Hardly the most original title but I didn't want to loose anyone (well that's my excuse for the lack of originality!)

Evening all

meita you are a gem - now i feel caught up with everyone, even smelly mrsr (lmao at that one). still raises a smile for me every time i see that bottom line on the grads.

effalump and sam123 - welcome seems like there are a few and with some really sad stories, makes me feel bad that i moan when i have ds and i can only imagine how much worse it would be if I was TTC dc #1. Sorry for what you are all going through and hope we can all be of some help here. If anyone wants adding to the list post details and someone will do it.

Have informed dh that we are going to eat, drink and be merry over christmas and then shag like rabbits in the new year, doesn't bode well for this month given we will be in france, land of mega not conception friendly cheese, wine, coffee and seafood but you never know, maybe a drunken fumble on boxing day will yield some results!! But from first post xmas cycle we will be getting back in the saddle so to speak.

boodle know where you are, i was there month before last, was soooooo sure and then soooooooooo disappointed. its a bunch of shite.

have updated list and looks like we are waiting for news from lee, jollster and barrenbrook ... any news

also tigger and tiger and cake all been very quiet of late - hope you are all doing ok and just busy in the whole manic christmas shenanigins.

Evening

We had sex last night so I'm looking forward to the next 2 off.

DS is supposed to start nursery tomorrow, but I've decided to not put him in, I'm not ready to lose him yet. I don't want someone else looking after him and getting all the good bits that should be mine. He hasn't said any words yet or walked and I just know the moment he's in nursery he'll say them there.

He's also got the MMR jab tomorrow. Still feel a bit weird about it but it's been proven in doesn't lead to autism.

It's okay boodleboot, neither myself or DH are enjoying it either. DH just keeps saying he can't wait until I'm pregnant and I imagine if an when I am that he'll be so happy - because he won't have to have sex with me for another year give or take.

sunburntats and louisesh I'm so sorry.

Currently eating my way through a box of After Eights.

LeeWT · 16/12/2009 22:26

hi all

cheepz i know what you mean everytime i see meita its all good

sorry sunburn what an awful experience.. hope you are ok and your OH looking after you now..

Well AF got me today but as you all know I am quite happy to be got.. I felt extremely tired this morning so thought here goes time to get a test so bought it, peed on it, and two mins later there was AF what a waste of £6!! Tbh it made a nice change not to be desperately hoping and actually DH and I have been enjoying sex, lots of, non-BD-sex so as Cheepz so rightly said, I'm going to enjoy Xmas, enjoy my 30th birthday party and then bunny it up in the new year when i will sincerely be as crazy as i ever was on the 2ww!

thinking of you all and sending babydust your way!

Hiya, went for my re scan yesterday, everything gone as I thought, was told to do a pregnancy test in two weeks, and to wait two cycles before trying again, which I wont be doing! I do feel a bit of a fraud, reading what some of you ladies have been, or are going through, this wasnt my 1st mc, it was my 4th, but I have got 4 dc, my mc are spaced quite far apart, my last baby was a suprise, with a gap of 12 years between him and my dd,(had two mc after she was born) Which prompted us to want another, and how I found myself here.

barrenbrook · 17/12/2009 10:33

hello to the newbies, sorry you are here, but nice to meet you I must apologise in advance for the next part of my post!

Excuse my language but BOLLOCKS! Again. AF showed up 3 days early, slight consolation being that there was no spotting beforehand. I'm well and truly over it. This whole lark is getting right on my tits!

tigerbear · 17/12/2009 15:13

Cheepz (waves frantically!)* - I've been here, didn't you see me? I was going on about my fab new I-period app on the i-phone. It makes me feel like I'm getting more 'official' about the whole process by having it!
Same as when I started taking the omega and folic acid tablets - it was almost like by taking the tablets, I was more likely to conceived, as it was more OFFICIAL! .

I'm really hoping we managed to do it on the right day this month - now on 2 ww.

leewt, hohohojollster and barrenbrook I'm sorry AF has arrived .

effilump you shouldn't feel like a fraud, a loss is a loss no matter how many or how few a person has.

tigerbear I'm so jealous of your iphone and iperiod app . I'm waiting for Vodafone to release the iphone 3gs. And I'm on the 2WW too. Fingers crossed for a Christmas BFP. Good luck.

Okay so today's symptoms include:

  • Increased peeing;
  • Runny/stuffy nose;
  • Gassy/bloated feeling in my abdomen;
  • Feeling sick every now and then (very odd because with my previous pregnancies I didn't have this - maybe I'm pregnant with twins);
  • a niggily feeling to the lower left abdomen.

DH thinks I'm a muppet, setting myself up for a big fall. He's probably right. I'm absolutely convinced I'm pregnant. Oh dear.

