Hi folks,

I was pregnant but...

I was a graduate on March's bus for 12th July but...

i just did a digital test which came up with "not pregnant" altho i did one a few days ago that said preg 1-2wks. I have been testing everyday and BFP tests were getting stronger slightly but this morning it was lighter than yesterdays.Af was due tues which never appeared.

I am now prepared for the loss and am awaiting mc/bleeding/AF to arrive. I guess its best it happens now rather than days, weeks or months down the line.

Can i join this bus for support and as i will prob be ttc again soon?

Im in limbo waiting around to see what happens, its not an easy time. I hope my body does the right thing.

Looby x

Hello,

Just poking my head in..

Sweetkitty! [waving]

Thinking I may be pregnant. Have sore boobs, stomach cramps, lower back pain, hot flushs, dizzy spells.. All the same as with DD (almost a year)

Trouble is No idea about when AF is due. Cant for the life of me remember when I was last on, so idea if im late, due or what
So not sure when to test either.

We had intended to try again the end of the year so this has been abit unexpected.

nanoo · 16/07/2009 11:30

Oh Lou, what a mare. So sorry to hear - and after everything you've been through...being sick, the antibiotics, then the growing BFP line, I really thought you were on your way :-( But we're all still here (Teenycalls is here - renamed as TeaFan!), and New Member, BettyMum, NancyPreg - all from the March bus - so please do join us and I'm sure there's heaps of baby dust around too....x

nanoo · 16/07/2009 11:34

PS I was on a bus a few months ago - I think the Nov 2009 bus - and someone mentioned an article about eating baked potatoes because they're full of the vitamins (B?) you need for conception. Anyone else got ideas about what we should be eating to give us the best chances...?

TeaFan · 16/07/2009 11:34

Oh Looby, i'm so sorry to hear that things are looking uncertain at the moment (Big hug emoticon). Come and sit at the back of the bus with me and i'll put the kettle on.

Got to the bottom of last month's phantom pg - turns out it was because of the steroids I was on which have a similar effect to estrogen. That is what caused the swollen breasts, sore nipples and stopped progesterone thickening hence late AF. Wish GP had warned me, I told him was TTC when he prescribed them Hopefully back to normal for this cycle though.

TeaFan (previously teenycalls)

TeaFan · 16/07/2009 11:38

pigleychez, hello! Why don't you do a digital test, then if it is a BFP it will tell you how far along you are? Since i've been 'on the busses' can't imagine not knowing which cycle day i'm on lol!

Let us know what happens...

TeaFan · 16/07/2009 11:43

Nanoo i've no idea what i'm meant to be eating, only found out about Folic Acid a few weeks ago am taking it now though...think i've heard mention of a special getting preg supplement you can take but there seems to be so much advice about what you shouldn't eat no-one ever mentions what you should be! Good idea for a topic, might scour the net to see if I can find a contribution!

Bettymum · 16/07/2009 11:59

nanoo haven't heard about the baked potatoes before
I am swigging grapefruit juice every morning with breakfast but can't say I've noticed anything different, apparently it's supposed to help increase EWCM. I guess the vitamin C is good for me anyway!

LoobyLou82 · 16/07/2009 12:42

Thanks guys for your kind comments! Hello to all the March bus people who i have previously spoke to.

teenycalls nice to hear from you again. I will sit happily at the back of the bus and just observe until something more definate happens.

I am getting really sore boobs today tho so surely that is a good preg sign that things are ok, but god im all over the place. sticky wishes are greatly needed. I should just be greatful i am preg and should just treasure everyday i am no matter the outcome, so im gonna hang around this bus drink some tea and just chill. Maybe the lucky vibes will help my growing baby suddenly grow more rapidly and give it some needed energy to thrive.

Lx

Ladylou83 · 16/07/2009 22:45

Ok....So Im on day 17.....what is the earliest that I could do a test, and which test would be the best to try? DH keeps telling me to not think about it, what will be will be etc, but really want to know.....

Hope everyone is feeling lucky vibes still x

ilove2shop · 16/07/2009 23:01

Aww Ladylou83... BIG STICKY WISHES SENDING YOUR WAY, hope everything turns out ok and there just false alarms, keeping everything cross for you xxxxxxxxx

Ive now been on to FF website - those graphs are confusing! But after a few temping cycles ill get used to it!!

Went for my coloscopy check up - i have the all clear after some cells being taken away at christmas, i asked the doc about been trying for 7 mths and she said after 6mths of trying you should make an appointment to get checked out... i thought it was a year... what does everyone think? Too early to go to docs?

I'm keeping everything crossed for you Looby how are things today?

