Hi all.

Needing some extra support this time round as have just had a MC. We are trying again straight away. But I've a feeling it's going to take ages. Got pregnant first month trying last 2 times. I have 1 DC- 11 months.

I want some people to join this thread who are ready to hold hands and help each other through the TTC.

Good luck to all.

Hi All, I'm new to mn, can I join you on this thread?

My DH and I are ttc #1 and had a mmc at 12w the first go-round. I opted for medical management and I've been fairly happy with that choice except my cycle has been off a bit since with lots of spotting etc.

Anyway, ttc again but not even sure if I've ovulated yet - darn OPK's are so hard to read! Have had 3 cycles since mmc and am currently on cd 18.

Thanks for sharing your stories and letting me share too. Found all mn discussions so helpful and comforting.

LeeWT · 04/08/2009 18:15

well!!!! got a much stronger BFP on a first response test so have officially put myself as a graduate of the April 2010 bus.

After mc its quite emotional actually and hard to be happy because you are so worried!

and for the record anyone that gets cramps its not def AF, i had terrible cramps and they were obviously implantation and they were very late - cd27!

will keep you all posted, best of luck and dont lose hope

xxx

p.s. Trixel i guess it would be nice to have a little trumpeting, ive been through every emotion in the book on three hours sleep in the last two days but now i have to accept that theres a risk of mc but hope for the best and live as well as i can for this new bean (sorry very emotional right now!) thanks for all the support..

Cheepz · 04/08/2009 19:55

leewt amazing amazing news and first cycle too, gives me so much hope that it doesn't have to take long

whats the due date (so we can track you if you head off to ante natal thread!!) will you be due April or May... very exciting

Please keep us posted how you are going and don't worry there are many many people who have an mc and then conceive and have a totally straightforward pregnancy and there is no reason why that shouldn't be the case for you

sooo pleased for you xxx

becky78 · 04/08/2009 20:14

Hey leewt - that is great news congratulations!! Best of luck this time around.

Good to hear from you lucky and that you are doing ok.

Good luck with the bonkathon boodle, hopefully this month will be your month

I have added myself to the list, cd26 for me today with a ucl of 28 days (before mc, only had one full cycle since) so waiting and seeing is almost over but not had any symptoms at all so not feeling very hopeful this month. Haven't gone down the road of the cheap tests of amazon so I am hanging on to see if AF arrives over the weekend and if not I will test - away for the weekend so if I leave the test at home then there will be no temptation (let's see if i am that disciplined!!)

trixel - was still quite early to test so fingers crossed it changes this week

amy are you still out there? how are things going?

Hope everyone else is ok and welcome newbies!

cheepz i'd be due april 12th 2010! its my first cycle after getting period back maybe thats technically cycle 2? still its quick enough :-)

thanks for all the kind words, mumsnet has really kept me sane the last 2 weeks!!

will be checking all the time to see how you guys get on!

xxx

amyboo · 05/08/2009 07:51

Congrats on the BFP leewt - that's great news.

Keeping my fingers crossed for becky78 and trixel this month. I had lots of af signs before getting my bfp, so it's definitely not over even if you think af is coming.

I'm doing OK. Am 5+5 today and have my appointment with the gynae at lunchtime. Thanks to the way the system works here, most gynaes have ultrasound machines in their offices, so hopefully I'll get a scan to check everything's where it should be etc. I'm still not feeling too bad - absolutely exhausted and boobs the size of balloons but no sickness yet. The hunger pangs have kicked in since yesterdayt hough, so I'm sure sickness is just around the corner

Meita · 05/08/2009 09:21

Congratulations LeeWT! Wow, you must be on the REAL rollercoaster now, emotionally speaking. Hang in there - try to not just worry, but enjoy a bit, too! Yay, I hope there will be many more BFPs for this thread soon - could you leave some pg-viruses please?

Becky, Trixel, you'll both be testing at roughly the same time? Fingers and toes crossed for you.

I'm not holding out much hope of having conceived this cycle, as my body is doing weird things but I don't feel pg at all. So I guess it's all about waiting for 1st post-MC AF and then getting "down" to business ;-) Still, hate the waiting.

have a great day, everyone!

