Hi all.

Needing some extra support this time round as have just had a MC. We are trying again straight away. But I've a feeling it's going to take ages. Got pregnant first month trying last 2 times. I have 1 DC- 11 months.

I want some people to join this thread who are ready to hold hands and help each other through the TTC.

Good luck to all.

Hi apples, I didn't have an ERPC with my MC at 12w, but medically managed it. I had to get blood drawn every week, so it helped to see hormone levels falling weekly albeit not as quickly as I had hoped. It took AF 5w 3d to return, I also had light bleeding for 3 days during that time, about 1 1/2w before AF finally showed. After the first long cycle, the rest have been back to normal in length with some spotting in between. Also, I haven't ovulated yet - but should this fourth cycle.

I spoke with a gal this summer about my MC, she said her cycles have not been normal since she started having children. Strangely encouraging and not at the same time. Bottom line I think, is that after a MC, it may take a little while for your body to get back to normal. Hope this helps.

stressyheady · 21/08/2009 15:55

Oh Jules I could hug you. I hope that in the not too distant future we can all be posting a similar message of encouragement to the poor ladies out there who will go through this.

cheepz had an AF post mmc before trying again hence cycle 1 - overall since trying for DC2 am on cycle 9. Not a clue what body is up to am going to take Jules' advice and TRY to relax more (maybe booze is the answer!!)

Thought AF was going to pop in today but nope - am now going to see if I can challenge meita for the longest cycle crown!

boodle what news? Am dying to know.

Hi apples It took me 6 full weeks before a proper AF though I too had some bleeding inbetween so it's hard to say - could be AF on her way or just some bleeding and you won't get proper AF for a couple of weeks yet. Was it fresh? Could be implantation bleeding? Fingers crossed for you - let us know.

boodleboot · 21/08/2009 17:50

ah....am back from the forest like the proverbial maid marion with all of my children {a bonus} and most of my wits {a miracle} with no real news to speak of....no period {altho not strictly due til tomorr}

preg test this morning was a BFN.....digital one too so was MEGA annoyed....the silly thing about it is i am not sure AF feels like she is on her way as i really feel preg....but test says not.....very bizarre. i think i will just have to wait this one out til she arrives....i keep checking for the pink tinged mucus but nothing - i always have that at least two days before she comes....weird, maybe my cycle is off? perhaps its too early to detect hormones as cycle length is longer this month....

OH BIG FAT HAIRY BALLS......this waiting is sooooooo annoying. Have briefly read the last few posts but not the whole week so can anyone do a quick update of anything major that i have missed.....Pleeeease??

good to be back girls. xxxxxxxx

Cheepz · 21/08/2009 18:49

boodle welcome back - have vision of you with green hat and feather?! i am not testing, i will not test, i have not bought any tests, think AF on way but not really feeling anything

here is my potted summary of where everyone is since youve been gone
totally checked in and is doing fine has had scan and all little limbs present and correct
mrs rigby is frustrated but keeping us entertained with her own particular brand of humourous ranting
meita has buggered off to switzerland for a week and should be back in a couple of days still in her mega cycle
stressy is on day 34 and hitting BFMs so AF seems to have gone awol
zayja is back to the bottom - AF got her - was not a happy time
leeWT dropped in to say hi and that although she has become a frantic knicker checker all is going well so far with her pgy
em22 joined us after mmc so we are welcoming her on board
becky78 has been doing the bd and should be in the 2ww
waiting is waiting! 2 days ahead of us but no sign yet of either a bfp or af
tfls is working through those early cycle days where you are pre ov and pre 2ww and theres nowt to do but drink grapefruit juice and think of ways to seduce your dh
chamio is waiting for a BFN post mc last i looked and
vivcliquot has a hen do the day after ov so not looking like theres going to be too much bd and sensible ov behaviour this month!

phew

that rounds it up just about

on other matters - i have bought a grapefuit perfume - do you think thats going too far?!

thefatladyscreams · 21/08/2009 19:32

Blimey cheepz - did you have to crib back from the posts or do you have a super memory? Grapefruit perfume..... does DH like it? Not much help if he finds it offputting!

