Fantastic news Hoops, congratulations!

Sounds like we might have a few more BFPs over the nest few days too!

Well OV is finally over for me, which is a bloody relief to be honest! I really feel the pressure during my fertile 'window' and actually caught myself thinking 'I was much happier before all this TTC malarkey'...guess you just have to keep your eyes on the prize.

OV was CD 16 so won't test until at least 5 August.

Mickbell · 24/07/2009 09:02

Yes guess i could try waiting until Monday. I was tempted to test tomorrow as going to go out with a meal with some close friends if got BFP would tell them if got BFN would have a little tipple to commiserate. congratulations hoops you lucky thing!!

NancyPreg · 24/07/2009 09:03

Well done hoops and another lucky grad

Who will be next....

skihorse · 24/07/2009 09:07

Congrats hoops and tostaky.

I am now 29/26 which is very odd for me but tested yesterday and got BFN.

Bettymum · 24/07/2009 09:59

Congratulations hoops!
Have a lovely weekend everyone and good luck to anyone testing!

Ladylou83 · 24/07/2009 11:44

Congratulations hoops, fantastic news!

This is turning out to be a very lucky bus. Fingers crossed for everyone else

hoops997 · 24/07/2009 17:38

thanks everyone, lets hope we have lots more BFP's over this weekend........I am so terrified it's untrue, I have a doctors appointment on Tuesday just so I have someone to tell me everything is alright....I think I'm in for 8 months of paranoia and general madness!!!!!!

LeeWT · 24/07/2009 19:58

hi all, congrats on your brill news hoops!

who ever thought of the bus idea is a genius and its proving to be a lucky one!

can i just say that i am really annoyed at myself because i am having phantom symptoms all over the place - peeing to beat the band, exhausted, bad back, cramps etc and i am only CD20 so i know its impossible.

There was a week where during my MMC i had to wait and didnt know if the baby was going to develop a heartbeat or not. i developed loads of sudden symptoms which in retrospect was my mind playing tricks on me because the foetus had died weeks ago.

Now I'm petrified that i'm going to spend my time perpetually living the 2ww and developing phantom symptoms - any advice for how to prevent myself from doing this?

All help gratefully received - I'm the saddo at the front of the bus ;-)

Trying4Baby1 · 24/07/2009 20:52

AF arrived this morning! bloody gutted! Was hoping for an April baby as it would have been due a couple of days before our anniversary. Will just have to try harder next month!

LoobyLou82 · 24/07/2009 20:55

Hello folks, Im back! Been away for a few days and came back to see everyone. My last post was only a couple of days ago and it was about page 12! You guys have been busy.

Congrats for the BFP's folks. Im glad to return to good news for a change. Sorry about all the mc's tho. My mc bleeding has now stopped as of today so it was a 7 day bleed in all. Im feeling ok emotionally just now. Cant help but feel a wee bit jealous with everyones positive tests and things going well for folk (feel ashamed that i would be jealous of others having their preg go well )I am really happy for everyone tho too

Im not sure what to do folks any advice would be great. I wanted my baby i lost last week more than anything. I already have two ds's aged 2.5 yrs and 11 months. I saw a friend yesterday who has three kids and she advised me not to have another just yet and to wait a couple years and enjoy what i have. Now please dont slate me for saying this but we want three kids and i want a career i am a professional artist and i graduated from art school when i was 10 weeks preg with my first so i never made a go of it. I specialise in pet portraits.(if anyone is interested my webiste is www.louisejarvis.co.uk) Bang goes my confidentiality but hey if i get work out of it ! I want to do my art in the future and i want another baby but not sure if i should take the mc as a sign to wait as its not the right time just now and focus on my art. I have just got a few commissions through the last day or so. Im confused.com!

Help anyone? I worry about having another baby close to the other two incase i dont have enough to give them all the love they need. Ponders...

L x

ilove2shop · 24/07/2009 23:25

Congrats to those with BFP!!!

Lou - I dont think anyone can give you advice on whether or not to have another child, its such a personal thing and only you will know when that is right. There are many women out there that juggle a career and motherhood, no one says you have to pick one! And being self employed you will be able to fit your work around family life, work life balance and all that!! You will come to a decision in the next few months im sure, you may think that you are ok emotionally, but any loss is significant and it is bound to throw up many differnt fears, anxieties and make you question yourself. Good luck with what ever you decided, and what ever you do decide you can be assured it will be the right one for you xx
Ps no one will ever slate you on here!

Congrats on your BFP hoops997, hopefully there will be lots more over the weekend.

sweetkitty · 25/07/2009 08:28

Come on AF where are you? CD28 today usually I never get to CD28, I am going to try my hardest and not buy a CBD until Monday I have a funny feeling AF will not turn up and I will still have a BFN.

JamieJay · 25/07/2009 08:43

Major frustration sweetkitty, crossing everything that AF stays away and a BFP turns up.

I've woken up to PMT this morning (DH is already avoiding me and we've only been up an hour ) and the usual super inflated belly - god I hate water retention.

Good luck to everyone testing.

Mickbell have you resisted the lure of testing this morning??!! Here's hoping for you....

