Hi all.

Needing some extra support this time round as have just had a MC. We are trying again straight away. But I've a feeling it's going to take ages. Got pregnant first month trying last 2 times. I have 1 DC- 11 months.

I want some people to join this thread who are ready to hold hands and help each other through the TTC.

Good luck to all.

Welcome VivClicquot, I'm so sorry you've had a MMC . I have my fingers crossed for you. Good luck.

Boodleboot I'm convinced your going to get a BFP and I've also come out in spots. I'll hold Cheepz hand, though I don't think I'll be the only one. Enjoy the camping trip, missing you already.

Hello everyone else, hope your all having a good evening.

Hi all,

Just a quick update- had my scan yesterday, and I've been put forward to 24th Feb. Baby looks well, and has little arms and legs awwwwwwwwww.

Today I'm really poorly- chest pains, headache, sickness and trots. Feel dreadful.

Who's the next to test and what date will that be?

Cheepz · 14/08/2009 09:13

Meita · 14/08/2009 09:59

good morning,
just a quick wave at everyone from me...

I tested BFN again yesterday whereas AF should have been overdue. I've re-evaluated my temp charts and am now expecting AF to arrive on or about CD44 (I do occasionally get those odd, long cycles, and this one is the first after MC so not unexpectedly unusual)

so I'm adapting the list - Thanks cheepz - to put myself at a more appropriate place, 2ww-wise.

Morning Ladies,

Hope you're all well. Needing a big hug today as no symptoms but tested anyway [apologetic emoticon] and, of course, got a BFN.

I know it sounds silly but was just kind of hoping that mother nature would let me be pg this month to make up for horror of mmc. Not sure I can cope with months and months of ttc again - not helped by fact that dh spent all of last night screaming at me and breaking things (not me!) over a silly argument so really don't feel like bding with him anytime soon [feeling sorry for myself emoticon].

Sorry to hear you're feeling crappy cheepz hopefully it'll turn out to be for a good reason .

Right am off to stuff face with junk and watch shite on tv

Meita · 14/08/2009 11:41

Oh stressy, I'm so sorry for you! Sending lots of hugs your way. I do hope your DH makes a biiig effort at making up! I know exactly what you mean about not being able to bear the idea of TTC for months and months. Keeping my fingers crossed for you - next cycle, or perhaps even this one, who knows?

(((hugs)))

zayja · 14/08/2009 17:42

Hi All,
Just updating - you can send me back to the back of the list WHHAAAAAA!

AF arrived yesterday morning and what a bummer to say the least! It's been a bumpy ride this month.

I felt really fertile early on, just knew it'd be this month. Then when ov time came around OPKs never gave me a for sure +. Then last week started feeling very unusual, like intense PMS and headaches, dizzyness, etc. At this point, started convincing myself I was PG again.

I spent most of yesterday crying and trying to hide it as I had company early on, then went out for a drink later - wore sunglasses. Then a friend in from out of town who is studying to be a nurse was telling me about delivering babies and the floodgates just opened up. Tears everywhere, all friends in the bar coming up to me for hugs. etc. I think my DH was as embarrassed as me and we split. Cried all the way home and cried myself to sleep.

Couldn't help torturing myself by looking at the 8week scan of healthy baby before MMC and wishing I was 7mos. PG right now instead of TTC!

Cheepz · 14/08/2009 18:53

zayja poor poor you - what a shit time and sounds like yesterday was a horrible day. Noone can help - friends, dh's, mums - none of them really understand, and looking at your scan - my heart reaches out to you. Maybe you should tuck it away, somewhere hard to get to so you can't torture yourself. Not to forget, but to give yourself a break, at least until you are in a happier place?

I have done the list for you - when I had my mc I had to have someone else take me off the March 2012 list as couldn't quite bear it myself.

xxxxxxKissesxxxxxxx and {{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}

cheepz sorry you're feeling poorly..

viv so sorry you had an mmc for your first. it is the worst pain to go through especially on your first. best of luck to you..

fatladyscreams i know what you mean i was devastated i didnt get preg straight away but have comforted myself that i will know the exact dates and that it gave my body a chance to reset IYKWIM..

stressy ah petal DHs can be utter plonkers!!! they have NO CONCEPT of what you have been through and while i know they lost something, they didnt go through what you did..

zayja i can identify with that so much. thought i was doing really well til i went to smyths to buy something for DD and saw all the shiny new buggies and had a breakdown in the shop. even now that i am pregnant again i feel so cheated that i should have been 5 months by now.. and no one else can understand that you wont feel even half way normal until you are pregnant again.. the injustice of it all.. maybe you should stay on the list but add yourself on the bottom since we are all trying to see each other through this hard time we will still be here in few weeks?

babydust and positive vibes to everyone xxx

Cheepz · 14/08/2009 20:34

lee pls update on bean status -- want to know how things are with you

MrsRigby · 14/08/2009 21:45

Evening everyone.

