Hi all.

Needing some extra support this time round as have just had a MC. We are trying again straight away. But I've a feeling it's going to take ages. Got pregnant first month trying last 2 times. I have 1 DC- 11 months.

I want some people to join this thread who are ready to hold hands and help each other through the TTC.

Good luck to all.

boodle - we are on the same day and i am also having 'the symptoms' you describe - happy bonking

see i would rather the grapefruit than the brazils and actually both over the other!

I would definitely go for the grapefruit over the brazils but if you mix grapefruit juice with orange it is much nicer - can't imagine it detracts from its magical fertility properties.

Sorry to hear af got you too trixel - here's to a large glass of white wine and then the next round - it must be your turn soon...

Good luck Boodle & Cheepz hope this is your month and enjoy trying whether it works or not. Everyone seems a lot more chilled out this month so that has got to be a good thing for all of us (and our beans to be).

Off to Isle of Wight now to watch the Cowes week fireworks - hope you all have a lovely weekend x

Trixel · 06/08/2009 19:58

okay, my order of preference is
brazils
grapefruit
spunk

oh but topping all that is a large glass of wine - raising it to all you girls, and especially you becky, my fellow af-sufferer! here's to a new month for all of us!

TotallyAndUtterlyPaninied · 06/08/2009 22:32

Hi all,

I've just got back from my wedding holiday.

Sorry to LuckyWinner- hope you do continue to lurk and come back when you're ready.

Glad to see this thread has really taken off- such a nice bunch of people coming together with such a lot of support.

I'm 11 weeks now and have my scan next week. I'm very worried under the surface. But I've been so busy the 11 weeks have whizzed by and I'm just going along IYSWIM.

My friend had a MC today and she's coming to me for a shoulder to cry on. She was 6 weeks and only I knew she was pregnant... but I never told her I was pregnant. I'm not sure how she'll take it when I do tell people.

Hope everyone is feeling positive this month. Lots of luck. XxXx

amyboo · 07/08/2009 09:09

Can't believe you're 11 weeks already totally - where did all that time go? I'm only 6 weeks today, and time seems to be crawling by...

That's terrible about your friend. I'm sure she'll understand when you tell her you're pregnant though, as you've been through the same thing as she's going through. When I had my mc I found myself feeling irrational upset towards already pregnant friends/colleagues. But then I got over it by telling myself that I didn't know what they'd been through in order to get there - they could have gone through a mc too.

TotallyAndUtterlyPaninied · 07/08/2009 10:21

I know, 11 weeks, it's flown hasn't it. Ooo I didn't know you were preggers, haven't had chance to read up on all the posts yet. Congratulations! 6 weeks is a great day- most MCs happen between 4-6 weeks so I was really happy when I got to 6 weeks. The only thing I can say to make the time go quicker is don't think about it. I know that's really difficult but I've been so busy it's all just whisked by. Got a wedding party to get planning now so another couple of weeks will fly by.

I thought I was due 26th feb but midwife says 1st march. I'll get my proper date at the scan next Thursday. Assuming all is well. When are you due?

amyboo · 07/08/2009 12:13

I got my bfp a couple of weeks ago. I'm not relying too much on statistics, as I had a good scan at 10 weeks last time and still had a mc. Still, signs are all good so far. According to my dates I'm due on 3rd April, but I won't really know until I have my next scan for definite. Thanksfully 'm going on holiday next week for 10 days, so hopefully that should make some time go by! I wish it was the end of September already!

Glad everything's going well for you so far.

thefatladyscreams · 07/08/2009 15:28

Big glasses of wine to becky and trixel - sorry af arrived. If it's your first full cycle becky I guess your body is still getting back to normal. Trixel - I just reckon no#3 is playing hard to get .

I'm impressed by you juicing your own grapefruit zayja but I'm struggling with the mental image of boodleboot sitting down to a glass of something creamy in the morning . Definitely won't get that from a juicer

Thanks for the cake cheepz - hope you're making it a birthday weekend celebration (one of my favourite tricks!)

totally&utterly - congratulations. If I read your post right (sorry, haven't tracked back through all the earlier ones) is it a double congratulations - I assume it was your wedding? Sorry about your friend. Hope your scan goes well.

amyboo - very jealous at the idea of sitting by the pool in France! Sounds a perfect excuse to do absolutely nothing and just go with the tiredness.