Trixel · 05/08/2009 09:46

balloon boobs sound good amy! let us know how you get on at lunchtime.
thanks everyone for the good luck wishes - don't think this is the month though, to be honest. i'm sure the test would have shown up positive yesterday if i was.
here's a question though........... when i used to have a regular 28 day cycle and was actually pregnant, each time i tested 5 days before it didnt show, but at 4 days before it did - obviously the hormones weren't high enough until then. so now my cycle seems to be 32 days plus sometimes, does that mean that it's only at 28 days that the hormones would be high enough. OR (and i suspect this is probably right) is it actually that at 4 days before af due i was 10 days post ovulation, and therefore the hormones were high enough? therefore, even in this longer cycle, at day 23-24 i would be 10 days post-ov and would in theory be showing.
torture themselves anyone?!?!

thefatladyscreams · 05/08/2009 12:47

Hi everyone

Personally I'd vote for the latter scenario trixel but I'm guessing. Maybe it's your body trying to get you to save on the cost of testing kits by confusing you . Is tonight the last night of your inlaws? Mine are coming for a month in September (DH's mum lives abroad and is luckily lovely) - told DH it's not to interfer with TCC! Hope the weather improves for your camping.

stressy - hopefully that's ovulation signs. I don't think you've broken your "stay relaxed" rule - you could at a stretch argue your questions were purely scientific

Great big congratulations leeWT. I know it must be hard not to worry but this is a whole new pregnancy. So pleased for you

Please keep checking in lucky. I hope it gets a little bit easier for you each day.

Dare I ask boodle - have you recovered from your weekend marathon?? Hope it's done the trick. Small but positive story on the accupuncture front - I was having really bad headaches and upset stomachs for the week after my m/c which cleared up immediately after treatment by my accupuncturist. It was lift to see how quickly it can make a difference to your body.

Welcome zayja - like you I'm TTC No#1 and had a mmc at 10 weeks. Just remember the brazils need to be coated in chocolate to work

Becky78 - I had no symptons before getting a BFP so hopefully it could still be good news for you this weekend. I will be really impressed if you don't pack a test!

amy - hope your appointment goes well, let us know. I don't think morning sickness kicks in until week 6 so enjoy your food while you can!

amyboo · 05/08/2009 12:53

Just back from gynae. All looks good. There was a noticeable but minescule bean-to-be. Currently measuring 1.2mm! Apparently it looks good for the dates, but they won't really know until I have a scan after my holidays. In any case, seeing as I had a perfect scan at 10 weeks last time and still had a mc, I don't think I'm going to stop uncrossing my fingers until somewhere around the end of September.

stressyheady · 05/08/2009 12:56

Fantastic news Lee!! Am so pleased for you. Pls don't dissapear - we'll want to know how you're getting on.

Trixel as far as I understand it you ov approx 14 days pre af (the first half of cycle is the least predictable but experts reckon that for most of us the half of the cycle from ov to af is pretty much 14 days as standard) so if you're on a 32 day cycle you'd ov on day 18 and 10 days post that would be cd28 so, if you are pg I'd guess that absoulute earliest to show would be tomorrow, on day 28. That's assuming you're bang on 32 days every month. You could have ov'd on day 18 but not concieved 24-36 hours after and it could take up to 10 days to implant so may not be until as late as day 30 that you'd show on a v sensitive test.

I've been on the internet ALOT . When I was pg with DS I knew before I tested as had all the symptoms but was neg on day 28 (first response) and didn't show +tive until day 30 even on a 28 day cycle.

Which is a VERY long winded way of saying there's still hope .

I'm only only on CD18 and already feel like af is on way

stressyheady · 05/08/2009 13:03

My post crossed with yours amy and TFLS

Hope you can relax even just a little now amy Sept will be here soon so hope the weeks fly by for you.

Thanks TFLS - yes my obsessing scientific questions are very relaxed, nothing to do with having TTC on the brain 24/7 !!!

Am mumsnetting whilst DS watches Fireman Sam - does that make me a bad mother?

Cheepz · 05/08/2009 13:17

stressy with ds i felt like i had pms from mid cycle all the way to af - more than normal so that could be a good thing

trixel my tests for ds were BFN until about 2 days before af due then weak bfp until 2 days after - with the mc i didn't test until 2 days after but it was still weak then and only got stronger later in the week.

I am actually feeling quite laid back about ttc in this period between mc and af - we haven't done to do since mc - has only been a little while since bleeding stopped and so am not sure when or whether its going to happen this month, but feel ok about that, I think I want it to happen in its own time because for some reason I feel like there is less chance of an mc if I don't force it (IYSWIM)- you can tell me i am bonkers now

thefatladyscreams · 05/08/2009 15:41

amy so pleased that your little bean seems happy. I know it's still early days - but that's another set of positive results

stressy - not a bad mother, just a relaxed one! You will need to change your name soon

cheepz - sounds a great attitude. The lack of worrying can only be a positive thing whatever happens.

becky78 · 05/08/2009 21:38

Well this month is not my month, AF got me today, a day early!

