Aww Curly that's lovely

CurlyCasper · 27/08/2009 21:20

yeah, he was very drunk romantic bladdered! (and cute with it though)

Ozziegirly · 28/08/2009 01:04

kaystar that's wonderful news, am so pleased for you!

How are you feeling?

Well in preparation for this month, I have gone out and bought OPKs, grapefruit juice and evening primrose oil (for the EWCM). Maybe it will work this month....

I'm going to start the OPks from Monday, which is only CD7, but I just have this feeling that if I am ovulating at all, it's early.

So fingers' crossed..... would love a June baby!

sky27 · 28/08/2009 08:11

Morning all, thanks for the birthday wishes. Had a lovely day...but unfortunately af got me this morning which means I officially have LPD, so i'm off to the docs today.

Congrats Kaystar

pepperonipizza · 28/08/2009 09:40

Hi All,
Congrats Kay!!

Sorry to hear your bad news Sky. I hope you are feeling okay.

Has anyone tried pre-seed? Sorry if this has already been mentioned on this thread - they all get mixed up in my head!! I just wanted your opinions (if any) on it - am thinking of giving it a go but don't want to do anything to harm my chances.....

It's the weekend here already, so I'm going out for dinner with DP now. Happy weekend all

ImmaterialGirl · 28/08/2009 10:09

Morning all,

I did my first poas for the fertility monitor today -very exciting I'm CD6 though, so the result was a highly unsurprising 'low fertility'

ozzie I didn't know Evening Primrose is supposed to help -might have to get some of that too...

pepper I think pre-seed is good if you suffer from dryness 'down there', but if you don't then I think it's still meant to be better to not use a lubricant. Normal lubricant kills loads of tadpoles, whereas pre-seed kills much less, I think the idea is...

sky I'm so sorry about AF Are you sure about the LPD? If I remember right, you ovulated on CD18 or 19? And AF got you on CD31? So that is over ten days... Or is there something else?
Either way, sending you tons of hugs and hope you feel better!

Have a lovely day everyone!

sky27 · 28/08/2009 10:34

Thanks IM it was 9 days last month and 10 this month and they reckon less than 12 is a problem...bloody dr just said it's a problem but come back in a YEAR if your not pregnant!

CJ2007 · 28/08/2009 10:48

sky so sorry to hear about af
big hugs being sent your way.
X

ImmaterialGirl · 28/08/2009 10:52

Ouch!

I'm so so sorry. I have heard that Agnus Castus helps regulate the cycle and is often used for LPD. If you google "agnus castus ovulation" for instance, you'll find loads of threads discussing it (some from Mumsnet).

I managed to find one proper medical reference on it here
The main conclusion from the study seemd to be: "The prolactin release was reduced after 3 months, shortened luteal phases were normalised and deficits in the luteal progesterone synthesis were eliminated. These changes were significant and occurred only in the verum group."

This is very good. I have however heard that you should only take Agnus Castus the first two weeks, not after ovulation...

There are bound to be other people on this board with more experience, so you could start a thread?

claireinthecommunity · 28/08/2009 10:57

Hi Ozzie you really are (hopefully) covering all bases this month! I wish you the best of luck for a BFP. I had always hoped for a May or June baby, I would obviously be pleased whatever month, but out of choice it was those two months

sky it's good you enjoyed your birthday, so sorry AF got you this morning. I wasn't sure what you meant by LPD, then I read Immaterials post and all became clear. Immaterial may have a point about it being over ten days, I understood that if your LP was any shorter than this then there may be a problem, But you are obviously concerned so a trip to the doctor may put your mind at ease - let us know how you get on

pepper, no advice on the pre-seed I'm afraid, but I hope you enjoy your dinner - I'm just about to have some breakfast (yes I'm up late again after another late night of work!)

Immaterial, you'll have to keep us informed of any smiley fertile faces that you get!!