Trying aw that sucks but I've added your details to the end of the list...though not sure whether you'd be April or May next cycle?

Looby good that the bleeding has stopped cos now your body can start to right itself. As for ttc, it depends on so many factors but if you feel the time is right, then I would follow your feelings and just see what happens. There are so many ways of looking at it: you could delay ttc and get your career up and running (really lovely drawings on your Web site btw!) but then you might become so busy that you keep delaying ttc...alternatively, you could ttc now, succeed , get all four (five if you havce twins ) DC off to school and then revive your career?

Lee symptom spotting is so easy to do and very difficult to avoid...I can remember being prepped for my 2nd D&C and telling the doc that I still felt nauseous when I knew the pg had failed. All you can do during the 2ww is to keep as occupied as possible

There are lots of ladies at the very front of the bus now - good luck testers!

LoobyLou82 · 25/07/2009 11:07

Thanks nanc for your kind comments about my art work. Its always nice to get feedback.

I know your right, my art will always be there. My chance to have kids wont be...

I think we will try again but not pressurise it. I know what people are saying is also correct that i may feel fine inside having had the mc, but its my second of four pregnancies. I have had two healthy little boys but also 2 early mc's so it does question my body a little. I just have to make a point of noticing my body also knows what it is doing and the two that failed, well done body, for realising there was something wrong and they were not perfect like my wee boys!

I got really upset the other night so it is hurting a wee bit.

Good luck those testing, this does seem like a lucky bus. Just watch, i bet i end up preg this month again. I do want another baby and DH is desperate for me to as well, so i should prob listen to my heart and just do it...

LeeWT · 25/07/2009 13:47

hi all

lou - I've only had one mmc but i know how it can feel. ive got a beautiful wee girl and even so i stare at peoples newborns and fantasise about having twins (like wtf would i do if i actually did have twins!!) so only you know in your heart of hearts whats right for you.

At least art isnt a 9-5 and you can try and fit it around the kids and lets face it two kids are a handful and three kids are too so what diff.. maybe they'll keep each other amused!

go with your gut feeling in your heart because anything else wont make you happy...

nanci thanks for always responding to everyone's queries, fears and panics you must be a very kind person!

best of luck to all the testers!

TeaFan · 25/07/2009 16:25

Hi everyone, sorry to those that AF has got but I am still crossing my fingers for more BFPs!

Looby as the others have said it's a very personal thing that only you can decide but why not have the best of both worlds, you could say that you're not technically TTC but just having unprotected fun . This way if you fall pg it would be fate...

I am surprisingly unstressed considering i'm into the 2ww, I feel so sure that i'm not pg this month that i'm going to indulge in voddy & coke this evening it's nice to feel relaxed about it all for once

dani87 · 25/07/2009 16:39

hi just got my 3rd bfp after trying 4 6months after a mc so fingers crossed this 1 goes ok! gud luck 2 all those ttc hopefully bfp 4 u all fingers crossed from me

NancyPreg · 25/07/2009 17:03

'...you must be a very kind person!'

How kind of you to say . The way I see it, is that I've got a bunch of ttc/pg experience and if I can put some of it to use, then that is a good outcome from having had mcs!

Looby your bfp will come! Judging from your drawings, you are a very talented lady so I'm sure your career will take off when you do get the chance to pursue it properly.

dani congratulations!

LeeWT · 25/07/2009 18:23

well when you are obsessing with something all you want is someone to answer your questions ;)

Nancy are you very self-controlled or is it not time for you to test? :-)

NancyPreg · 25/07/2009 19:46

Lee no, not time for me to test cos I think I ovulated very late this month, so perhaps by the end of next week I will test...but only, of course, if af doesn't get me first .....

On the other hand, I think the testing pressure must surely be on shopna, skihorse, LOM, Sweetkitty, missiek and Bettymum

sweetkitty · 25/07/2009 21:37

Still no AF and still not tested kind of scared to, if it's BFN like I suspect then what is going on with my body.

I have never had cycles longer than 27 days always like clockwork AF would turn up practically on the hour it was due. So last month was first AF post DD3, proper AF DD3 is 11 month and BFing kept it away, have since reduced BFing dramatically to 2-3 feeds a day from 5-6 feeds at least especially during the night, DD3 is now sleeping through the night most days she is getting 2 feeds now.

So in summary I'm either
a) totally messed up cycle wise due to BFing and haven't OVed as I suspect or having an AF this month, when I will have another who knows
b) AF is late due to the stress of MIL's death
c) pregnant

bloody hell it's never easy is it???!!!

JamieJay · 25/07/2009 21:45

sweetkitty ttc is a bitch isn't it, and the more we worry about AF not arriving the longer she stays away. I hope you do get some answers soon.

Might be an idea to test if AF hasn't turned up by Wednesday-ish, I know how totally demoralising a BFH is it could always be a BFP you know!

sweetkitty · 25/07/2009 22:05

AF has never been late ever well apart from the 4 times when it was late and I was pregnant, if I spend the money on a CBD for it to come up NOT PREGNANT YOU STUPID BINT I will be very unhappy, especially as I have been pre menstrual for days now and have a stinking cold/sore throat combo am feeing a bit sorry for myself