Welcome back boodle. You've been missed. Hope you bought a dud test. How very frustrating but at least you're back amongst your impatient compatriots now. Think you missed a great thread about sex in tents whilst you were on holiday by the way

chamoiscreased · 21/08/2009 19:34

cheepz you are fab, that little summary is very useful!
Finally got a BFN this morning which feels like a mini milestone. Never thought I'd be so pleased to see one.
The grapefuit perfume made me chuckle, possibly a step too far but I'm not counting anything out right now, if it works for you I'll be buying it!

boodleboot · 21/08/2009 19:55

OMG.....i forgot to have SEX on holiday - Poor DH....fourteen mile daily bike rides {my children are the fittest kids i have EVER known }totally zonked me out come bed time and it never occured to me to get it on with him at all....evil wife.

thanks for the update cheepz, you can be the official minute taker from now on....that was an impressive update....good girl for not testing, altho i must warn you that is such showy-offy behaviour that i may have to come over and force you to POAS....truthfully, i wish friggin tests had not been invented...

oh well, not out of the game until the red army comes a marchin....

heres hoping for a flurry of BFP's......

MrsRigby · 21/08/2009 20:05

Evening.

applesaretheonlyfruit hello! The April thread is very lonely isn't it. It's got to be our turn next surely. Fingers crossed.

boodleboot welcome back , I've missed you. I can't believe you got a BFN, I really thought you were going to come back with a BFP (so sorry if that makes you feel even worse). It's possible though that your having a longer cycle and that you tested too early. No period still is a good sign.

cheepz grapefuit perfume, well if it works...

I've just come back from the shops, where I brought 4 pregnancy tests - Clearblue. DH wasn't that impressed with me spending £25.00+ on them, but hopefully he'll forget all about it when he see's two lovely blue lines - until of course when he checks the bank balance and then I'll just have to make him forget again with a blow-job .

I've brought two normal ones and two digital with conception indicator, but I'm definately not going to test again until 1st September. I am not putting myself through that again .

Okay so symptom spotting today and I'm still having cramping, I feel uncomfortable and I've got a big blue vein and little lumps on my breasts. I just don't know.

I'll bet you any bloody money that AF visits me whilst I'm away next week.

Cheepz · 21/08/2009 20:14

i think i might be too involved in this thread!! most from memory although did a few checks

grapefruit perfume is jo malone and lovely so at worst i will smell good and at best the grapefruit vibes might seep through to my ovaries!!

to be honest i can't face testing, and i would almost rather not know, because once i know i will worry, if i am not i will be disappointed if i am i will worry so there is no upside to knowing - even if af is late and i get symptoms i think i might remain in denial until after 6 weeks in order to get past last mc date - might make me abit wierd but its one way of dealing with it!

loving MrsR's work - blowjob in exchange for Clearblues ... he has got himself a good deal there!

LeeWT · 21/08/2009 21:22

hi everyone..

mrsR you never cease to make my jaw drop you are so funny!

Stressy it aint over til its over. dont forget because of slightly irregular cycle, i was getting BFNs couple days AFTER i thought af due..

cheepz kudos on the update, I would like to confirm that i am a bona fide knicker checker and boob prodder!

apples my af took almost 6 entire weeks and i dont know whether i ov. mine was medical management.. dont know if that makes a difference. i hope you get a bfp but if u dont take heart that your body will be properly reset for next month and youll properly know your dates xxx

applesaretheonlyfruit · 21/08/2009 23:14

MrsRigby!, just left you a message on the April bus.. I'm holding on there, because it is the only bus that will take me where I want to go.. might find me there in six months time, talking to myself again.

Thank you for the experiences on bleeding after mmc. Sounds like light bleeding mid-mc cycle is not unusual and therefore probably not implantation bleeding.. I went out today and returned with items associated with testing for pregnancy. They were expensive. I was then encouraged by the instructions to pee on one. BFN. Still no actual AF though. This is the first time I haven't a clue what is going on.. would like AF now so I can plan ahead.

