Thought I'd get a new thread started as we seem to have run out of space

Let's hope this one brings us all lots of luck!

Boba, might be just stress. I remember having the odd 60 day cycle when I was a student studying for big exams and in one particular job I did where I had to work to really tight deadlines.

First day of poas for me today. Got a low this morning but we are trying to bd every other day regardless. Had a day at the spa yesterday so feeling all refreshed and relaxed. Going to try to stay stress free this cycle.

Welcome, Taytotayto and babybutterfly. babybutterfly, it might be worth going to Drs just to check your hormone levels if your periods are always erratic. Is that quite common with endometriosis, though?

boba82 · 27/04/2010 14:20

Lychees I don't think so, I've actually been really stress free this cycle as had already made my mind up about going to GP and wasn't expecting to get a BFP at all. also found the CBFM calmed me down a lot. Just can't believe it's CD50 already and nothing!

When do you get your test results?

cupc4kes · 27/04/2010 15:54

keziah

Youve put my mind at rest a little knowing that it could just be a blip.AF is due 5th May so she what happens hopefully it will be a BFP and I wont have to find out, lol. Tested again today still high. We have still been b'ding but not as much as normal this month. I mean I really should be in my 2ww now but who knows what our bodies get upto

Lychees · 27/04/2010 16:22

Might just be a weird month, a one-off, Boba. I have my 21 day bloods on 7th May so won't be going to my GP for results until after 14th May. And hubby hasn't had his test yet. He wants to do it after my peak this month.

Hope you get your peak soon cupc4kes.

BabyHoping · 27/04/2010 16:55

Boba Did you have any symptoms during this cycle? Do you at least feel AF is coming? I´ve had very long cycles but always due to stress or changes (like for instance when you travel your cycles can change)... It might be that this month you did not ovulate and that your hormones did not trigger AF yet... Hope it comes soon so that you can start a new cycle!

Lychees, I would love to stay stress free with you this month... It´s true that the monitor has given me a sense of control and in a way it has calm me down (at least I know when AF is due and when I ovulate...) but the 2ww period is always really hard on me... Also, it has been a quite stressful time at work, I´ve been working a lot and also trying to manage to avoid travelling as I keep on beeing asked to do projects between 2-3 months in other countries...

Nanny any news for you? I´m still high...

boba82 · 28/04/2010 11:45

Thanks Baby, yeah I've had all PMS symptoms since CD28! Think my hormones are all over place though as my face is like a pizza this month. Have POAS every other week just in case but BFN every time. Don't think I did ovulate as no peak on CBFM, just hope it doesn't blow up now it's past CD50!!

Nanny01 · 29/04/2010 08:25

Hi everyone have'nt been around here much nothing to tell another month of lows, can't believe it. I am not even going to test this month. Last month af came on day 25 so only a few more days. Thanks BabyHoping for asking. I am sure I am doing things right, dh andI are so glad we have the other 4 and we arn't starting out with no1 now. Really fed up this week.

vnewmummy · 29/04/2010 09:18

Hi,

I am off on holiday tomorrow so thought I would test this morning although it is a bit early, BFN again. I have PMT so dont expect it to change in next 4-6 days.

So it looks like even the clomid didnt work too well. Will try again next month. Gosh its hard.

Take care everyone.

xx

Sorry you're feeling down, Nanny. Sending a virtual hug.

Sorry about BFN, vnewmummy. Could still be too early and PMS might not just be a sign of AF coming.

Still on lows today so nothing to report. Although, keeping stress free has gone out of the window ... DS is going through a temper tantrum phase.

Boos75 · 29/04/2010 19:32

Hi,

Hope you don't mind me jumping on your thread but I wanted to ask your advice. Do you recommend the Clear Blue Monitor over the Clear Blue sticks? I guess you do given the name of the thread but any feedback you have would be great.

My DH and I are ttc - no children yet but I had a mmc in January after getting pregnant on my second cycle off the pill. So, whilst we felt devasted about the loss we at least figured we had been lucky to fall pregnant so quickly. However, now three cycles after my ERPC and AF has arrived today so am thinking we need to try another strategy (I had been using the CB sticks).

Any thoughts would be welcome x

cupc4kes · 29/04/2010 21:41

hi boo

With any OV tests Ive tried I could never tell whether it was a high or a low I mean that proberly was just due to the sticks I was using but I do prefer the monitor it gives you those few extra days as well to try.

