lots more BFPs this month!

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 12/05/2010 08:58

Morning - will have plenty of time today on here seeing as I am housebound with the poxxxxxxxxx!!! Bless her the spot are multiplying

Hairy how are you feeling today? How many weeks would you technically be now? I think you should find your nearest EPU, look at this page and just go. Mentally and physically you need this sorted as soon as. Good luck hun and keep us posted x

Back in a mo to catch up with the rest of yous!

hairy hope you are feeling ok this morning - agree with the others- time to get pushy and get scanned asap, just for your own peace of mind x
ladybee welcome to the ttc list! Another small step forwards - let the swi madness commence!

morning all
sad news on the grads thread today.

Hope all ok on this blue/yellow (does that make green?) day?

Hairy - keep us posted - hope you get scanned today.

Cheepz · 12/05/2010 12:08

hi jolls thanks for that - had a look yesterday and washoping it was going to amount to nothing ..

hairy go and make a fuss somewhere - they really should be getting you some answers and fast, its not jsut medical risk, mentally it is insufferable tobe left wondering any longer than necessary

everyone else - hello - too tired and busy to post much but house move, nursery move, new job stuff all going well. CD12 no ewcm, CBFM saying high so cycle seems to be going as should - if back to normal will expect Peak CD15 so lets see

barrenbrook · 12/05/2010 12:23

Hello all, am quietly sneaking back in. Had a scan this morning after a little brown cm on Sunday, unfortunately it showed a sac measuring 6+3 (was supposed to be 9+6). This is MMC#3 so have opted to go au naturel rather than going through ERPC again. I may however, change my mind!!! Have updated list. cheepz & jolls cheers for your messages on the grads thread girls

That is so fucking shit, my heart goes out to you BarrenB. I honestly didn't think we would see you back here. I'm gutted to hear that, look after yourself. Please tell me you are getting proper support and attention from the NHS now? x

VivClicquot · 12/05/2010 13:05

Oh Barren my love, this has really knocked me sideways so goodness knows how you're feeling. Hope you and DH are okay?

Like Moofold says, I hope you're getting lots of support. Sending you all my love.

xxx

hairytriangle · 12/05/2010 13:05

Big hug to you Barrenbrook - take gentle care.

All: I feel loads better today. I'm under the care of the EPU and it's them that have monitored me for the last week +

to get a private scan I need a GP referral and I can't be arsed with all that palaver.

I am really apalled they haven't scanned me yet too.

Will see how I feel later (have meetings all day) and think about turning up there tomorrow and asking for a scan. I assume they don't have permanent on the spot scanning ability.

Hairy x

dorcas111 · 12/05/2010 13:13

Hairy I know that there will probably be difference between the EPUs but, after going to A and E initially and being given a scan appointment with their EPU that would have meant a three day wait, I went to another hospital and turned up at their EPU unannounced and asked for a scan which they gave me. It may not work for you just turning up, but it may be worth a shot.
Barrenbrook I am so sorry, that is just devastating. Lots of love x x

Moofold · 12/05/2010 13:20

Just catching up on other news now - Hairy hope you're ok pal and got a scan?

8s hope the wee one is ok with her pox and that she is better by the time the Tommy's function arrives. Tigger wishing a swift recovery for your little one too.

Dorcas good to see you feeling better about things. You have reminded me that I'm overdue a smear too - mine got cancelled when I found out I was pg. Joy of joys, one of my least favourite actvities.

Viv I still maintain that your rellies will understand you not wanting to be surrounded by lots of little ones at such a difficult time. To be honest, those soft play parties are dire at the best of times!

Lucky you Littlemiss getting some holiday SWI. I'm getting highs on my CBFM and due a few peaks anytime now and have a savage cold. SWI is a pure chore but I am determined not to miss my window of opportunity. Although part of me wonders if you are run down is there any chance? Hopefully and Digi good luck to you too on the SWI!

WYG fingers crossed for you at the top of the list. Good to see Freezing progressing to the TTC list and that LadyBee got her RTD and joins the CBFM gang!

Waves to all the other girlies and hope MrsPrettyG is getting on alright today

Moofold · 12/05/2010 13:22

Ah, crossed posts Hairy - good you're feeling better but still disappointing they can't do more and are leaving you in limbo

barrenbrook · 12/05/2010 13:24

Cheers girls, I've been given another scan date on 26th to check it's all come out, if not then I will be booked in for an ERPC. The Dr this morning was very matter of fact and there were two student nurses in there with her so I don't actually recall a massive amount of what she said! DH had to be at court this morning (he's old bill) and there's no getting out of it (people don't realise how shit it is being a copper sometimes!) so had to go on my own. I think the worst bit was sitting in the waiting room surrounded by other couples all buying scan pics etc and me sat there trying my hardest not to cry, looking like a sad old slapper on her own!!!

