Hi all.

Needing some extra support this time round as have just had a MC. We are trying again straight away. But I've a feeling it's going to take ages. Got pregnant first month trying last 2 times. I have 1 DC- 11 months.

I want some people to join this thread who are ready to hold hands and help each other through the TTC.

Good luck to all.

OP posts:
amyboo · 23/06/2009 14:47

Keeping my fingers crossed for both of us.

luckywinner · 23/06/2009 20:59

I really really really hope you both get bfps. God I don't know if I can bear to wait till Monday to find out, so it must be hard for you too!

I poas today, again. It was one of those clearblue tells you how pregnant you are ones. It said 2-3 weeks, same as last week. So of course, I am panicking. Consoling myself that I have sore nipples though!! (Sorry that really was too much sharing).

Good luck you two. Will keep checking back just in case you couldn't hold out till Monday.

Trixel · 23/06/2009 21:05

cmon bfps for amy and boodle - really hoping you get them!

amyboo · 24/06/2009 07:59

Nearly went into the pharmacy and bought a test on my way to work this morning... Managed to put myself off by imagining how upset I'll be if I don't get a bfp. Thankfully tests also cost a ridiculous ?12 ish out here, so that's kinda putting me off too.

God, how I wish it was day 28 already instead of day 26! Thanks for the lucky thoughts lucky and trixel

luckywinner · 24/06/2009 12:29

That was some willpower Amy. Where abouts are you?

amyboo · 24/06/2009 13:09

Hmm, the pharmacy across the road from my office is trying to lure me in as well...

I'm in Brussels lucky - land of lovely frites, beer and expensive hpks!

boodleboot · 24/06/2009 14:39

lucky - last week you were two weeks - this weeks you are three weeks....simples. Am loving the sound of your sore nipples (in a totally non pervy way of course...)

i have one digital clearblue left and WILL NOT use it til monday if it kills me....they are 14 quid for two in my chemist near work.

i will order some more cheapie preg tests just incase (last time i did this i didn't need them as got my BFP the day they arrived....)

amy - do not do it.....patience my little chickadee.

TotallyAndUtterlyPaninied · 24/06/2009 15:43

I went and bought a digital clearblue last night to check it had gone up from 1-2 weeks to 2-3 weeks which is has, thank God. When I had MC it stayed at 1-2 weeks for ages. It was £12 for a 2 pack and two were stuck together, I didn't realise, and so I got a 2 pack free!! How lucky is that!? So i can check progression now lol.. as ya do.

Lucky- sounds as though you're 5 weeks pregnant my love!! I'm just behind you. I think if you had any worries it would be saying 1-2 weeks, not 2-3. Also, you have to do them first thing in the morning and they are only 92% accurate even then. Come and join the Feb thread. It's not as good as this one of course lol.

Amy and Boodle, fingers crossed. I've a feeling there's about to be some more BFPs on this thread.. soon everyone will be wanting to join! So Monday for you two then, I will definately be checking in that day!!

Trixel, hope all's well.

luckywinner · 24/06/2009 17:15

Oh girls what would I do without you. You have made me feel so much better, and Boodle you are right. Damn I should have saved the digital for next week. And I didn't do first morning wee Totally. I was too impatient!

I have lurked on the Feb thread, but was a bit scared to jump in in case I jinxed it somehow. But I did see you are off to Take That, so am I . Where are you going? Am at the Wembley one on 3rd July.

I was also thinking about your hen night dilemma. Can you tell a couple of your bestest friends that you are pregnant so they can pretend to buy you alcohol but really sip appletizer all night? They will get drunker and won't even notice you are sober!

Boodle and Amy When are you planning to poas?

This is also another momentous occasion for me as I have never been on a thread with so many replies!

boodleboot · 24/06/2009 18:53

well i caved and tested on a cheapie stick. nothing on it that i could see....balls.

still AF is not due until 29/30th so still really to early realistically to see anything....no matter how much i hope. I am feeling very hungry and very tetchy tho which is my normal sign for AF about a week before so gotta be prepared for her arrival i guess. why does everything seem to take so long....aaarrhhh.

ah more take that fans eh...i am at take that on 5th july - i cannot wait. apparently it is AMAZING.

how old are all you girls then? lets do quick life status updates....

i just turned 31. married in feb {we conceived my MMC on our wedding night...} to my 2nd DH. very amicable with XH - should have always remained friends really, have 2DC's with him - DD 9.11 and DS 5.4. DStepD 12.4 from DH. live in kent. fulltime employed with local council. 3 cats - my true loves....

you lot?

luckywinner · 24/06/2009 19:06

Oh Boodle, I am sorry you don't have your bfp yet. This waiting game is just hideous.

