Hi all, old and new, this is the thread where all moaning, pieces of tmi, discussions and virtual cups of tea and biscuits come together to keep us sane .. or at the least insane together!

OP posts:
Cheepz · 22/01/2010 18:48

For goodness sake, I go away for one day and come back to two BFPs!! Maybe I should go away more often!!

TFLS I so hope its not the same scenario, but as others have said implantation bleeding can come around the same time as AF is due so there is every chance that it is that. Very quiet congrats, will wait to do something louder when there is more news

louisesh thats amazing news and so exciting for you but as you say cause for concern. Try and be optimistic hon and we will all be rooting for you.

lee hope you feeling better

zayja thanks for the sweet thoughts babe

meita although its been a sad time it has actually been quite cathartic, I am not sure I could have handled many more months of waitng and AF and then waiting and AF over and over, as I have said before I am relieved to have made some 'progress' and I am sure that in the next few months it will happen for me again - although hopefully without the mc next time.

January seems like a boomer of a month!

Cheepz · 22/01/2010 18:51

by the way - where in heavens name is barrenb? CD 38 .....

and mrsr what are your plans over the next few days ...

Hopefully · 22/01/2010 19:05

Congratulation Louise and TFLS! Hope that both of you have very boringly successful pregnancies.

WestYorkshireGirl · 22/01/2010 19:18

Hello ladies
Wondering if I can join you... had my first mc 2 weeks ago (first pg) and starting to emerge into the 'brave new world' of not being pg anymore (weird). It seems there's some success stories on here so that looks promising.

MrsRigby · 22/01/2010 19:21

Congratulations louisesh.

I can see I'm going to be the only one on the thread left .

ohhh mrsr don't fret, think i am going to be here for a little while besides, are you not coming up to testing window ..... maybe you will all be leaving me

westyorks welcome, sorry you had to find us, but know you are in good company

MrsRigby · 22/01/2010 19:37

cheepz DH doesn't know it - yet, but I took a pregnancy test yesterday (negative) and another today (negative).

I ovulated on CD19 and I'm now 8 days past ovulation, so too early to get a positive anyway.

I plan to take another test next Wednesday.

As you may have picked up on, I'm REALLY miserable.

westyorkshiregirl let me have your stats, it's nice when you start moving to the top.

TTC - trying to conceive
UCL - usual cycle length
CYCLE - how many cycles you've been trying
CD - cycle day

(sorry if you already knew this)

SarahMumtoAlex · 22/01/2010 20:31

Welcome westyorkshiregirl sorry to hear about your mc, I had my first a year ago and another in Sept, but this group is a real blessing, I hope it will help you get through all this too

louisesh · 22/01/2010 20:39

Hi WESTYORKSHIREGIRL sorry you re here your experience is PANTS!!!! But we ve all been through it soo can totally empathise.Where do you live? I live in Wakefield.

Thanks very much for ALL your lovely thoughts and wishes, particularly CHEEPZ and MEITA.Xmas Smile MRSR i ll probably be back with you soon!!!! We ll see.....

Spoke to my mum earlier soo hard to not say anything...shes going to cyprus on wed for 1 week and i won t be telling her before then as i don t want her worrying on holiday.

Keep analysing that the first test lines were darker at this stage than the last one and the digital test was positive and conception dates shown although i m only on cd24.BUT then i think "arh.....stop analysing it all what will be will be"

DH was priceless his response "how did that happen? "we ve only BD 6 times in the last 3 weeks 1 week we weren t even talking BIG row!!!!!

HOPEFULLY i would LOVE to have a "boring" pregnancy or even get past 12 weeks!!!! Xmas Grin

randomimposter · 22/01/2010 20:51

OMG - so much news, a lorra lorra traffic.

louise I hope all works out for you. To repeat myself ad nauseum you've got to be in it to win it... Can imagine you are highly emotional! And bugger the tidying up... .

welcome WYG, hope this thread does help you see the light at the end of your tunnel - it's SO tough at the start, I was pessimistic for quite a while...

MrsR don't be blue, it's still so early.

hi everyone

and GoodLuckBear am totally - would LOVE LOVE LOVE a spa break as a treat right now.

LeeWT · 22/01/2010 21:13

Louise darling what a surprise! A bfp give you a fighting chance. I don't know the ins and outs oUrukur genetic testing but I hope as meita says, that you have a chance and we're all here for you. It's really hard not to tell people. I'm finding it hard esp coz I don't want to lift my nanna and don't want people smoking around me..

tfls honey are you ok?

mrsR I ovulated late this time (day23) and I didn't get a bfp until cd37 or maybe even cd38.. That said I was using Internet cheapies or I might have gotten one sooner. To put it in perspective, 12 days dpo I was still getting bfns on cheapies. So hold out hope hope u r ok.. Believe me whether this works out or not I'm going to be on this thread for a looong time!

meita hope you feeling better pet

Welcome westyork x

Oh Louisesh - I'm so pleased for you but completely understand the mixture of emotions you must be going through.

To echo everyone else's comments - it does give you a chance. So hoping this is the one for you.