Anyhoo, I do remember her saying that they leave it three months and then I go back to my GP for a referral. They will then do tests etc to see if there is an underlying cause or if it's just us being old fuckers with rotten eggs and three headed sperm.

Am trying to remain positive. 3 months seems like a long time though! I think I may have a large glass of vino this evening!

Moofold · 12/05/2010 13:36

That's such a shame going through that on your own. I remember that feeling as well, like the walk of shame through all the happy couples and me all tear stained trying not to look them in the eye.

I guess the 3 months fits in with their standard advice of WTC during that time but can't be easy for you. Hope they are a lot more supportive after that time is up x

lucysnowe · 12/05/2010 14:20

So sorry to hear that barrenbrook, have a v, large glass of wine and lots of pate. I had a similar experience in the waiting room - we had a scan in the EPU but the doc wasn't sure what he could see so he sent down to the maternity scanning dept and there me and DH sat, with all the lovely expectant mums, trying not to cry since the bub was probably dead but we didn't know for sure. It was bloody awful. But much worse on your own, I'm so sorry.

Redheadgal · 12/05/2010 15:13

Oh Barrenbrook I'm so sorry to hear your news . Thinking of you and your DH. Big hug to you.

LucyT66 · 12/05/2010 15:23

Barrenbrook - gutted for you. You sound v positive. Hope you are doing okay and getting lots of love and support.

Hairy - what a nightmare. Hope you finally got some answers today.

MrsPrettyG - Hope today goes okay.

Big congrats RHG - what a fab surprise.

Sorry can't namecheck everyone as on phone and for some reason can't scroll back. But hope everyone is doing ok xxx

Moofold · 12/05/2010 15:44

LucyT - was it you that mentioned pineapple a while back? I saw one in the shop yesterday and now I have brought it home I can't remember what I should be doing with it and when!

Cheepz · 12/05/2010 16:00

BarrenB my doctor said wait one cycle, two if you feel you need to but no reason not start trying again at that point. I am on self imposed TTC amnesty on account of moving house, moving job and actually feeling good about not having all the anxiety that surrounds TTC despite being abit of an old fucker who should really crack on while her eggs are remotely viable!! I say do what feels right for you - they don't really have a clue what the right answer is - my doctor said as much! so you will know what right

I am on cycle 2 CD12 but CM is still pinky brown and tats defo not normal so first RTD post ERPC is clearly taking longer and everything is not back to normal so glad we waited. But I can only imagine how hard it is right now.

you sound very strong about it all though - more power to you

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

LucyT66 · 12/05/2010 16:02

Yes Moofold it was me. I'd read somewhere that after ovulation, pineapple, especially the bit near the middle, though I'm sure all of it's good, and black strap molasses (though not at the same time) is v good for you.

I think it's something about thickening the womb lining.

I know there are so many tips out there, and I know this could be nothing. But I took both - pineapple and black strap molasses every day for a couple of weeks after ov, and i got that BFP.

I was even more surprised cause I had no EWCM that month.

Good luck and fx for you!

sakura28 · 12/05/2010 16:03

Hi everyone,

Can I join? I have been lurking for a while, was on the other thread but not too great at contributing as can't access internet too often

Since the last thread I have had mc number 4, ended a few days ago. Reading barrenbrooks post about sitting on your own in waiting room, I really felt for you. Dp couldn't attend with me and whilst I was waiting for scan, had to look at other couples smiling, holding hands and looking at scan pics. Generally wanted to vomit with and wishing it was me

Hello to everyone else - congrats to RHG and heres hoping for more of the same!

One question - after my scan the doctor mentioned (now I may of got this wrong) having hcg(?) injections as all of my mcs are very early on. Does this ring a bell with anyone?

Was in shock a bit I think from scan and next appt with doc re: injections isn't for 2 months. Any words of wisdom would be appreciated!

xxx

hairytriangle · 12/05/2010 18:07

Moofold hi, my sis is an expert on this stuff!

She's advised me to drink pineapple juice to assist in attachment, during the second half of your cycle, and also brazil nuts which contain lots of selenium which aids attachment - I will check what she says about raw pineapple, because I can't remember if it was recommended or not.

Wave to Sakura2 good to see you, sorry to hear about your 4th MC.

HCG injections I've heard about (whilst doing unrelenting internet research on MC having just had my first) - apparently it's something that is given to boost your system, and help keep things going. x

Still no news from me, I have resisted phoning the hopsital and saying 'I WANT A SCAN NOW!!!!!" but I'm getting closer to doing that day by day... POAS and still showing positive which means I've still got those pesky hormones pretending I'm pregnant
