It's understandable you're feeling a bit sorry for yourself, I know you say your cycles have always been regular but if they've only just come back could they be a little out of synch, especially with the added cold messing up your system?

sweetkitty · 25/07/2009 22:27

I know I am probably not pregnant I don't feel very pregnant jsut very pre menstrual. I shoulnd't complain to think that I could get pregnatn first month of trying four times in a row is quite conceited really, just with AF would hurry up so I can get on the opks next month and sort my cycle out.

JamieJay · 25/07/2009 22:42

I know totally what you mean, we started trying last christmas, I caught in April, miscarried in June and this is my first cycle back ttc and know I'm not pregnant as no real signs of ovulation and mega PMT today.

Feeling really low about it asit's my birthday next week and when we started I honest to god thought I'd be pregnant by my birthday even if it took a bit of time to catch.

It's natural to think you'd fall first time after doing so four times so not conceited.

Nothing helpful I can say but I do understand.

Ladylou83 · 25/07/2009 22:46

Confused.com today.....

Did test this morning...got 1 BFP and 1 BFN....????

Think overall its a BFN, as AF symptons persisting, and am convinced it was a dodgy test....

JamieJay · 25/07/2009 22:53

Well I've alwasy been told that you can have a false negative but not a false positive so I'd go with pregnant ladylou83, are you able to do another test tomorrow morning to be sure.

And remember that early pregnancy symptoms can be the same as AF!

A tenative congratulations and good luck for the next test

sweetkitty · 25/07/2009 23:10

Ladylou - which tests were you using? Echo what Jamiejay said do you have a test for tomorrow mornings first urine?

Jamiejay - I just want AF to hurry up and come so I can get back to CD1 and start again, I caught first month of TTC after a MC so hope you will be lucky too I'm the same as you though no signs of ovulation and raging PMT

tostaky · 26/07/2009 09:18

did you test sweetkitty? i think you should just to be sure!!
Crossing my fingers for you LadyLou

sweetkitty · 26/07/2009 09:22

yes tested this morning and BFN

Bloody body is playing tricks with me now double at least I didn't shell out for a CBD

Anyone else testing today then? ladylou ???

Sweetkitty boo for your BFN. It must be so frustrating, not really knowing what your cycle is doing...I hope things get back to normal for you soon.

Ladylou I hope you get the right result today!! Fingers crossed very tightly for a BFP....

Bettymamma · 26/07/2009 11:02

Mornin all

Ok i appear to have totally put the wrong cd date here and i'm only cd22 so i've changed it below. I'm a scatter brain!

Am just trying to catch up with you all - sweetkitty and ladylou, i don't mean to get any hopes up at all but i have 2 saved BFN's for both my dd's. (i've told my teenage cousins this and it scares them...)

Well done those with BFP's and good luck for next month those whose AF's arrived.

I had imagined symptoms a few days ago (heightened sense of smell, sore boobs, slight nausea) but all have totally faded away. Oh well. The joys of the ttc rollercoaster!

LeeWT · 26/07/2009 12:16

hi everyone i know there are other threads about this but is anyone using the CB ovulation thingy?

am thinking of buying it for the next cycle. i used cheapy ebay Ovulation tests and it only ever gave me line fainter than test line and took a while to come up so = confusing...

do you test on it every day? DH works a lot so need to target BDing bit better

NancyPreg · 26/07/2009 13:00

Lee I've only ever used the eBay cheapie tests but they do seem to work for me, hence no motivation to buy the CB version. I have a fairly regular cycle so I start using OPKs on about CD13 but I also use other body clues aswell (such as EWCM, cervical position and how randy I feel ). I usually test twice each day at about 11am and then again at about 6pm. I often have a couple of days where the line reaches about 25% of the test line (both in colour and width) but only after about 20 minutes has elapsed. However, this pattern then changes when my surge is detected...I dip the stick in a pot of wee and within 5-10 seconds, the line is darker and stronger than the test line. I usually get at least two consecutive tests that display the line in this way (sometimes three). There's no need to continue testing after the surge has been detected cos you'll just see the line fade to nothing (so a waste of tests!). I hope this helps but if you know your cycle and roughly when you ovulate, then just focus on lots of bd, regardless of whether the OPKs seem to work for you or not cos bd is the only thing that will get you pg anyway!

I've never temped, far too lazy for that, so have no advice on that score.