My AF type ache is still here, it varies between a dull ache and full on cramping. Having looked through my diary this didn't happen in the two previous months of trying, so I am thinking the obvious! It may all be a trick though and AF is just waiting round the corner We have a busy weekend ahead so hopefully that'll help to keep my mind off of it and stop me from testing early!

claireinthecommunity · 28/08/2009 10:59

X posts

So sorry sky

Immaterial, that's good advice.

sky sorry to here AF got you hugs from me x

Gonna be a busy weekend so if i don't get back on have a good one all

CJ2007 · 28/08/2009 16:16

Hey all, just need to vent. Still no af and just bfn to report. So emotional today, just cried all the way home from the hairdressers because she's pregnant?!?! I really need to get perspective on this but at the minute all I feel able to do is cry!
I know it's self pitying behaviour which isn't like me but just so frustrated after being so regular to now be sat waiting and wondering...
Phew.... Well that feels a little better!

kkas · 28/08/2009 16:54

Thanks immaterial it's right for me

cj sorry to hear you're feeling so [offers a hand smiley face] just think - nice long bank holiday weekend to cheer you up?

claire i know - must admit i feel much safer with you girlies

sky sorry to hear about AF and dr's advice. sometimes they really just don't understand, do they!

not much to report from me - other than i am, hopefully, feeling a little bit saner than before. have no idea whether ov or not this week, but may try some more this weekend just in case. then will be on the TWW i suppose. hope everyone has a lovely holiday

ImmaterialGirl · 28/08/2009 17:26

I know, the May bus is huge! And a bit intimidating...

CJ sorry to hear you're feeling down
Can I ask what cycle you're on? As in, how long have you been trying? If you're just off the pill, it is likely to take a little extra time, even if you've always been regular.
I've always been clockwork 28 days, but when I came off the pill, after the withdrawal bleed it took 34 days before the first real period, and then I was back to regular again.

And seconding kkas wishing everyone a lovely holiday! Anyone doing something interesting?

kkas · 28/08/2009 17:35

not really - just decorating (we're putting shelves up in the study after just painting two of the walls a lime green for a bright change!) I've always wanted a room full of books and am so happy DH is obliging of course i've promised him we can get an i-mac if he cooperates, so i guess he has some incentive!

(really hoping next room we decorate will be a nursery.....)

CJ2007 · 28/08/2009 17:44

Thanks immaterial
I've been off the pill for 2 years and was really lucky as seemed to fall straight back into a regular cycle... I think that's why I'm so puzzled?! I know there's little can be done and just gotta work through it but argh!!!! In terms of cycles I've been charting for about 5 months, really only timing things well for the past 2 months as we shelved plans temperarily when dh was made redundant.
Here's hoping things settle soon.
Wishing everyone a fabulous bank holiday weekend and good luck to those approaching 'testing' time.

ImmaterialGirl · 28/08/2009 17:44

How weird, we're decorating as well. In fact, DP is downstairs right now tiling our little downstairs bathroom that we've just painted lime green! Odd coincidences...

And we have a workshop next to our bedroom that is currently not used much, which we keep saying we need to 'do up' without either of us saying what we want to do it up to, but both of us secretly knowing...

ImmaterialGirl · 28/08/2009 17:47

oops, x-post

hmmm, I can see why you're frustrated then

It is possible, you know, that it means good news and you simply aren't producing enough hcg to be picked up on a test yet?

CJ2007 · 28/08/2009 18:37

Fingers crossed!!

sky27 · 28/08/2009 18:46

IM thanks for updating the list and the research I will look into it next week.

Going away for weekend to chill out about it all, see you next week

CurlyCasper · 28/08/2009 19:24

evening ladies,

sorry about af sky and happy feelings to all those stressing over symptoms/testing.

we're going to be needing a new thread here soon - I'm on two that have already gone over this week. All this cyber nattering (tut, tut)

Fingers crossed claire, sounds positive. Going to be very when you get BFP cause you're one of the girls I knew on here first (shared experiences!).

I love that the May list is so long. feels like we are all at it - and the BFPs are regular, so chances are...

Annoyed with myself tonight - thought I'd ordered 20 opks and got 10 opks and 10 PG tests instead. I so didn't want PG tests in the house until it was time!!!!! (I ballsed up the order, so noone to blame!)