Ah and DS didn't have his MMR jab today - apparently there needs to be a period of at least 4 weeks inbetween injections. So, I put him in nursery for an hour . As soon as I walked through the door the staff took him off me and told me to walk away. Well I cried all the way home and I was watching the clock and checking my phone for the whole hour. The entire time my legs felt jelly like. Then when I picked him up, they said he'd been brilliant - hadn't cried the entire time and had sat playing with the other 3 children (who luckily for him were girls). It took me almost a minute to reconise which child was mine, he looked different and when we got home he completely ignored me. Wouldn't kiss or cuddle me or come anywhere near - that really killed me. I don't think I can take that everytime I pick him up from nursery. About an hour after I fed him (when he was tired) he finally came to me for cuddles and kisses and we sat down and watched In The Night Garden.

Apparently, he did so well that he doesn't need to go back in to nursery until next Tuesday 9am-11am, so I get to have him all to myself for the next 4 days . No doubt I'll be on MN during those hours on Tuesday. What I'm doing feels wrong and against every instinct in my body, but I've got no choice for now.

Oh god I'm crying.

That's it, I'm going to make DS's milk and go to bed.

Goodnight everyone.

Effilump · 18/12/2009 10:27

Hi ladies x

Hope you're all well. I haven't been on here in ages and realised when I decided to come and say "hi and here I go again", that I'm not sure you guys were aware that things didn't work out for me and DH with our last lovely baby.

We lost her (for she was a girl) on 5th Nov at 13 weeks after she was found at the scan to have Turner's Syndrome. This was eight days before our wedding, so as you can imagine, it's been a rollercoaster of a month.

But DH and I are getting there and despite the fact that we've lost two babies in the space of five months, feel like we may be ready to try again - third time lucky, right?

So here I am. Ready to have my hand held, to share the joys of positive thinking and to offload when I hear another friend tell me that I "really ought to take some time out from all this baby business". Idiots.

Viv x

ps - yay and big congrats to those of you who've graduated since I was last here. Hope you're all doing fantastically x

Cheepz · 18/12/2009 23:14

viv [cheepzheartgoesout} sorry to see you again...

you are sounding very brave. being on this thread for so long has given me a wonderful insight into just how strong us women are with the things we have to deal with, frequently alone, and often while managing a bazillion other things at the same time.

you all inspire me

xx

boodleboot · 19/12/2009 10:37

hello my lovelies....viv mega gutted you are back but lovely to see you. Lets get you pregnant again shall we...

i am still feeling a bit TBH but the christmassy feelings are rooting a little bit and i am getting excited for the kids and that makes me excited for my little family so am not going to stress out in the run up about what i don't have..I AM SO BLESSED..Re me and DH and our delightful BD {have only gone and started bloody enjoying it....sorry mrsR} going for the every other day approach means less onus on me to check for all my symptoms and get wound up....have not bought internet cheapies and do NOOOOOTTTT intend to, neaerly lost my mind last month....

Meita · 19/12/2009 11:23

Oh viv so very sad to hear that. That is so heartbreaking. I wish there was something I could do.

So many "graduates" from this thread have returned. Lee and Boodle, MrsRigby, Louise, and now you Viv. It makes me want to weep.

Wishing you all the best of luck. I hope you all get pregnant quickly and that it turns out to be a healthy pregnancy next time. Big hugs all round.

applesaretheonlyfruit · 19/12/2009 14:09

Hi everyone,

I am currently in Ashford, snowed in and waiting to get the eurotunnel back to France. Decided to wait it out at the hotel as I don't fancy a 12 hour wait on the motorway.

Contrats Meita!!! We finally got there - and hope beans stay. I'm sorry that others are having such bad luck. I have been there and it is horrible.

My news. Went to Ashford Hospital for a scan on Thursday at 7w3d. Not feeling THAT pregnant, just a bit queasy and enormous boobs. To start with I was very negative, just waiting to get it over with so I could KNOW it was not going to happen. The radiographer asked if her trainee could do the scan and I said, why not, as it couldn't make any difference. Anyway, she found a baby, with a heartbeat. This is good. The growth measurements gave a 7w3d size, which was good. Fast heartbeat, which I was worried about because my last mmc baby had a heartbeat, but too slow.

Then, all of sudden, the radiographer taps her trainee on the shoulder and says, I'll take over now. I immediately thought, she has found a problem with the sac or something else, and was waiting for the bad news. A few long minutes later she turns to me and says, "it's okay, I was just checking the other baby, and that baby is fine too".

So, I have TWINS, with heartbeats, the right size and currently fine. But obviously it could still go horribly wrong.

Did I mention I was having TWINS??

applesaretheonlyfruit · 19/12/2009 14:13

And I'm 41 in two weeks..

chamoiscreased · 19/12/2009 15:52

apples
Fantastic news!

Meita · 19/12/2009 16:32

apples aww, you must be feeling a bit shocked! But I'm so glad it's good news over all!

Fingers crossed that it stays that way!

Ohhh with the senior person saying "I'll take over now" I would probably have fainted or something. You must have been so relieved - amidst the shock of it - when she said TWINS. Go you! :0

LeeWT · 19/12/2009 16:39

Oh what sad and amazing news all at one time..

viv you poor sweetheart my heart breaks for you that must have been so awful and your wedding so soon after. Well done for getting through and we are all here to hold your hand..

apples oh my god!!!!!!!! That's incredible I've
got severe twin envy I want some!! ;-) oh can't wait to hear all about every step so delighted I gasped "oh apples" and dh seemed bit confused like he thought I'd finally lost it!