HTH!

sky27 · 26/07/2009 14:01

HI All, I'm TTC no1, 1st cycle after coming off cerazette, I'm having symptoms but as i'm at CD 21 it's too early to test.

Anyone have strange symptoms when coming off birth control?

Does anyone know how long it usually takes to conceive???

LeeWT · 26/07/2009 17:29

have been reading www.peeonastick.com and its very helpful!

lots of tests say you can get result as early as 6 days after conception but i #think# that by conception they mean the date that the embryo implants which is usually 8-10 days after you've done the deed. Long story short, if you are cd22 of a usual 28 day cycle and you use an early detection test you might get an accurate result..

i;m a serial tester and have decided that if i'm not pregnant this month I'm going to take every test i have out of the house and be strong... you're also setting yourself up to see a chemical preg..

hope that helps!

Mickbell · 26/07/2009 17:30

O ladies bad news BFN yesterday morning, and then this morning AF arrived with AVENGENCE 2 days early on CD26, my body is messed up!!!! I am definately imagining symptoms! going to try my hardest not to over analsye this month. Get blood results bnack this week also, they tested the levls of my progesterone etc, and then being refered to fertility clinic, but hopefully I get a BFP this month instead and don't have to go through anymore, although perhaps if i am given clomid or something it might help?! anyway heres hoping for this month! goodluck everyone!xo

macana · 26/07/2009 17:51

Lee WT: I was a serial tester too, even when I had AF because I convinced myself that if I was only very slightly pregnant, I'd still have a bleed. IN short, turned into complete psycho loony each month.

Sure enough, the month I had no tests in my cupboard, AF was 2 days late, which never happens, and when I bought one, had BFP which became DS!!!

Definitely learned my lesson not to have any tests in the house this time. I hope I can remain strong, V.tempting to get them, especially as they're on offer everywhere. Satan is trying to weaken my revolve!!

LeeWT · 26/07/2009 19:07

everyone I am going to make a bold statement that next month I am not allowed to take a test until cd30 .. All tests will be removed from the house and distraction tactics will be in full force .. Anyone with me?!?!

I actually took a test yesterday at cd 22 like what am I trying to do to myself

LeeWT · 26/07/2009 19:10

Oh and mbell sorry about your bfn.. At leAst if the witch has come early there's less time to wait to dance on the baby wagon again.. Best of luck x

NancyPreg · 26/07/2009 20:04

Lee yes, the POAS Website is very helpful , although it sounds as though you're not going to need it from now on....

Mickbell sorry af got you after getting a BFN...that's a double whammy and very unfair. But hope the results give you some valuable information this week...anything that can help with ttc will give you a boost. Do you want to stay on this bus or has the May bus departed already?

sky27 · 26/07/2009 22:21

thanks leeWT

I am sooo glad i'm not the only one, I have been testing every couple of days and have been symptom spotting for over a week.

Sorry Mickbell Good luck next month

Off to look at this POAS website

sweetkitty · 26/07/2009 22:24

I posted a big message and it didn't come up anyway fed up, bloated, sore throat cold and not pregnant [feeling sorry for myself but shouldn't be really emoticon]

Bettymamma · 27/07/2009 08:02

I feel so bad for almost mucking up the list yesterday that i'll carefully update it for this morning! It's not a bus anymore, it's more like a double decker train!

Sweetkitty -hope you are feeling better today.

mickbell - sorry to hear the AF arrived early. At least it removed the agonising wait. Good luck next month.

Macana and LeeWT - i'm liking your resistance against tests. I'm getting to the point in my cycle when i'm thinking of tests and i have none and for me to get them I have to go to a shop and speak a foreign language to get them. This definitely puts me off!

Hi Sky27 - i'm always symptom spotting. I have sore boobs and moodiness but heh that could be pmt!

Hope everyone is well.

Yeah I love this bus, does it not automatically just become a may bus?! just phoned for results, my progesterone etc came back normal, doctors notes say 'everything fine, no action.' I am taking that as a good sign, DH going to have some tests run also, hopefully they come back normal too, and its just a matter of carry on as we have been!!!I think I need to relax!

Bettymum · 27/07/2009 09:28

Morning Bettymama and everyone else! I think my stats are back to the right place .
Well, if AF doesn't come today I'll test tomorrow...oh, the waiting is dreadful. And it's POURING and cold here .
