Thought I'd get a new thread started as we seem to have run out of space

Let's hope this one brings us all lots of luck!

Morning, hope everyone had a good weekend?

Congratulations on the BFP cupc4kes and cyncan , great to have some more graduates, you give the rest of us hope.

vnewmummy I'm interested to hear of your experience on Clomid as I hope to be on it after I'm seen at hospital in next few months.

justshaggy I would just mix the boxes, I think it will use another full 10 sticks. Maybe phone their helpline if you're not sure?

boba82 · 10/05/2010 10:20

Thanks for the tips angel . Glad to hear everything's going well for you. x x

Hi
I have been lurking on this thread as have only just started using my monitor for this cycle and just wanted to share this with you as may help those who don't get peaks just highs.

I have been testing with my monitor in the mroning and clear blue digital OPK in the afternoon (trying to determine exact time of surge/POAS addict). I have had highs on my monitor since day 9, now day 13. Yesterday afternoon I got smiley face on my OPK, so fully expected to get peak this morning on the monitor - but no - just another high. Did an OPK 3hours later and got another smiley face?? All other signs are that I am ovulating about now - loads of EWCM, Temp dip etc so think its strange that monitor has not picked it up? And weird that as same brand you would think they would have the same sensitivity. Will know for sure tomorrow if my temperature has risen I guess.

Anywya just thought it was interesting and worth putting down for those of you that don't seem to get peaks don't assume you haven't ovulated - or try OPKs as well?
HTH someone!

vnewmummy · 10/05/2010 12:54

Angel - thanks for info. We only seem to manage it every second day so FX we will get there!

Boba - so far my experience on clomid has been positive, no side effects. I have only tried 1 cycle but I am regular 28 days and the metformin had stopped working. Im not too sure about dose. Im on 50mg but if I do not get a BFP this month i am going to up it to 100mg. I think I have mentioned before but we are only going to try for another 4 months. In a couple of month I will use clomid and have IUI done at fertility clinic. That should ensure the fish find the eggs!!!

Sorry about AF keziah I know how you feel hun. I've been really down recently as well, not been as long as you but it feels like forever, I'm technically about cycle 13 now time wise.

Not long until June so try and keep positive for your appointment. You are doing/have done everything you can. > x x x

Lychees · 10/05/2010 16:32

Thanks Angel. We have been trying to bd every other day since end of AF this cycle so I am really hoping its the month for us.

Hi oiseau, I think there was another lady on recently who said that her OPK were showing smiley faces before she got highs/peaks in her CBFM. To be honest, I've never used other OPKs so I don't know why they give different results .

Sorry that AF got you Keziah. Hope the appointment comes around quickly. Hugs to you and to Boba.

Keziahhopes · 10/05/2010 22:44

Thanks boba and lychees - need to motivate myself to bd every other day again this cycle, as it is easy to think there is no point bothering. Yes, only one more cycle before see dr, (((hugs back to boba)))

justshaggy · 10/05/2010 22:45

Congrats cycan!

oiseau - that's really interesting to hear, and a little worrying too given we rely on these tools to pinpoint ovulation. I have been using charting to track my cycle, and so far my temps have correlated exactly with the CBFM, seeming to indicate ovulation on first peak and temps shooting up on second peak. (My experience seems to match what Angelgirl shared with us too ... thanks angel).

This cycle had been especially odd though, so it might be a good one for testing the machine. If everyone wants I'll let you know if the matching continues - I should know in the next few days.

keziah - big big hug.x

Finally got AF this morning, hooray!! Don't think I've ever been so happy to have my period . Have already booked my day 21 blood test, ha ha!

You feeling any better today keziah? We can be chums this cycle as we're practically on same CD.

BabyHoping · 11/05/2010 14:01

Yuppi! Glad you can finally start a new cycle Boba!

boba82 · 11/05/2010 14:07

Thanks baby, it was getting rather lonely at the top of the list!

Keziahhopes · 11/05/2010 14:40

hi boba, bit blue - glad you on new cycle :-)

vnewmummy · 11/05/2010 14:55

Hi Boba, that's good news for you. FX things settle down for you this month.

Everyone - do you think we need to start fresh carry on thread as almost 1000 messages and it keeps crashing on me?! Anyone else having probs or is it just my useless pc?

boba82 · 11/05/2010 16:38

Doesn't crash with me but does take a while to load sometimes! I'll just start one just now, see if it helps.

boba82 · 11/05/2010 16:42

All aboard volume 3 . . . .

Pamsie · 18/05/2010 20:55

Oops, my stats need updating methinks...

Pamsie ttc#1, cycle 13, CBFM cycle 3, age 32, UCL 28-32 CD2

AF caught me again this month and I am so gutted. But I'm hoping that it's 3rd time lucky as I'm now on my 3rd month of using the monitor.

Congrats to all the BFNs. Here's hoping I join you in June.

cyncan · 27/06/2010 03:54

Hi ladies! I am back. Had a D&C on Friday. My baby's heart stopped beating at week 6. I am really really devastated. Trying to cope as best I can.

This has just been such a roller coaster ride. No happy ending for me yet.

Back to the drawing board.

baby dust to all.
Cyncan

chocciechip · 27/06/2010 20:37

cyncan I'm so sorry to hear this. I've had one MMC and a MC, so I know how painful and how unfair what you're going through feels like - and how hard it is to feel like you're starting all over again on the TTC roller-coaster. Give yourself time hun. x

Wednesday123 · 30/05/2017 14:10

Hello,

I am new to this group & have just bought an advanced CBF Monitor.

Was hoping someone might be able to help me with a few questions please :)

Tomorrow will be day 5 of my period, am I ok to start tomorrow or should I wait until next month?

If I start on day 5 tomorrow, will I need to reset it at the end of next month?

I want to start trying to conceive after August so was thinking to do 2 x cycles prior to that to help me work out when my most fertile days are - is this worth doing or should I just to start until August?

Many Thanks for your advice!