LadyLou put the pea stick down and step away from the 2ww madness . When did you ovulate? I don't think i've come across anyone that has had a BFP at less than 10 DPO and most people take alot longer to show up. I would wait as long as possible cos, quite frankly, a BFN is very bad for morale.

ilove2shop, I think that is a very personal thing and I think the rules differ from GP to GP and depending on your medical history. I know a few people that have gone earlier than 1 year and have been told to wait. Sorry if that's not much help - very good news that you have the all clear though

CD11 here and bought a 7 pack of OPKs to find out when I OV and how long my LP is, not sure about BDing on demand but it might help give us a 'window' for future cycles

Beanmum Me too, I think. Sucky, isn't it?

Beanmum · 17/07/2009 11:04

Shit. Sorry she's got you too camel. At least I managed not to waste a test this time. Hey ho, at least I can get drunk have a civilised glass of wine at my work do this evening.

LoobyLou82 · 17/07/2009 11:20

Hi teaFan(teeny)

Things not great im afraid

I did a test yesterday that came back not preg (digital) and did my morning test as sual but hardly anything on it, not bearly a line. Im miscarrying I know it. It so hard because nothing is happening, lines getting fainter and fainter now but no bleeding has started. Im not sure what to do, there is not point going to dr i dont think as my body will just deal with it itself and the dc's here are insensitive and crap.

The thing about testing early is you find out your preg early and then if it does not work you have got attached so to everyone testing early please think about it. I wish i had not known i was preg and then had a late period. The plus side is that i already have two wonderful little boys and this is my second mc so i do know i can have healthy little people

In the future i will not test early and by the time my period is due then i will have a strong positive by then. I am just sitting around knowing my little egg is dying or died and waiting for my body to catch up and deal with it naturally. Im sorry folks if i sound too depressing just a hard time at the mo... The positive is that i can have fun ttc again. (trying to find a +ve is very hard)

Anyway good luck to everyone else and i hope that others do not have to go thru this too (hug emoticon) Lx

LoobyLou82 · 17/07/2009 11:26

...another thing its 2 years today since i last miscarried and im going thru it all again! Im just not destined to fall preg July and have a baby in March of any year xxx

idealcamel · 17/07/2009 11:33

LoobyLou I'm so sorry - what a horrible thing to be happening. Shame that your drs are crap, too. Think you're really right about testing early.

I'm sure you'll find a positive, just give yourself time and don't be too hard on yourself for feeling sad.

Beanmum Hope you enjoy your drunken debauchery civilised drinky this evening.

skihorse · 17/07/2009 12:00

looby I mc'd very early last month - which is miserable and the WORST thing anyone said to me was "oh you were very early, lots of women wouldn't have even known". I felt that disputed my grief - as though my baby wasn't worth mourning because it was so early. I felt it really patronising.

The "good" thing which came from my mc was that I now know I can conceive - and for me at 35, never previously pregnant, it's given me an enormous sense of hope.

One theory does not fit all!

Ladylou83 · 17/07/2009 12:02

Loobylou Sorry to hear what is happening. I hope ur feeling ok soon. Having read whats happened to you, I am now not going to test early. I really feel for you I agree with you, Drs can be so horrid to visit.

Ilovetoshop Pee sticks are now firmly put away. I agree with yourself and poor loobylou about testing early, BFN = low morale, and potential heartbreak. Im a little confused as to when exactly I ovulated. The BIG fats spots that broke out over my face and evil cramps would have suggested it was late last week, however based on the MN OV calender Im now hitting my fertile time at 16-21. I am offically confused.com!

Shall now have to train brain to stop thinking about dates, and just enjoying doing the BDtango.

LoobyLou82 · 17/07/2009 12:32

thanks you, thank you so much guys.

skihorse I feel your pain and i know fate works in funny ways. Yes for you you now know you can conceive which will have restored your faith in your body. Our bodies are the most amazing machines on this wonderful planet. The science of having a baby and just that feeling of acheivement when you hold your baby and know that you made them, ever tiny toe and every strand of hair is the greatest gift that we as women can posess. Our machines are very good at only giving us the best that we can acheive and for me my little failed egg/baby is just my body saing "Louise, you can do better and I will help you" My machine has made two gorgeous little boys and i need to focus on what it has acheived not what it has failed at. If one thing comes from this then it is the lesson not to test early and if by advising others not to do the same it has saved the heartache of just one other person then the pain i feel has been worth it.

Yes i understand the thought that its only early but it is painful. My husband does not fully understand it. I told him that im thinking rationally and I KNOW that the baby was only cells at this stage and that it was broke in some way but rational goes out the window when you have a bucketful of hormones added to the equation.

Anyway I prey that my suffering is over quickly and my AF starts soon so i can gather my energy and move forward and focus on ttc again.

Love to all and again thanks for your support and kind wishes.

Bettymum · 17/07/2009 13:02

Oh Louby,
Your post made me sad . I'm sending you my very best wishes. I hope things go OK for you over the weekend x

BTW am having to read posts very carefully now as I'm getting confused between LoubyLou and LadyLou! I think I can tell you apart now....
