Morning Ladies, how is everyone?

Got my results this morning and they are all normal. I am pleased that there is nothing obviousley wrong but also a little disappointed as it's so frustrating knowing there is no reason. I've still to get the day21 test whenever AF turns up.

On the plus side we got a letter from Infertility clinic @ hospital and only a 12 week wait so that is a lot shorter than we had expected. Will hopefully have an appointment there by the end of summer.

Lychees did you get your bloods done today?

Lychees · 07/05/2010 15:44

Hi Boba, yes, I got my bloods done today so will be booking an appointment to see my GP about the results and next course of action next week or the week after. DH has still not ben for his test but he should be going next week some time.

It's good that the waiting list is a lot shorter than you thought but I totally understand your frustrations. I have a feeling we'll be in the same boat.

How's everyone else doing?

I didn't get asked to poas this morning [I've already used 10 this cycle] and my monitor automatically gave me a peak so I guess, it'll automatically give me a high tomorrow then lows after that. I opened a stick ready though this morning thinking that because I had not gone back to lows I would need one. Do you think it will be okay to use it next cycle [that is if I don't get my BFP ... PMA ]?

boba82 · 07/05/2010 15:53

I would think so lychees as long as it's kept dry.Hopefully you will have your BFP by then

Morning - what horrible weather! Hope everyone has a good weekend. Anyone testing in next few days?

I started my clomid 2nd cycle last night. Its good that i have no side effects. FX

cupc4kes · 08/05/2010 08:43

morning

Oh my god I cant believe it Ive just done a test and Ive got my BFP Im in shock I really didnt expect it as I have had no peaks just a million and 1 highs. We only bd for 6 days in a row and then that was it cos we had been so disheartned with all the highs.Oh god Im in some much shock. Im going out in a bit to get some more tests. Im a bit worried tho little girl is getting over chicken pox but have looked and it says there shoudlnt be a prob if already had it. So ladies it can be just on high days. I hope theres other BFPs soon xxxxxxx

Missyraines · 08/05/2010 09:12

Congrats cupcakes. I love to see happy news.

Lychees · 08/05/2010 10:17

Told you so ! Congratulations, cupc4kes!

You should already have immunity to chicken pox if you've had it before so I don't think you need to worry. Also, I don't believe it's contagious when the spots start to dry out. Wishing you all the very best.

Good luck with the clomid, vnewmummy. How long do you have to take it for each time?

I am on my high after my two peaks today so the marathon bd'ing will be coming to and end soon for now. About time too, it's been tiring keeping up this every other day tactic. Time for a short sabbatical to get some sleep!

cupc4kes · 08/05/2010 11:01

Lol Lychees you did, so everyone listen to Lychees she knows.
Im still in shock Ive just done a clearblue digital and it confirms that I am so I suppose that is definate gonna ring Dr on Mon to see what they say. With the digital test Ive got Id had it for ages and looked on the box and its got a sell by date of end of May spooky.xxx

whostolemyname · 09/05/2010 06:43

Hello everyone. Im new to this thread and hoping someone might be able to advise me. Have been trying to concieve for 18 months now, 1 MMC in that time. Started using the CBFM 3 months ago. The first time i had two bars showing for several days and ovulated on day 18. The second month i had two bars for 1 day and ovulated on day 11. This month i am on day 16 and still on one bar. Does this sound ok? It seems as though my cycle is all over the place. I have had blood test done in the past that showed i did ovulate in the month that test was done. Please help.
Thank you

Vikks · 09/05/2010 08:22

HI whostolemyname, I don't think there is anything to worry about. THe CBFM gives you less highs as it learns your cycle and also, it seems, makes some assumptions.

In my first cycle, I got lots of highs before peaks on CD18 and 19,; last month, I got no highs then suddenly had peaks on CD15 and 16 [sometimes you can go straight to peak if the monitor does not detect the rise in oestrogen before luteinising hormone is present]; this month, I got three highs then two peaks on CD18 and 19.

My cycle has been 32 days for the past three months which is unusual as it has been anywhere from 28 to 49 days in the past 18 months. But it goes to show that even though I thought I was pretty regular recently, I was actually ovulating at different times some months .

Good luck!

justshaggy · 09/05/2010 14:37

Such good news cupcakes!

BabyHoping · 09/05/2010 14:41

Congratulations cupcakes! Those are really good news!

FlyingCat · 09/05/2010 17:20

Fantastic news - best wishes cupcakes for an easy 9 months and a gorgeous bundle of joy at the end of it!

cupc4kes · 09/05/2010 17:55

Thanks Ladies for all the congrats Im still in shock at the min I still cant quite believe it. I cant wait for the morning sickness to start so at least it will become more real.

vnewmummy · 09/05/2010 20:20

Cupc4kes - wowwy, fantastic news hon. That is brilliant news.

Lychees - I take 1 tablet for 5 days starting from day 3 of my cycle. It seems to be ok so far.

Come on we need more BFP's i get so excited x

justshaggy · 09/05/2010 21:09

I have a problem ladies. I have never before used more than 10 sticks in a cycle, so normally manage to get one box of sticks to last two cycles. I started on the second half of my box this cycle and so far have used 9, with only one left. And no peak in sight despite the fact I usually ovulate on CD15 and today is CD17 (although I do have EWCM and have had four highs so far).

What do I do if I need to use more sticks?

Do I start a new box even though they say don't mix batches?

And at what point does one assume an anovulatory cycle??

cyncan · 10/05/2010 00:22

Ladies!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just wanted to stop by to let you know that yesterday 18 DPO, I finally got my BFP!!! One year of insisting and insisting, it finally came!! To all of you trying, I wasn't ovulating every cicle, and the cicles I did ovulate, I didn't have a lot of CM. I would highly highly recommend you ladies get preseed. I think that is what the difference was this time around. I still can't believe this. It is still very early, but we are very excited!

As one of the oldest members in this forum, I have finally graduated!

Baby dust to all, keep the hopes up!!!

Keziahhopes · 10/05/2010 01:51

ooh - 2 great pieces of news - congrats cyncan

  • and yes preseed is something I use now! Great to hear positives and to renew hope!
vnewmummy · 10/05/2010 06:54

Cyncan - well done, really happy for you. Wishing you all the best, take it easy.

Do you mind me asking what preseed is? Thanks

Just Shaggy - open another packet if it asks for more than 10 sticks this month. The more inf it can take the better.

cupc4kes · 10/05/2010 08:57

Congrats cyncan xxxx

vnewmummy Preseed is a lubricant its in a vial that you insert you can get it from all the baby sites saying that though I dunno whether it comes in any other form. I didnt use it this time around but I did use it with my 1st and it worked

CONGRATULATIONS Cyncan! You've convinced me; if I don't get my BFP this cycle I will be trying Preseed ... worth a go. But hopefully, I won't have to buy it, fx!

Angelgirl79 · 10/05/2010 10:02

Congratulations cupcakes Im delighted for you - you got ur BFP exactly 1 month after mine!!

Congratulation Cyncan - brilliant news!!

Its so lovely to see more BFP's on the thread - fingers crossed for the rest of you lovely ladies.

I stopped by and was so pleased to read the news but was wanting to post some more info that may help.

I had an early scan yesterday and by my calcs i thought i was 8 wks 2 days but measured at 8 wks 5 days - on these calcs it looks like I conceived on either the high the day before the first peak or on first peak day itself. I think then bding every other day from first high should give best chance or every day if got the stamina lol

Sending you all my best wishes and luck xxx