Well Im still coming up with highs and AF is due next week so I have no idea what is happening so I find it very doubtful that I will get my BFP this month

Missyraines · 30/04/2010 07:31

Hi all

I'm working away this month (Spain) but am happy to report I got two peaks this month. One on CD 14 and one on 15. I was at the airport with work people (mostly male)so nipped into the loo at arrivals when I had my luggage, poas, then shoved the machine in my handbag. I looked when I was in the back of the hire car and smiled. I couldn't have done it the other end as I was up at 0330 for my flight and I didn't want to carry it in my hand luggage as didn't want to have to explain myself in front of strangers.

We'd done the deed the day before so that sounds the right time.

I was worried I wasn't ovulating as didn't get a peak last month. But that was my first cycle on cbfm.

Anyway day 17 today and back to low but have found some free internet so thought Id report in. Am back home on Mon.

Fingers crossed!

Boos75 · 30/04/2010 09:09

Thanks very much for your response cupc4kes. I shall invest in one this weekend!

Morning ladies.

Welcome Boos post your stats when you get your monitor and we'll add you to list.

Good luck missy keeping FX for you too!

Lychees · 30/04/2010 13:06

Hi Boos, I would definitely recommend the CBFM as I don't have to keep track of what cycle day I'm on ... don't know about you but I have enough on my plate without having to remember that.

Good luck for this month, missy.

Hey Cupc4kes, there is still time, perhaps you're on a longer than usual cycle this month. Hope you get a peak soon.

I'm still on lows today and stressed out at work. Thank goodness for the long weekend.

CD13 for me and still getting lows. I got no highs last cycle but suddenly got my first peak on CD15. I am wondering if that will happen again or whether I'm going to have a long cycle this time because I have already been fairly stressed. So much for trying to be stress-free .

Also do you think its a problem if I don't get highs? I'm wondering if it means that I have hormone issues. Guess I'll soon find out once I have my next set of bloods and get the results.

How is everyone else doing? How are things, Boba?

On another note, has anyone ever tried any alternative therapies? My SIL swore that she got pregnant last time because of acupuncture. Also when I had my massage on Monday, the therapist used oils that were meant to help balance female hormones [can't remember what it had in it, though ].

Nanny01 · 03/05/2010 13:41

Hi Lychees I have had 2 months with the monitor showing no highs or peaks. Am wondering if to continue with it. I am wondering if I am ovulating at all. I have 3 months to concieve before we have to put things on hold I did get good readings with it before so don't know what is going on.

Hi all, how is everyone?

I've had a busy weekend as got a wee kitten on Friday so have become a 'mum' of sorts. Has actually really taken my mind off everything.

Hi lychees I get reflexology every week and am thinking of going for acupuncture soon. My ovaries always come up on reflexology, not as a big problem always just a wee bit. Good relaxation if nothing else!

Got a letter through from fertility clinic on Sat with questionaire to fill in & return then a 12 week wait so things moving a LOT quicker than we expected which is good.

I wouldn't worry to much, at least you are getting peaks which surely means you're ovulating? As you say you'll find out soon enough.

I can't wait for mine, 4 days and counting. DH will hopefully get his results tomorrow.

Nanny I would continue with it whilst you're still trying as it is quite a good way to monitor cycle. FX for you you get a change on it soon.

Lychees · 03/05/2010 22:29

Evening,

Nanny, sorry that you have not been getting highs or peaks, fingers crossed that you do get them in your next cycles.

Boba, since my massage, I have begun to wonder about the benefits of non-medical treatments. I felt incredibly relaxed after it and slept so well. I have always been a bit of a cynic about these things in the past but now, I'm starting to think maybe there is something to these "alternatives".

I finally got my first high today and we are trying to continue with bd'ing every other/few days until after my peak days ... that's if we have enough energy to last that long.

Hi All

Well altogether I know I had 16 days of highs after this I stopped testing as Im doubtful I got a peak this month so now just waiting for AF should be here in the next couple of days had a couple of twinges so sure its on way.

So hows everyone else today???

Lychees · 04/05/2010 14:05

I'm okay thanks, cupc4kes. Sorry that you didn't get your peak this cycle. Are you sure you're not pregnant as I believe, you just get highs if you are ... just a thought.

I'm on my second high today. Expecting a peak very soon if my previous CBFM cycles are anything to go by. Back at work today ... bank holiday weekends are too short .
