Guys we need a new group! Wouldn't let me post in old one.

MrsDis I recognise him but can't for the life of me think of his name.

Someone spill!

Still here are you on msn?
Is your sis pregnant too?

twiglettini · 16/02/2009 22:30

yes, we had a brief conversation about it when I had my mc at end of Jan. I had been 1 week behind my sis with our pregs, then mine ended and she is now 9 weeks. You said very kind words about how difficult and sad and how you really understood as you and your sis had been preg together and then you mc - sad for us both, how are you bearing up, given your sis is due soon? x

no not on msn, nor fb etc, just a very old fogey who has recently discovered mn - (don't think dh would forgive me if i spent any more time in front of the putie!)

mrsdisorganised · 16/02/2009 22:38

Oh yes i remember, was trying to find the old thread for info memory like a sieve!!! Yes it's been difficult watching her esp as she didn't want anymore, obviously wouldn't change a thing after the initial shock wore off. I have odd twinges of jealousy which I try to stamp on, and I try to think logically, and also have to remember i was so lucky that my mc happened early and i didn't have to go through what alot of ladies do...as I have said before it wasn't meant to be. Hard though it is.

Lol 'old fogey'...I think not My dh is the same he can't understand it, I love it as I haven't really anyone in rl who I can talk to about certain subjects! (apart from my mum and sis...who don't know what I'm up to regarding ttc unless they are lurking!!).

twiglettini · 16/02/2009 22:43

dh has just told me he won't run me a bath as I'm obsessed by mn (can't quite see the link there)

Would not have expected you to remember I am really thrilled for my sis as it has taken a huge long while for them, and they had pretty much given up. Has your sis got lots of children already too?

Would your RL friends recognise you on mn, do you think?

mrsdisorganised · 16/02/2009 22:50

Lol 'obsessed'

Sis has two already, they are quite young though.
I'm pleased for your sis too, but feel for you.
I think if anyone did Mn that I know in rl they would probably recognise me if they read thread, profile etc...am hoping no one does, although it would be nice to go for a coffee and talk this openly to some one....think I'm contradicting myself now ttiredness taking over! Go have you bath and enjoy being spoiled!!

twiglettini · 16/02/2009 22:56

Will have a tub now, but no spoiling, he's watching telly and I had to run the bath!

Nice chatting, sleep well

x

Hello all... well my lazy morning just continued all day! I have DD1 folding laundry and DH helping with the ironing and chopping veg in the kitchen very well trained! LOL... Haven't gotten half of the housework done... oh well... house will still be messy tomorrow unless the house elves have mercy and pay me a visit!

Kat... unreal! I can't believe they are going to make you wait it out! At this rate it could take over a week for your bloods to return to normal. I am so sorry you have to go through that.

LOL... you ladies hiding your laptop habits from DH gave me quite a good laugh! The best remedy is to get him hooked as well! Mine would complain about the time I spent on FB until I set up an account for him too! LOL... now I get sweet msgs from him at work, and he doesn't say a word about my time on the computer! Hehe..

MrsD... very nice that you will have a weekend for just you and DH. The more kids we have, the less people there are who will agree to take them all it seems! LOL.. My mom took the 3 of them in October and DH and I were able to go to Las Vegas for 4 days. That was soooo nice! I have never been. We went to some shows and had a really nice dinner, and just enjoyed being 'single' again (although I was starting with my pg symptoms for the one I m/c).

Well.. I'm off... dinner is almost ready... will let you know how my session went with the genetics counsellor tomorrow. I am taking the morning off work, but will have the afternoon in front of the computer to get in my MN time!

ScorpiowithabigS · 17/02/2009 10:37

Also I am currently uploading some photos of my kiddies. As I felt guilty looking at all yours and not showing mine!!!

Mrs - you asked bout if ov earlier means af earlier, the answer is yes it should do. Also it is recommended to get smear done even if ttc.

ScorpiowithabigS · 17/02/2009 16:25

i've never had a smear test. Think i should, really.

rainbowdays · 17/02/2009 16:34

Scorpio - you should definitely have a smear test. It could save your life!!!!!

rainbowdays · 17/02/2009 16:35

Scorpio - Sorry that was said a bit strong, but it is important. It is not a pleasant test but it does not take long.

ScorpiowithabigS · 17/02/2009 16:35

i know, i know. Will ring tomorrow and book one. Is it ok after mc and whilst ttc then? what do they do? clamp it open and swab?

ScorpiowithabigS · 17/02/2009 16:37

i have asked before and they said im too young - have been sexually active for ten years and have had 3dc....surely i should have??

babyblue3 · 17/02/2009 17:13

Hello all. Well... back from my counselling appointment. It went well. She broke down the numbers for me, and it turns out there was only one of my levels that were low. She gave me the 1 in 35 chance, but said it was equal to a 3% chance of Downs. She also gave me hope in that from her experience, people with my numbers went on to have healthy babies. I am still worried though... and will worry until the baby is born. So we have decided to go through the amnio. Its scheduled for tomorrow morning at 8:30am. I am nervous. Sometimes I am not sure if I am making the right decision... sigh...

Anyway... on to more pleasant topics... I am glad that I am not the only one having trouble keeping you all straight on FB!! LOL... guess its not preggo brain after all! My initials are MF... Heinz, I'm biker girl!! LOL... or WAS! Those were pics of me preg with DD2.

Hope everyone is well and enjoying your kids break from school.

HeinzSight · 17/02/2009 17:26

babyblue, that's a good way of looking at it isn't it, 3% chance, but if I were in your shoes I also would go for an amnio. So you've left your biking days behind you? Can I ask why? Did you have an accident? DH had a horrific one a couple of yrs ago, he's VERY VERY lucky to still be here, he's been left with a paralysed arm though , he is AMAZING how he copes with it all.

Scorpio, I'm glad you're phoning up to sort your smear, that's crazy isn't it that they wouldn't offer you one because you were too young!!!!!!!!!!!! It's not that bad, honest.

ScorpiowithabigS · 17/02/2009 18:10

babyblue - lots of love for tomorrow

babyblue3 · 17/02/2009 18:18

Scorpio... biking days are only on hold! I only ride for pleasure anyway. DH and I got our bikes a few years ago, and go on day trips in the country with them. I rode until I was 4 months along with DD2. Then my jacket would not close and my belly would touch my tank (since its a sport bike the riding position is low) and it was uncomfortable. I was on my bike not even a week after giving birth though! LOL... Since I am not due until the end of July, most of the riding season will be gone. Not to mention, where am I gonna find the time with 4 kids!! Hopefully, I will take out the bike for a couple of rides in the fall when the leaves are changing. That will make me happy! Its a little scary of what can happen to people on motorcycles. I have friends who are police officers, and they call riders 'organ donors'. I'm glad your DH got off as well as he did. Do you ride?

Scorpio... can't believe they say you are too young to have pap tests done?? Thats very curious. I have been doing one a year since my teens. I hate them, but they are definitely a necessary evil.

Forgot to mention... Diege... I will have the preliminary results from my amnio back by the end of the week... at the very latest, by Monday. The complete results won't be in until 2-3 weeks. We are lucky that we don't have to pay extra, as it is standard here as part of our healthcare.

Diege · 17/02/2009 18:21

Good luck for tomorrow BABYBLUE - good that it's early morning so that you haven't got an agonising morning to get through! This time next week you will have got the all clear for the major trisomies and you will feel so much better . Been there, know what a difficult time this is xxx

ScorpiowithabigS · 17/02/2009 18:21

well i first asked when i was 22, now i am 24 they might!