Xxxxx

Sarahlou8 · 19/12/2009 18:48

Hi,

I just wanted to say Hi to viv, I was on the 'due May 2010' thread with you and I lost my baby on 17th November at 15 weeks.

I am tentatively dipping into this thread, I hope nobody minds. I don't really know where I belong anymore.

We started trying again straight away but AF arrived this morning which has made me feel a bitbut hopefully we will have a brighter new year.

Looking forward to getting to know you all xx

MrsRigby · 19/12/2009 21:58

Evening

applesaretheonlyfruit congratulations again . I'm so jealous that your having twins .

sarahlou8 I also miscarried on the 17th November . Good luck, I've got my fingers crossed for you.

boodleboot stop enjoying the BD. Your not supposed to enjoy it .

Well I'm so convinced that I'm pregnant that I took a sneeky pregnancy test this morning (DH doesn't know) - BFN. Maybe I tested too early or maybe I'm going to look very silly if and when AF decides to make an appearance.

So today's symptoms include:

  • feeling queezy this morning;
  • extremely dizzy this morning (I was dizzy whilst lying in bed) and most of the day;
  • heavy/gassy feeling in the abdomen;
  • peeing more than usual;
  • nasal stuffyness/runny nose.

I'm buggered if I know anymore. What I do know is that I have 4 more pregnancy tests left in the knicker drawer (don't know why the feck I have one as I don't wear them) and I'm not intending to use another one until Christmas Day.

Considering I have PCOS and this is the first month after having a miscarriage, I think I'm asking a bit much. But the queezyness and sickness this morning really had me convinced.

Right thats it I'm going to completely ignore every little symptom. If I get pregnant, I get pregnant. If I don't get pregnant, I'll have fertility treatment then try adoption and failing that I'll just buy one from Africa - isn't that how babies are made these days?

Oh forgot to tell you about the cervical mucus - it's all over the place. Each day it decides to do a different thing. According to the cervical mucus I've been fertile half of this month.

I give up.

I want a baby...now.

louisesh · 20/12/2009 10:05

Morning all.

Sorry to VIV its crap isn t it? Nice to "meet" you though!!!!

Congrate APPLES glad you ve published your age as i ve just turned 39 and quite often feel my age is against me!!!!

Hi MEITA hope you re well....

Hi BOODLE and MRS R

HiSARAHLOU8 hugs to you we ve all been through a whole pile of crap as well soo can empathise with you xx

I m having some issues to deal with!!!! Me and DH fallen out since last wed the stress of ttc BD after 2 years is getting to us.We were going to try to BD last wed and DH said the same but before work we go to the gym then work, then thought we ll have a bit before tea oh no "too tired" then when we go to bed "oh too tired again" !!!!! Me left upset again and frustrated DH piss*d off!!!!
As DH is nearly 39 his libdo has tailed off slighty where as im approaching my sexual peak [i ll be 40 next year] our wants/needs are clashing.[its hime thats too tired}

We ve tried the approach of non ttc BD [every 2-3 days]but realistically doesn t work as again DH , if i don t instigate it, can go 2 weeks without wanting sex....We ve tried "help" like "natural" viagra but the lack of libdo is in his head not elsewhere!!!!

Pardon the pun: but its soo hard to be "jollying" our sex life up all the time soo at the moment feel very distant towards him Also think what is the point in me TTC again just to MC again , if we haven t yet seen anyone about our chromosome problem....

Sorry for long post, all these thoughts going round in my head and need to vent them.Also another bugbear at present 1 of my colleagues her 18 yr old daughter pg,due in march and i m finding i don t want to hear about it.Shes had problems like bleeding but all ok and i m just sick of hearing these people who always fear the worst but are always ok...where as i m always thinking i ll be ok and the worst has happened 3X!!!

This 18 yr old has crap bf ,don t have own home etc.....you know the story but she ll be fine as people like that always are....Where as me and Dh Have done everything "correctly" to no avail....own home, good jobs would provide finicially for own child etc.......If i known it was going to be like this i d have got myself "knocked" up 20 years ago by an unknown and not got myself a career!!!

Sorry realise my post is a bit "mangy" Just have to "vent" hope my post doesn t depress you all

On the plus side our xmas tree is up yeh!!!! We have a lovely black tree and each year we finally put it up i remember how much i like it!!!!We also got some new tree decorations from Bruges and Maceys in New York, i like reminders from travels ....

Thanks everyone on here for understanding where i m coming from and listening as i only say bits of this to friends in RL as unless you ve been there you can t possibly understand.....

MrsRigby · 20/12/2009 12:42

Just thought I'd check in whilst pooing in the downstairs toilet.

DH has just told me to stop what I'm doing and get out as we're about to meet some friends now.