DH has buggered off out for a meal and drinks with friends, so no sex tonight. Though considering sperm can survive for up to 5 days inside a womans uterus (DH and I last had sex on Wednesday) and an orgasim helping get the sperm to the egg, I might do a little DIY tonight .

Incidentally, I cut off half my hair earlier (head not pubic, I shaved that off with DH shaver last week), DH was not amused in the least. I have my hair up and DH say's I look like a sumo westler. I don't care, I never wear it down anymore on account of DS pulling it and I'll be buggered if I'm going to pay someone £25.00 + tips for some unwanted smalltalk and a bad haircut. So I did it myself. I don't care, it's hair, it'll grow back.

Hair today, gone tomorrow (I can hear you all moaning, yeh, that was quite bad).

stressyheady · 15/08/2009 18:35

Hi Ladies. Thanks for your kind words and sorry for being such a grumpy bugger AF still not here but only a matter of time.

You really do make me laugh mrsR I sympathise totally. I haven't worn my hair down since about 2004 so really don't see the point and when I do get it done it costs over £100 (have to cover up the grey too)

sorry AF got you zayja I have a scan pic too from 8 weeks but haven't brought myself to look at it yet. Why do we torture ourselves like this?

Thanks lee I guess I just forget how stressful it all gets for him too. What news of your bean? How are the symptoms going? Tell all!!

Speaking of torturing yourself I KNOW af is just around the corner but am still having second thoughts about having a glass of wine tonight. Sad, sad, sad woman....

MrsRigby · 15/08/2009 21:33

Tell me about it stressyheady, I've stopped drinking caffiene - no coke or coffee and only limited amounts of chocolate .

Not looking forward to tonight, DH and I are having sex (the sooner I'm pregnant the better, I can have another 15+ months rest). I just pray it's over quickly. I might give him a blow job to speed up the process .

Okay so symptom spotting today and I have an absent period - I wasn't due (actually no idea when I'm due), dull sharp cramp like discomfort to the left lower abdomen, a long blue vein on my left breast, a couple of spots on my face and insane hunger as soon as I get up in the mornings .

TotallyAndUtterlyPaninied · 16/08/2009 10:10

MrsRigby- Don't want to get hopes up or anything insensitive like that but they were the EXACT symptoms I had when I was pregnant- both times. Except the first time I was having 5 wees a night, too. Why are things so grim with DH? Could you possibly have gone off sex due to being up the duff?

Sorry you're feeling so rubbish Stressyhead. Fingers extra crossed for you this month.

Where's boodle?

MrsRigby · 16/08/2009 10:29

Morning totallyandutterlypaninied, morning everyone.

Don't worry totallyandutterlypaninied my hopes are already up, these are the same symptoms I had with my first pregnancy. I just know I'm going to be dissapointed . Unfortunately/thankfully since DH and I began TTC#2 last Saturday we have had sex a total of 4 times, I just don't think we've been trying hard enough or for that long, but I'm ready to be proven wrong .

I've never been into sex. It just doesn't do anything for me. It's not DH's fault, he try's his best, no man has ever got me anywhere close (5 sexual partners).

boodleboot is currently camping in the New Forest, I think she's back this Friday with news - hopefully a BFP (I'm convinced she's next).

LeeWT · 16/08/2009 17:29

stressy my bean seems so far to be doing ok I was six weeks yesterday.. I am utterly exhausted have sore boobs and am much more nauseous than the last time which I hope is a good sign! Am away with friends at the minute and one of the girls is 5months preg and is due at the same time I would have been due the baby I lost. I have to say if i was not pregnant I think it would have been very hard seeing the bump whereas instead we're able to natter away..

Am def quite hormonal at the minute and don't seem to be able to stop talking about dd to anyone will listen.. I hate people like me!!;-)

mrsR ah honey u are missing out!! I've been with dh since I was 18 and our sex life has been fine but unremarkable but I have to say it's better than ever now because we actually discussed how we'd like to make it better. Just an idea..