Have a good weekend everyone.

Meita · 07/08/2009 16:46

Hello, just checking in briefly. totally I never even knew you before now, but I'm so happy for you! Fingers crossed that the good news keeps coming.

trixel and becky, officially being allowed to drink alcohol again is not much comfort, I'm sure. Hang on in there.
I see myself at your place in a week or so... I don't know what's worse: Not being able to do anything and simply having to wait (but still having some hope), or knowing for sure it didn't work out this time (but being able to try again soon). I guess it's both bad in it's own way.

I'll have fresh grapefruit for breakfast tomorrow :-)

Weekend, here we come!

Cheepz · 07/08/2009 22:13

nice to see totally and amy progressing slowly but surely and reassuring for the rest of us that it can be done and can be fine (touch wood a million times over)

have done the list (i think its right) am planning some birthday bd this weekend have some special pants to lull dh into a false sense of security that its not all about making a baby ;) actually its to distract myself from all the ttc nonsense so I can just enjoy it for what it is

hope everyone has great weekends and will be keeping eye out for news from meita and tfls who are next up

love to all

hi girls

hoping you can reassure me... got my albeit faint bfps on monday and tuesday of this week. in work today i went to the loo and all of a sudden had awful cramps. i can only describe it as everything down there cramping.

it went on for about half an hour by which stage i was in my managers (thankfully female) office in streams of tears fearing the worst.

went to the gp as it was subsiding and she said it was too early to be ectopic and that they could be bowel cramps. its almost totally gone away now but the thing is ive only ever experienced that once before in the preg that i mc but i cant remember exactly when. gp seemed to think that if there was no bleeding it was a good sign but considering my mc was a missed mc i am panicking.

to reassure myself i did a test when i got in, positive of course but still faint.

i just never considered what a mess i would be being pregnant again every corner i turn is a potential threat and i just feel afraid all the time.

has anyone else ever experienced crippling cramps, no bleeding and it was ok?

sorry for offloading, dh just doesnt understand..

Cheepz · 08/08/2009 08:53

lee honey - poor you - i just know that even if i manage to get pregnant i am going to be just the same, totally paranoid and trying to look round every corner and preparing for the worst.

I had all sorts of cramps and pains with ds especially early on - for the first week after I tested it felt like I was having my period at times they were so tight, I also used to get alot of sharp stabbing pains almost like a stitch one side or another - if I got them now I would be thinking ectopic, mc or other disaster - at the time I thought this just must be part of it, or wind! or some other indignity to suffer

try and stay calm, and check in with you EPU once a week for some reassurance. My mc was very early and there were no cramps or pains, I just started bleeding so there is no rhyme or reason.

I have been feeling abit nonchalent about ttc since the bleeding stopped mostly because I know that the minute I get pregnant again I will be sooooooo anxious.

Thinking of you and crossing everything xxxxxx

Trixel · 08/08/2009 08:56

hi lee,
yes i did, with my first and absolutely complication-free pregnancy. i also went to the gp about it and he said it was implantation pains. it carried on for about 2 weeks, but then subsided.
i'm sure you'll be fine lee - but i totally understand you feeling a bit of a mess, it's inevitable unfortunately when you've had our experiences. just try to ignore it as much as you can though - try to get obsessed with something else: sudoku, knitting, crosswords, bejewelled blitz, anything!
off camping now, so see you girls in a few days
xx

LeeWT · 08/08/2009 09:24

thanks trixel and cheepz i was reading something on another thread and someone described when you get pregnant after mc as having lost your innocence. isnt that so true?

BUT i woke up this morning and i am determind to try and not stress. for better or worse this bean is in there for however hopefully long. and the more i jump about panicking the more it will affect it so i have to be the mature one and get on with it and hope for the best.

reassuring that one of you had such bad cramps and nothing was wrong.. thanks

TotallyAndUtterlyPaninied · 08/08/2009 21:19

Lee- What I say will hopefully reassure you lots. I had very bad pains with DS, all was well. Then I got pregnant and had no pains, that was my MC. This time I'm pregnant and I have bad pains again. They r reassuring. Stretching and also implantation. My BPF's were faint this time. I did clearblues over a few weeks and the conception indicator went up so I felt better, then had a scan and there was a heartbeat. I know anything can happen at any time but I hope this does reassure you.