Hey we can be worry warts together

Had a panic attack earlier that the whole thing was a mistake as I couldn't work out how I was on CD31. It took me 15 mins to work out that I was counting day 1 from the end of my period. Duhhh award for me!

Lee - we'll be stuck on this thread whatever!

thefatladyscreams · 22/01/2010 22:49

Forgot to say welcome WestYorkshiregirl - sorry to hear about your m/c but you are in very understanding company here.

tigerbear · 23/01/2010 00:07

Evening all! Gosh, it's all happening on this thread isn't it??!
Whispers congrats to TFLS and Louise MrsR- don't worry about being last on the thread - I'm sure I'll be here for a while yet!

Hello to the newbies!

boodleboot · 23/01/2010 07:41

fabnews lou....sending lots of sticky vibes....

MS has kicked in with a vengence, from 4pm onwards i am pretty useless now as dry retching has turned into bolting up my lunch.....don't really like the look, smell or taste of anything....watched brothers at the cinema with a good friend last night an heaved throughout at smell of popcorn....my MS used to be bad at this sort of time with my DD....DS was just all day everyday....not complaining as such, just sharing

lee posted back re WW - i propose we do a seperate thread for that....

loving the flurry of jan BFP's ....all that xmas BD paid of eh woohoooo.

hi to newbies and rest of you

barrenbrook any news?

Hopefully · 23/01/2010 08:46

Morning!

Welcome WYG, so sorry about your MC, but hope you enjoy spending some time with us here!

Boodle sorry for your MS - mine was really easily controlled by eating load of protein for some reason. Which meant I didn't feel too sick, but I did gain about 12 pounds in 12 weeks...

Hope I OV in the next couple of days. My cycle is usually so clockwork, but this month I have no idea what's going to happen. Suppose it depends how much MC mucked things up. I have a theory that I bled so incredibly lightly because my pg didn't even make it to the 5.3 weeks when I miscarried - it probably wasn't viable from much earlier, so hopefully my hormones won't be too screwed.

SamanthaB123 · 23/01/2010 13:10

Hi All,

It's ages since I posted but have been reading all your news. Really busy back at work now that the snow has all gone.

Congratulations to all those BFP's .

Hello to everyone who is new .

Not a lot of chance of conceiving this month here, DH is away next week which is just the wrong time to be working elsewhere! Looks like I'll still be here with you Mrs R .

SB

thefatladyscreams · 23/01/2010 15:24

Well it's official. Clearblue Digitial this morning came up with 2-3 weeks. No spotting so starting to let myself believe a tiny bit that we might be in with a chance. But trying to stay realistic as I know what the stats for m/c are at my age.

Boodle - I found Ryvita helped with MS for some reason. Hopefully it's a sign that this is a really healthy one

Hopefully - I've read that the earlier you m/c the less it can mess up your body. So hopefully (if you excuse the pun - it was unintended ) you'll be back on track soon.

Samantha - lousy timing for DH's trip. Typical.

MrsR - I've got so low at times. It's funny this BFP has come on the cycle when I least expected it. To be honest, I had written this cycle off and done all the wrong things - drank alcohol, caffeine, taken ibruprofen etc (trying not to do my head in worrying now). I do wonder if that old saying "a watched pot never boils" has some truth in it. My only two BFPs have been when I've tried least.

Still feeling in a state of shock. The ClearBlue is lined up by the 3 internet cheapies I did yesterday! Saw my acupuncturist last night and told her in a sort of it doesn't count as it's only a positive on a cheapie kind of way. She laughed and very gently tried to point out that I was pregnant. Bless - she must have thought I was mad!

louisesh · 23/01/2010 18:08

TFLS FANTASTIC....Don t know about you but i prefer to see the actual words "pregnant" as opposed to 2 lines.

BOODLE sorry you re feeling crap but as you say must be a bit reassuring... i ve never felt ill , think in a way , thats due to my previous pregnancies all being short lived.Think i wouldn t mind some ms just to reassure me [though i say that now!!!!]

Thanks TIGGER X

Thanks LEE i know its soo hard to keep my mouth shut!!!!! Im gobby at the best of times!!!! Must be difficult with your nan's condition you soo don t want to tempt fate by telling all ans i feel like when we tell people its like "deja-vu" here we go again!!!!!

MRSR totally understand if you re down at times it seems soo totally impossible.......I d got to the point where i was and still am convinced we ll end up with no DC or have to go down the ivf route. At times. Its soo HARD.....

Hi to everyone else , thanks again for you re lovely kind words...

TFLS love to be "your" worrywort..[fsmile}

Cheepz · 23/01/2010 19:35

tfls delighted - big love coming your way, and everythings crossed for you and lou

WestYorkshireGirl · 23/01/2010 20:26

Wow - what a busy and welcoming thread!

Mrs R Still waiting for first period so not actually TTC yet and haven't even managed to BD since the MC as things just not right 'down there'. Will let you have them when we try although it will be our a second attempt at having our first baby, cycle length is 30 days and I will be on my first cycle (if you don't count the 3 it took to conceive first time).

Congrats to those with BFPs!