I am 34, live in London, have 2 dc - 1 ds 4 and 1 dd 2.6. I am a sahm. Not much else to tell really! And I am v excited about take that!

TotallyAndUtterlyPaninied · 24/06/2009 19:40

I'm at Take That this Saturday- but I'm a northerner lol.

I'm 23, getting married next month, my DS is 1 and has a real temper. I'm a teacher... and pets wise, last week we had 5 fish, this week they are all dead!! Grr.

Lucky- I did a test the night before and it said 1-2 so I assumed the worst, then did it in the morning and it said 2-3.

Just been to a bbq and I actually took food home... how greedy is that

cazzybabs · 24/06/2009 19:45

I was wondering if I should introduce my self..

I am 30 and have 3dds - one 7, one 4 and one 18 momths. I had 2mc between dd2 and 2, but they were before 12 weeks, and the latest one at 15 weeks which they think was due to an infection as had normal scan and heartbeat was heard day before!

Anyway I have been bacl to work and seen my friend with her new baby and now just have to cope with my pregnant friend coming to stay this w/e.

TotallyAndUtterlyPaninied · 24/06/2009 19:58

Oh Cazzy, that's a lot to cope with! So sorry to hear about your MC's, particularly at 15 weeks. It's good that you're getting back to it though. Hopw you manage to get through this weekend ok, just keep coming on here for a vent when she's not looking

Trixel · 24/06/2009 20:44

bugger, i'm the oldest then!! so far anyway.... although i imagine i may not be the wisest.
i'm 35 (just - last thursday!) and live oop north in north yorkshire. have two lovely boys who are 5 and 3.
did waffle on a few posts ago about the couple of mcs we've had since DS2. also the medical termination we had to have at 22wks inbetween DS1 and DS2 - he had fluid in heart, lungs, brain (and spreading) so could not have survived the pregnancy.
anyway, we're fairly philosophical about these things so havent become maudlin about any of these hurdles.
we have our own business, a baby swim school, which makes us very happy - best job in the world. it's really busy, but we're able to manage it around the kids and we both get to be around for them which feels really lucky every day.
havent got blummin Take That tickets though!! we will however be going to solfest again this year - brilliant little family-friendly music festival in cumbria which we go to with a bunch of friends. all day with the kids having a great laugh, then several rum & cokes and beers in the eve listening to great bands (from afar of course as the kids are in the tent asleep by this time) and playing daft games. wont be quite as much of a spectacle as Take That's show looks - loads of our friends have gone and we've seen about 300 photos!!
Boodle - i've never had a BFP, when I've actually been pregnant, before 4 days before AF due - so on that reckoning you would not get a BFP until tomorrow or Friday at the very earliest. I'm hoping it still is a BFP for you!!
Totally - gorgeous eve for a BBQ! did people know you were PG there? did you manage to stay clear of the wine / beer without incriminating yourself?!
Cazzy - that last MC of yours sounds heart-rending. sad to have heard the heartbeat.... or is it? i can't make my mind up about that one. we heard the heartbeat of our MMC last Feb, and saw him in fact at early 7 week scan (they scan us to within an inch of our lives now, since Pip, our middle boy that we lost).
sort of bitter-sweet.
Lucky - was puzzling about what a sahm was, thought it might be a religion i'd not heard of, then realised, doh! lol. it's great that the thread's got us all talking isnt it!
what are you doing in brussels amy? sounds lovely. keep up the good work, avoiding those tests!!
i'm only day 17, so on that 2ww - aaargh!

nolongerchunkybutstillapudding · 24/06/2009 20:52

Hey everyone...I would like to join but am having a bit if a rocky start to ttc again after a mmc at 12 weeks (no inkling beforehand, found out at 12 week scan on dps birthday )

anyway, the rocky start includes a month of bleeding after erpc and a uti, then another scan which showed erpc was incomplete so had the bloody op again, then a ton of ab's,then major thrush, then 1st af...

think was ov on tues, managed some lovin' last thurs n sun but have now got something else wrong which I won't go into as I don't know you and it's yucky, however it is painful and we can't do anymore ttc til I'm better...feeling shite n miserable.