Thanks to everyone for positive messages about me almost hitting the 2nd trimester... eek

I hope that's right!

PS: TFLS... will you be testing, sometime soon?

boodleboot · 09/08/2009 15:32

hello everyone....what a glorious day, i LURRRVE the summer....i really feel like i have given it a good shot this month and actually saw my symptoms clearly....ie EWCM, feeling fruity, had a temp surge etc...the preseed was very easy to use, no idea if it was any good tho but cetainly didn't 'dry up' at any point [tmi prob....soz...]

i will be going for it on cd16 and 18 too tho as my mum said she got preg with both me and my sis on cd18 so will have a bit of a superstitious bonk just for luck....cd16 last month was my only OPK POAS and it was neearly same colour as test line so will not neglect to bonk on that day too....then its that time again....sit back relax [yeah right...] and wait til its time to test....

hope everyone else is doing good....i'm keeping my posts slightly generic as this thread has grown so much that i would hate to miss anyone off without a personal message...

LeeWT · 09/08/2009 16:38

totally that is really reassuring thanks so much.. After the pains on Friday giving me such a fright I went and splashed out on a cb digital with indicator and not only did it say pregnant it knew that I was 4-5 wks as opposed to 3-4 which must mean my hormone levels are increasing. I also read that boots are one of the least sensitive tests and got a really strong line on one of those so am putting panicking to one side for now!

Been feeling sick all day too :-)

boodle lol at your bonking plans and lots babydust **

Cheepz · 09/08/2009 22:26

hi all

have had a great weekend and have to say i have found it a revalation not to know when i am ovulating because sex has become spontaneous (and dh seems to have a little more enthusiasm!)

lovely weekend in the sun having bbq's with friends and ds playing with lots of other littluns

back to work tomorrow (boo hiss) so less enjoyable distractions to stop me obsessing....

boodle enjoy!! might have a go on those days myself on the offchance - assuming dh is willing

lee hope you had a stress free day xx

Zayja - I'm precisely where you are! Far enough along in an irregular cycle so that testing this morning might, just might have shown a result... but I didn't. I was considering it, but then got up and went to the loo and somehow forgot all about it until it was too late. Well, not too bad, maybe I can wait until Wednesday. Save some ££. Me too, can't wait for some sort of result - but also dreading it! Good luck with the waiting! Oh, and thanks for updating the list.

all I hope you are all well.

TFLS how are you today? Are you getting nervous/excited about AF/testing, like I am and Zayja is? I hope you are at least a bit more relaxed about it all than I am...

I hope you don't mind, I'm proposing a slightly different list - sorted by where we all are in our cycles - like this (below). If you don't like it, just keep using/updating the last one posted by Zayja.

Hello Boodleboot

Hello everyone, Boodleboot invited me, she said your all lovely and supportive and thats exactly what I need right now. I'm winding myself up thinking I'm pregnant.

Just had sex the night before last, first time in about 11 months (only just moved DS out of the room - born November 08) and my first period about 2 weeks ago, in about 2 and 1/2 years and I have PCOS, last time it took me over 1 and 1/2 years before I conceived DS.

So why am I doing this to myself

boodleboot · 11/08/2009 12:42

ok....i feel like i must knuckle down for the 2ww wait now...21st AF due. I am actually on holiday from friday for a week and will be back on the 21st so praying that AF skips me for the next 9 months or so {at least}

i have got my second acupuncture session on thurs morning....really did act as a pressure release you know....been soooo chilled out this last week or so and the BD hasn't really seen like much of a chore at all...had forgotten how much i actually really enjoy sex with my DH (tmi prob - soz )

welcome mrsR...have you added your self to our list, i think the new list style is a really good idea....who is up for a hand hold now for couple of weeks ish??

really nice to hear from you totally so glad that we have a bean to follow....gives us all hope.....

boodleboot · 11/08/2009 12:44

should have also said lee glad you aren't worrying for the min.....try and relax if possible - i know that is sooooo much easier said than done....
