Hi All

Sitting here chowing down another creme egg leftover from Easter. Who said about craving sugary things? Not me - haha!I feel even more guilty coz last night acupuncturist said sugar and choc bad. oops!

Soz AF turned up Boo & Alfie - CD1 is such a downer isn't it? However much we convince ourselves we're not hoping

I've got another fun side effect to share - MOUTH ULCERS! Yeah - nice eh? I've had them recurrently in the same place since on the clomid. Todays is massive - size of an orange pip - gross! Bleurch. Anyway, I googled the causes and guess what came up? Hormonal changes! Anyone else got any ulcer news or other freaky side effects stories?

Lisylou1980 · 24/04/2009 21:47

sissy0928 · 24/04/2009 21:53

Alfie, I'm sorry! It's hard to be disappointed and take care of another's disappointment, take strength in eachother! Maybe you are getting very regular now and it is coming soon.

Thank you Mummycat - I have told most people at my work and we are telling DH's family this weekend...meant to a week or 2 ago but things didn't pan out the way we wanted. I've told my aunts and an uncle...long story, I may have mentioned awhile back, but my parents and I are not on speaking terms since Christmas so right now I'm trying not to stress over that situation.

Baby Dust to all~

islegrin · 24/04/2009 23:31

Alfie - sorry AF got you! The silver lining is always the next cycle, and the next opportunity.

Well, quick update for me, had my IUI today now I'm just starting the tww. I'm going to try to stay away from MN for a while, hoping to make it go faster (but I'm sure I'll cave and get on to see who has baby news first!)

The doc didn't give me progesterone or estrogen patches this time, so I have nothing to do but wait!

Love and baby dust to all!

boo1981 · 25/04/2009 09:21

hi all, im on cd2 2day and last month i took clomid in the morning. could u please tell me why some of u take it at night?

fruitbowl i had a tiny mouth ulcer which i don't normally get, i'll wait and c what happens this time and let u know. what cd r u on? x

islegrin good luck eveything crossed 4 u x

eveything crossed 4 every1 on the tww

beanieb · 25/04/2009 12:29

Boo - I think people take it at night so they are in bed, asleep hopefully, and not at work when they get the side effects? That's what people told me. I took my first course this month and like you I took it in the Morning. Am on 50 mg so didn't get many side effects myself so can't tell you if taking it in teh morning made any difference.

Am now on the TWW I think.

millymolly83 · 25/04/2009 13:22

hi everone how u doing. how are u stac and clure. well start clomid today. so fingers crossed

Clure · 25/04/2009 14:37

good luck millymolly

Hi all

Still no af here for me. Consultant didn't get back to me and I spent friday dealing with a gas leak in our kitchen so bit caught up with that. I feel grumpy today so wonder if af will show up??!!

tetleytea · 25/04/2009 14:44

Hi All

Got a question for you clomid experts. This is my 1st month on it on 50 mg and it does feel quite different to before - mostly because of complete lack of spotting, cramps, all that kind of thing. BUT my temperature is higher than it usually goes and seems to be staying that way. i'm on cd 27.

Does clomid have an effect on your temps? i don't want to get my hopes up too much so putting everything down to "it's just a clomid effect".

And does it tend to lengthen your cycle?

So this is where my ladies are!!!!

Hello all! Hope everyone is well. AF is due on friday... well i can do an early test on friday so hey what will be will be. Not likely.. i dont think there was enough er...action!
At least i have a house. still no internet though
Any news at all? I have been the most emotional, crying moaning, miserable woman for over a week. Does anyone know if this is a good or a bad sign?
Hormones are mad! Do they settle?
Bought some roibussin today all ready for next cycle as er suffered in that way this month.

good to be back on here for just a moment. Will try hard to find internet access!

Baby dust and hope

Westkazza · 25/04/2009 17:37

Hi All, been away for a few days. Fruitbowl are you drinking lots of Grapefruit juice??. I drank loads and that caused me to have 8 ulcers in my mouth. It's all the natural acid in the juice.