So glad to read of bfps on this thread tho!and fingers crossed for those who are waiting! amyboo I remember you from mc forum and hope you get bfp on mon,it's not long now!

Sorry for the rant but am a bit alone with this at the mo.

Trixel · 24/06/2009 20:58

oh nolonger that's a nightmare, you poor love. it's so blummin hard sometimes. how long will the yucky, painful thing last? is there a chance you'll be okay for next month to ttc?
mind you, you might not even need to, as your thurs and sunday bd'ing may just have done the job!
please don't feel alone - there's loads of us here to support you.
and i'll like you even better if you're over 35 and i'm not the oldest one here!!!

cazzybabs · 24/06/2009 21:04

Trixel - I don't think it makes any diffrence as to wether you have heard the hb or not. mc are terrible all the time!
I feel really guilty - was their anything Ishould have done..but then I know in my heart of hearts I can't think like that and also what was it like for the fetus (I can't call it baby) to die - did it feel anything?

And I guess I am never going to be able to relax - after the 1st 2 mc I "knew" that once i had that 12 week scan everything was going to OK...but I'll never have that

nolongerchunkybutstillapudding · 24/06/2009 21:11

Hey trixel thanks... Don't actually know how long it'll last as the doc doesn't know what it is but it had better be gone by next month...am in a LOT of pain!

Well am so bloody nearly 35 (will be on 25th July...) so let's officially be ttc twins.

Think I'm the only one here who doesn't like take that tho (nolonger dons hard hat and cowers)

x

nolongerchunkybutstillapudding · 24/06/2009 22:14

Umm that should be 20th July.you'd think I'd be able to get that right!

amyboo · 25/06/2009 08:00

nolonger that sounds like an absolute nightmare - poor you

boodle I can't believe you caved and tested! I'm still resisting, now on CD27. Am trying not to symptom spot, but it's impossible! I feel I've got too much CM for af to arrive on Saturday (sorry for TMI...)

So, a little intro then. Well, I'm 29 living in Brussels for the last 7 years, working for the EU institutions. I'm originally from the Westcountry. Married for 3.5 years, started ttc in January, conceived 2nd cycle in Feb. Had a perfect 10 week scan, and then scan at 13 weeks showed baby had died at 12 weeks Had ERPC on 30/04 like boodle with no complications afterwards. So, this is my 2nd post MC cycle, but my 1st cycle ttc again. I'm absolutely desperate to get pregnant again, as I got so far last time and thought everything was OK, so starting planning - booking the creche, etc etc.

Anyhoo, as you now, I'm currently resisting testing. I will not cave and buy a test till Monday morning on my way to work (if af hasn't appeared by then. Fingers crossed).

amyboo · 25/06/2009 08:01

clearly should be "started planning" and "as you know". Should really re-read before posting...

boodleboot · 25/06/2009 14:11

amy i am weak....and feeble.....and i apologise. i will not test again until monday using the digital clear blue {i cannot swear that i won't pee on a cheapie.....its almost like a habit, if its not a preg stick then its an ovulation stick...i probably can't pee without a stick between my legs any more...ha ha} Well don you for being restrained tho....stick to it and put me to shame PLEASE...

welcome pudding and trixel - glad you are here but sorry that you need to be IYSWIM...if anyone conceives twins i think i will just about die and go to heaven....that would be amazing...fingers crossed.

oh and what is CM amy? and why is too much of it a bad thing anyways? {remembering that i am still ignorant to most of the ovulatory things that my body does....}

boodleboot · 25/06/2009 14:23

welcome cazzy too....sorry, didn't mean to leave you off. x

nolongerchunkybutstillapudding · 25/06/2009 14:50

hey boodle

tis 'cervical mucous'. nicer as an acronym I think!

don't worry tho, I have a ds and have still only just this very minute worked out what poas means!