Thanks for all the crosed fingers positive thoughts though, it means a lot, and hopefully Trixel will get a better result.

Still is only first full cycle since af after mc so disappointing but will have to try again next month.

amy really glad things are stil going well for you, sounds positive from your appointment today.

Got to rush now but thought I would update you all.

Trixel · 05/08/2009 21:54

ah damn it becky, that's a bummer. really sorry.
i'm fairly sure i'll be following you though.... although i'm getting some hope from what you had to say stressy and cheepz. although my fertility monitor (only 2nd month of using it) said i was ovulating on day 13 & 14. last month i had a 32 day cycle and ovulated on day 14/15 apparently - so i guess my luteal phase (hark at me, gone all scientific) has gone up the spout (not so scientific )
why exactly is those whole thing such a maze of ifs and buts and maybes huh?!?!?!
and lee - toot toot, woop woop, a great big trumpeting for you, i'm so pleased for you. lovely lovely news! glad it's a fat line now, roll on the gynae appointment!
hurray for amy's bean too - you get comfy in there love (speaking to the bean, have actually possibly gone mad).
TFLS - the in-laws have left the building!!! did you hear the corks popping at all? they went late this evening as they have a football match to go to tomorrow which will be a further 3 hrs on top of the 3hrs home so decided to go this evening instead. it's actually been very nice at times, and good for the kids, so i shall stop being such a churlish madam!

Trixel · 05/08/2009 21:56

"this whole thing", not those whole thing!!

zayja · 06/08/2009 00:46

Yea leewt - woo hoo eee! Take all of us on the May bus along with you!

becky, so sorry it's not the month for you, just rotten! Have a drink an' hop on the May bus!

trixel, like stressyheady, the only time I had a BFP was on the very day AF was due - may have even been the day after so hang in there. I will say like you I'm not feeling particularly lucky this month, but then again, I don't really recall any symptoms before my BFP last time either. Bottom line - hope for the best!

Funny TFLS, I was at the store this evening looking EVERYWHERE for Brazil nuts and could only find them with mixed. Anyway, had a big bag of almonds dipped in dark chocolate in my hands, wondering if they'd make a good substitute??? Also bought a juicer and fresh grapefruit.

amyboo · 06/08/2009 07:58

becky - sorry to hear af got you. I think it takes a couple of cycles for the body to recover after a mc, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for next month for you.

Glad you survived the in-laws trixel. 1 day with mine is enough to drive me up the wall, but thankfully they live 700 miles away in another country! Thanks for the positive words to my bean as well.

tfls - thanks for your nice words. I'm hoping this one is happy enough to stick around past 12 weeks [nervous emoticon]

Counting down the days till my holiday - off to see my parents in the South of France next week for 10 days. Can't wait to be lying in the pool in the sunshine. I'm so tired, I think I'll spend the whole time sleeping!

Trixel · 06/08/2009 08:18

gah af arrived! obviously pretending i have a nice regular 28 day cycle at the moment!
this is so unusual for us - have been pregnant 5 times before, and in each pregnancy caught on within one or two months - this is month 7, month 8 coming up! DH said yesterday that he wonders if someone up there is trying to tell us something - that we might be pushing our luck when we have the 2 lovely ones already. perhaps we're not supposed to have more, and something will go wrong if we push it....

Cheepz · 06/08/2009 11:03

hi all - sorry to hear its not this one trixel have updated list for everyone

its my birthday today so cakes are on me ;)

Happy birthday cheepz - hope you have a nice day I'd love a piece of cake right now!

Sorry to hear af got you trixel

boodleboot · 06/08/2009 13:37

ok well....have lots of stringy EWCM today and had temperature yesterday so am thinking that i actually may be ovulating so will be getting jiggy with it tonight for sure.

dont feel too stressed this week acutally. am in a much more positive frame of mind. Had to remind myself that this will happen in gods time not my time and now i have surrendered to that i feel much more peaceful. still really hoping that i will be lucky this month but we shall see. lots of bonking ahead this weekend....with my PRESEED ha ha!!

will buy brazil nuts but CANNOT do the grapefruit juice....its vile....to be graphically honest it tastes so bad i would rather eat spunk!! (this would of course defeat the aim tho...)