Hope everyone else is ok. Nothing to update here except I read an article in the local paper that said that the NHS do not offer IVF for women under 35 in my area!! brillant.

stac14 · 26/04/2009 17:40

Hi all
Sorry about AF getting you alfie and boo its always a nightmare. You sound positve about the clomid though alfie When do you start and what dose are you on? Boo I take clomid at night as you manage to sleep through the side effects although this cycle (my 3rd) I found my side effects have been less

Paddington You've probably been a bit over stressed this month with the move and stuff, even though you were mega organised lol I was really weepy last month think it was due to the clomid but this month has been much easier

Islegrin Good luck with your cycle, hope it goes well chick. Pop on from time to time so we know your doing ok

millymolly I'm good thanks, glad AF came how long did you have to wait for it to come? How did you find the first day on clomid?

Clure How are you feeling hun? I take it you will be phoning the consultant again tomorrow.
Hi to everyone else, how are you all?

Well I still have AF, on CD10 not sure if I should speak to the docs, what do you think? XXX

Lisylou1980 · 26/04/2009 19:29

Hi all
Well i'm still waiting for AF cd 30 today, its driving me mad, my boobs are so sore. If i'm gonna come on i wish it would just happen!!! I was cd 32 last month so i will wait til then to test. I hate waiting, moan moan moan i am sorry .
Hows everyone else x

stac14 · 26/04/2009 20:38

Hi lisylou I was the same this month, my boobs were aching. Have you tested?xxx

Lisylou1980 · 26/04/2009 21:26

I tested on tues or weds but was negative, not done one since then as have convinced myself i'm coming on xx

stac14 · 26/04/2009 21:31

lisylou, all the waiting is so frustrating, try testing again if no Af see how you get on xx

Lisylou1980 · 26/04/2009 21:33

If i hasnt appeared by tues i will as last month was cd32 when it appeared. I'm praying and hoping i wont see my AF this month but at the same time i have got it into my head thats its never going to happen. Why does all this have to be so hard xx

fruitbowl · 26/04/2009 23:41

Lisy the wait is so horrible isn't it? Hang on in there. Everything crossed for you.

Boo I'm on CD14, I took it at night this month and had less headaches (dunno if just a coincidence). Makes me feel blimmin spaced out though. My side effects seem to be present from a few days after taking the first pill until ovulation really. Let us know how you get on.

WestKazza I AM drinking the grapefruit (& the vitamins and the cough med and bloody everything!) hadn't thought about the acid. Still, I had an ulcer last month before drinking it too. You're right though don't think the acid helps! Hope your 8 go down soon!

x

millymolly83 · 27/04/2009 00:21

stac it only toke 3 days af to come. first day on clomid was ok tired and felling abit sick but thats eased off now 3 day of clomid on monday. still tired

amazelucy · 27/04/2009 09:41

Hi Again!

Thank you for your messages - Attila I think that I am going to book an appointment with another GP ? reading other people?s stories makes me think that everyone else is getting blood tests/scans etc?? Is this the case?

I seriously was just given 6 months worth of Clomid and no advice or anything ? and told to come back after the 6 months. I didn?t even know about blood tests etc until coming on the website! On one hand I?m pleased she is giving me help and not dismissing me as such ? but am worried that I may do myself some damage!!

Has anyone else had this kind of experience??

Thanks Lucy x

Congratulations Katlonka so happy for you, please keep us up to date on how your getting on.

This thread seems to be getting luckier hope we all get BFP's soon

Looks like AF is begining to go away but now I am left feeling confused as to when I will ovulate so DP and I have decided to go on as normal and just make sure we bd regularly, just was well I get bloods done 3 times per month lol

millymolly I felt sick on my first day then it went away, keeping my fingers crossed for you.

How are you all? xxx

mummycat1 · 27/04/2009 13:30

Hello everyone,

Congrats Katlonka

Lisy I know exactly how you are feeling. CD1 is worst isn't it so if it's going to come then you just wish it would come quickly so that you can grieve and then feel better on CD2.

Sorry to hear AF got you Alfie and Boo - you both sound positive so good luck for this cycle.

I have tried taking Clomid in the morning and at night and it didn't make a difference really. I would be more inclined to take it in the morning as horrid side effects could wake you - I have woken with hot flushes before now.

My AF is due today and I have all the signs that she will arrive! So expect me to tell you that I am CD1 later on today.

Please can someone tell me exactly which cough medicine to get and how much to take please as I'm going to give that a whirl this time round.