Cheepz · 22/08/2009 09:56

Hormone headache - usually arrives few days before af - which would be about right for af 5 weeks post mc.

Off swimming with ds - good excuse for full english in the kaf after.

boodleboot · 22/08/2009 11:14

still bfn on a cheapie this morning. still no pink cm which is usually before AF arrival so not really got a scooby whats appening so far this month...

woke up at 5 am this morning after terrible nightmares {damn war of the worlds....my five year old can laugh at it but it absolutely terrifies me.....}and feeling like a bag of shite. sooo spotty it almost looks like i have chicken pox....even DH has expressed his amazement at how bad it is....

add that to post hols blues and you have a day that is mainly looking like and ......boo me.

come on stork....bring us some babies.....

thefatladyscreams · 22/08/2009 15:14

Good news re the BFN chamois (what a mad world we live in to say that but YKWIM).

Blimey boodle, not surprised you forgot about sex after those bike rides. Hoping your spots are a pregnancy sympton and your becomes overnight.

MrsR - please only give DH a blow job if you get a BFP. Seems a waste otherwise

Still full of admiration for those of you who are holding off testing.

boodleboot · 22/08/2009 21:04

OMG......just did another test as still not a whisper of AF and boobs like rocks and have got a very very faint BFP.....DH has confirmed there is indeed a second line BUT it is really faint compared to control line....

i think i am slightly stunned....and am not going to get excited as it could still turn out to be nothing eh.....

MrsRigby · 22/08/2009 21:45

boodleboot congratulations, I knew you were going to graduate, I'm so happy for you . Your pregnant .

waitingisntfun · 23/08/2009 09:25

That's great news boodle I'm really excited for you

I tested today but another BFN. My boobs are so sore though so v confused - was convinced I was going to be pregnant as it all feels like it did before Think I must be going crazy.

Did everyone else's first cycle after MC last ages? Or was it normal?

boodleboot · 23/08/2009 10:15

myfirst cycle lasted ages, waiting, don't worry too much and i believe there is always hope until auntie flo knocks at the door.

i have done another two cheapie tests this morning and both have very very faint line. was hoping for a stronger line to assuage my fears that it is not real but nope. I am going to have to go and get a clearblue....i just don't trust those cheapies now....

thanks for the congrats but still feels way to precarious for me to have anything but total abject TERROR about....

applesaretheonlyfruit · 23/08/2009 10:18

waitingisntfun, hi I am still waiting for AF, after ERPC on 20 July, so over 5 weeks.. and I was on 8wks at the time. V. irritating.

boodleboot BFP 21st August

LeeWT · 23/08/2009 11:17

Congrats boodle bout time ladyluck smiled on us again and don't worry my first two tests were so so faint and dh was saying he could see tyem but wasn't sure really.. Def buy yourself a two pack of clearblue and that way u can take another in couple weeks and see the weeks indicator going up!! Btw think my lines were bit faint coz I implanted late (can be 6-12) days after ov so could be same for you

best of luck xxx

MrsRigby · 23/08/2009 12:28

LeeWT when did you get your BFP and I'll update the list.

boodleboot · 23/08/2009 15:26

ok well my clearblue digital saya PREGNANT 1-2 weeks so looks like its for sure...woohooo.

lee - i did buy a twin pack so will leave it 2week before using the other one to check it is going up...

i am going to speak to my midwife and get booked in for an early scan so they can see it is progressing as it should....last time preg didn't develop past 6 weeks but also didn't miscarry spontaneously... can't have that scenario happen at 12 wk scan again - that was beyond shite.

will be a bag of nerves now....

cheepz - what news?
stressy - ditto....

mrsR - weird isn't it...i must have conceieved that night that i messaged you about on that thread about 'feeling' when you conceive....

everyone else i hope is doing ok today?