So anyone due to test soon? Can't lie I am still doing tests to reassure myself..

X

MrsRigby · 16/08/2009 20:53

leewt DH does keep asking me to tell him what I like and what I want, but that ends up just making me want/like sex even less. He say's he'd enjoy sex more if I enjoyed it. You could be our sex councellor .

Meita · 17/08/2009 11:30

stressy did AF catch up with you yet? Here's hoping that not!

leewt glad to hear your bean is still sticking. I'm sure being nauseous is a good sign! Ah... how many BFPs have you seen? I can imagine myself continuing to POAS for reassurance - I think we all deserve this little luxury after our experiences.

Hi All,
Thanks for the comforting words lee, cheepz and stressyheady, it really helps to be here b/c you all can relate. Am feeling better now, but am considering a call to the doc to see if everything's ok w/ my cycle, etc. Don't think I've ovulated since mmc

Well, what news Meita?! Things are looking promising, how do you feel?

Meita · 17/08/2009 16:37

Zayja, really sorry that AF caught you and that it got you all down. This was your first AF since MMC, right? Probably the doctor will just tell you to wait another cycle. (Sorry - that's just speaking from my experience with irregular cycles, but could obviously be different for you!) That's why I originally started temping - to see if I had indeed ovulated or not, more than anything else. This current post-MC cycle I'm not so sure at all... I thought I had, then I thought I had but later, now I'm just not sure. Still, over all I'm expecting AF around CD44 so still a way to go. When I still thought I'd ovulated around CD17 I did HPT at CD31 and again at CD33 but both BFN. Thus re-evaluated and am thinking ovulation was around CD29 or 30, so not expecting AF for a while yet. I know my list entry is a bit misleading... but that's just me and my cycles, they're short when I'm counting on them to be long and they're long when I'm just waiting for AF to arrive to get over with it. Duh.

stressyheady · 17/08/2009 19:00

zayja I've read in lots of places that it's very common for first cycle post mmc to be anovulatory so wouldn't surprise me if you or I didn't ovulate. I thought I had but don't temp or anything (though I never got a result on the ov sticks) so it's plausible.

No AF for me yet but only a matter of time. Am getting that horrible "all hell is about to break loose" down there feeling feel bloated, grumpy (what's new?) and knackered. Just wish she'd hurry up and get on with it now so that I can get on with it.

Glad to hear your feeling sick lee . I know the docs always say that symptoms or lack of aren't necessarily an indicator of a good pg but I defo believe that the more symptoms the better.

Right, off to try and convince ds that pooing in a toilet is MUCH better than in his pants. Why do they not teach you these things at antenatal classes? Don't give a F*&! about correct breathing techniques and what an epidural needle looks like (I forgot it all when I was in labour anyway) - teach me how to make small boys poo goddammit!!!

MrsRigby · 17/08/2009 20:02

Evening everyone

I'm being rather naughty at the moment and working my way through a box of AfterEight's.

I'm sure I'm pregnant, the past couple of days I've had some sort of wierd feeling down there and lower abdominal cramping. Today just standing up was making my back ache and my right ribs are uncomfortable.

stressyheady I'm really not looking forward to toilet training DS, you have my every sympathy.

Cheepz · 17/08/2009 22:00

mrsr you do make me chuckly

stressy i am with you on the don't think its happened this month - although given cycle 0 and all not even sure where i am in it but don't feel remotely pg so expecting af at some point - although dh and i are randomly doing the bd just fo fun! Also am in the 'really should be thinking about potty training 'age with my ds but the prospect of having to deal with him leaving gifts all over the house is too daunting

meita hope you enjoyed your time away are doing ok given the disappointment

i am nearly back to 100% so bug is gone - wasnt THE BUG after all - although ironic that I had an identical bug last month the week before the mc - sopre throat and feeling terrible generally

right - am knackered so off to bed

zayja · 18/08/2009 04:01

Well, I did call the doc, and she said to go through another cycle before we intervene. This is my 4th post mc cycle, so hopefully I am finally back to normal. If not, doc said they'll give me some progesterone to "reset" my cycle. Any of you ever hear of that? Guess I've got some internet research to do...

em22 · 18/08/2009 08:21

Hi, I had a miscarriage end of june and have had a period, now trying to conceive again. can anyone tell me when I am going to ovulate- first day of last period was 5th august, cycle is 28 days
thanks
