sorry for the me, me, me post just finding the whole ttc thing a bit draining today, hope everyone else is doing better.

TeaFan · 22/07/2009 19:42

Chin up JamieJay, there is always next month, your body is just doing what it needs to i'm sure. And there is always a chance you did OV. (Hug)

NewMember · 22/07/2009 20:04

Hi Ladies ...

Thought I would just stop by and say hello!

Day 12 for me (i think) so I am due to OV any day! Feeling a little more relaxed about TTC - taking each day as it comes!

Time will tell ... hope u r all well

JamieJay · 22/07/2009 20:29

Thanks TeaFan, I know I'm wallowing and being overly pessimistic, this ttc malarky gets to me some times. Hope you've been able to jump DH enough!

Welcome NewMember, you've got the best approach to ttc!

macana · 22/07/2009 20:42

Hi everyone,
Hope you don't mind me joining.

We are TTC starting this month. We have a DS of 9 months, and I'm hoping the fact we have him will stop me becoming "Crazy ttc woman" I turned into last time! I was doing pg tests almost obsessively!

I still lack confidence in the whole abbreviation thingy, but I wish you all lots of luck. Anyone else trying for a 2nd baby??

Jamie try not to be too downhearted...you know you can conceive, which is a big positive. And with respect to whether you ovulated or not, I once read that the only way to know for sure whether or not you ovulated is to get a BFP....so hang in there and you may well be pleasantly surprised!!

Hi all, hoping to join the bus if thats ok.. really need some moral support as I have turned into a calendar wielding maniac!

Have one DD just turned 2 in April and had MMC in May. Was really devastating but just feel as though I can't move on until I am pregnant again..

No idea how to do all these abbreviations can someone help?

Normal cycle 29 days, last period 4th july which makes me cd18..

Used cheapy ovulation kit and ovulated sat/sun past. only BD three times around these dates so am sceptical of our potential success.

Have had period cramps all day today - can anyone explain this?

thanks in advance for my seat on the Preggars Express

xxx

NancyPreg · 22/07/2009 20:56

CD is cycle day, UCL is usual cycle length

if you let me have your stats, I'll update the list!

Spirael · 22/07/2009 20:58

Any chance another one can squeeze onto the bus? I'm only small, and for the time being I don't mind standing near the front!!

From pouring over the various calendars and counting my fingers and toes, I think I might just scrape into April 2010 if everything goes to schedule!

A bit new to all this, but as I'm trying for my first, this is the first month, I'm apparently averaging 27.5 days for a cycle and AF has just popped in for a visit, I think I would be listed as...

Spirael TTC#1 Cycle1 UCL27.5 CD1 ???

Feel free to correct me, if I've managed to completely lose myself somewhere.

LeeWT · 22/07/2009 21:00

TTC #3 UCL Cycle 1 UCL 29 CD18

TTC # 3 if you count the baby we lost? TTC#2 if you dont. thanks nancy! x

JamieJay · 22/07/2009 21:04

You talk sense NancyPreg, I'm not sure why I'm so down on the whole thing today, will make sure I put my positive head on tomorrow

LeeWT welcome, I know exactly what you mean about needing to get pregnant before you can move on, had a miscarriage in June and need to prove to myself that the BFP I had then wasn't a fluke. Not sure on the cramping front though but I'd take it as a good sign!

JamieJay · 22/07/2009 21:05

This is a busy bus now!!

Good luck everyone!!

LeeWT · 22/07/2009 21:15

thanks for the welcomes everyone..

Joining the bus is much needed support but also is a bit painful as my MC is so recent. it took 6 weeks for my periods to come back and i was so impatient but now that they have and i can try, its turned me into a crazydaizy! all i think about is ovulation, BDing and due dates.

My baby would have been due on xmas day so i feel like ive been cheated out of months. can anyone suggest anyways without drugs or alcohol that i can stop being a pyscho?!?!

lots of luck and baby dust to those close to test time..

NancyPreg · 22/07/2009 21:22

Lee mc are so cruel because although the physical effects settle down (relatively) quickly (although I realise that for some women, it can take much longer than 'average'), the psychological effects do take longer . I think it's really common for a woman to want to become pg as soon as possible after having a mc...so it's really not surprising that you are thinking about it so much. But again, you know you can conceive which is a good thing to remember. As you are in the 2ww, there is nothing more you can do but wait so now is the time to find other things to do that you enjoy...to help pass the time!!

Trying4Baby1 · 22/07/2009 21:33

Hiya ladies. I know most of you are far more knowledgeable then me on the testing front. Looking for some advice on early testing. Does anyone have any experience of the cheapy sensitive ebay tests? Just wondered how soon after ovulation they will work? Hope I'm not going to be obsessed like this through the whole process of TTC. Think I'm going to be a nightmare if I do get pregnant.

trying the eBay tests seem to come in different strengths, with 10miu/ml being the most sensitive. The blurb states that these tests can detect a BFP at 10dpo, however these stats are worth knowing:

The percentages of those who get their BFPs on set dpo are as follows:
10dpo=35%
11dpo=51%
12dpo=62%
13dpo=68%
14dpo=74%
15dpo=80%
16dpo=88%
17dpo=92%
and there are some who have not got their BFP until 21dpo

I would recommend waiting to test until at least the day before af is due...to avoid both a false negative and false disappointment.

HTH!

hoops997 · 22/07/2009 22:23

hey lee, you mc'd the same time as me, I would have been due on 27th Dec, it took my period 42 days to come back and I too went a bit mad, my lovely bloke told me me could try again when I felt ready but all I could think about was the baby that I never would have........I had a little service for my LO and with it I got a little pebble that i keep in my pocket and when I feel a little sad I take it out and hold it for a while [crazy lady sat in a corner smiley] but it really helped me....now however I am ready to put my stone in a box and move on, so I am really hoping that this month is my time and this one will stick......I found MN a godsend because I didn't realise just how common MC is and that that are loads of lovely ladies out there to hold your hand

I am hoping to test on Saturday morning...so fingers crossed!!

LeeWT · 22/07/2009 22:30

OMG hoops if i was cd30 i would so so so have tested by now! i admire your strength.

you are right about well meaning comments from partners and family.. they cannot understand what you have lost, how you have changed mentally and have started to plan your whole life around this baby that you love already.

its a nice idea to have a service. i asked for a copy of the scan photo and its so nice to have..

the thing is that was the first month we tried so i feel so cheated and now i cant be relaxed or come what may about it..

Buckets of baby dust for you! fingers crossed for saturday morning xxx

Hi everyone,

Had ERPC on Monday and have been bleeding since.

Have cleaned the house.

After about day 10 will do a preg test to see if hormones have gone down (hopefully will be negative) and then test for ovulation. Have got it all planned..I'm pretty sure there is STUFF going on in the rest of the world but I am in a crazy bubble.

DH queried if it was a good idea to try again because an mmc is damaging to body and soul (I think he meant me). Told him to take a seat and he'll be called up when required.
