Guys we need a new group! Wouldn't let me post in old one.

MrsDis I recognise him but can't for the life of me think of his name.

Someone spill!

x-post scorpio! Hope you can get your smear sorted. They give them here under 25 if you've had children. Would def push for this xx

ScorpiowithabigS · 17/02/2009 18:26

does the collection of cells hurt? make you bleed after? what if i am pg, shall i go like next week before ov?

Diege · 17/02/2009 18:42

No., doesn't hurt at all. Putting speculum in can be a bit uncomfortable, but I've never felt the actual collection of cells (and I've had a lot of smears...)
No probs if you are pregnant either - won't do any damage. I was about a week pregnant with dd3 when I had a smear

mrsdisorganised · 17/02/2009 22:16

Hello all!

Have decided to stop being a chicken and go for my smear...yuck! Scorpio can't believe you've not had one yet! Had my first at about 18 (with dh since I was 15...).
Heinz, Good idea on list for FB...was getting a bit confused, will have to compile one!
Babyblue hope it goes ok tomorrow, thinking of you xx

Hope everyone else is keeping happy and enjoying time with their dc's!

Ready4anothercoffee · 18/02/2009 08:29

hello again everyone, I've been lurking, but feeling a bit of a fraud as I'm still feeding dd2. But she's not fed in the day now, and hopefully I can drop the night feeds and get cracking properly

ScorpiowithabigS · 18/02/2009 09:41

Hi ready dropping the night feeds and solid weaning (at 6 months) made my periods return.

Babyblue - thinking of you xx

Feeling positive here

Diege · 18/02/2009 10:33

Morning! Good for you MRSD - get that appointment made . I have to have yearly ones after quite advanced pre-cancerus cells, hence the surgery, hence the check-up on Thurs to see length of cervix, so know how important it is to keep up to date
READY4, here's to getting cracking!!
SCORPIO, glad feeling so postive . I think you've done brilliantly with the bf - which I had the confidence to try it again with this one!
Older dds have gone off with dh for a few days in lakes, and dd3 is in nursery (I'm working from home ). Really missing them and they've only been gone 40 mins!!

ScorpiowithabigS · 18/02/2009 10:38

I have all 3 here all week on my own - DH at work and then goign to see his son tomorrow night - Sunday. But on Sunday we will go out for a meal when he gets home, so thats ok.

I cannot wait to BF again!

Diege · 18/02/2009 10:49

Phew, hard work SCORPIO! At least yoou have a nice night out to look forward to at the end of the week

HeinzSight · 18/02/2009 13:22

Scorpio, I'm still shocked that you were declined a smear I had my first one when I was 16!! I was in a relationship.

ScorpiowithabigS · 18/02/2009 13:35

Heinz - i had asked more than once, as well, as i am hyper-aware of doing nothing to endanger my fertiltiy iyswim. I haven't rung GP yet though....

Katonahottinroof · 18/02/2009 17:51

I had my first smear when I was 16 just after I had my DS! Am due one now but got my letter when I was m/c and I'd rather wait a few weeks until I get my cycle sorted out.

Been to hozzie today and HCG only dropped by 8 so they're giving me a week off as it's happening so slowly. It's now 90 and they're hoping it may be below 50 in a week....

I had a scan at my first appt but it was only a tummy one not a dildo cam one. They couldn't see anything and said everything looked nice and normal in there...

Hope everyone is ok, thinking of you bb and thinking positive for you!

x

Kat - how infuriatingly slow those numbers are decreasing. I am surprised they did not do an internal scan when you went initially, especially if an ep was suspected, but I can understand that it is not worth them doing anything now with a scan as it would not show anything. I am glad that they are giving you a week off of tests, at least you will feel less like a pin-cushion that way!

Scorpio - have you made that appointment yet?!!!!

Ready4anothercoffee - don't feel like a fraud here, I am still feeding my ds too, he is now 10months old. I got pg while bf before so I know it can happen for me.

Babyblue - hope you are getting plenty of rest and that the amnio went ok.

twigs - you have gone a bit quiet, how are you?

ScorpiowithabigS · 18/02/2009 18:25

I wish i was still BF. I got pg whilst bf, too.

No, havent rung yet...

Kat - i hope they go quicker than that.

ScorpiowithabigS · 18/02/2009 19:10

BABYBLUE - you there, ok?

HeinzSight · 18/02/2009 19:24

Kat, still a nightmare for you, have they said what their plan is if your levels haven't dropped to below 50 in a wk?

Scorpio get on that phone woman!!!

Babyblue, how're you doing? xx

babyblue3 · 18/02/2009 20:05

Hi everyone
Well... I survived the procedure. The idea of it was more scary than the pain I actually felt. Although I cried like a baby when they were removing the fluid! I kept thinking 'my baby needs that!!' All this stress has made me a little crazy, I think! Anyway, since I don't have a laptop, DH sent me straight to bed to rest, and NO COMPUTER! LOL... I had a little bit of cramping at first, but it seems to be better now. I will be going back to bed in a few minutes... just wanted to give you ladies the update. Whats funny is, on the way home from the hospital, I was a little panicky and in tears, I am almost sure I felt the baby kick for the first time. Sigh... hopefully we will make it through the next 12 hours in one piece, and then begins the wait for the results. Thanks again for all your well wishes... means alot

HeinzSight · 18/02/2009 20:19

Thanks so much for coming on to post babyblue, now you take it easy, your DH is right xx

ScorpiowithabigS · 18/02/2009 20:22

you must rest babyblue xx

RubysTheBoss · 19/02/2009 07:28

Hya girls!

Just wondering if this has happened to any of you...My RL friend is 32 weeks pg, and this weekend her waters broke ! She has been to hospital everyday since, had antibiotics, and steroids for babys lungs! She says that she has hardly any fluid left, and hardly any tummy!!
How long do you think they will let her go?...I always thought that they had to deliver within 48hrs of waters breaking! Poor chick, she is sooo worried, and exhausted !

Babyblue, hope you are ok today !

Also, it is great to see everyones lovely pics on FB, and to put faces to some of the names on here !

Have a good day, everyone x

Diege · 19/02/2009 07:47

Morning RUBY aren't we the early birds! One of the girls off the wagon thread is also in hosital after waters have broken (31 weeks ish). It must be so scary. They are also waiting to scan her end of week, though she's had the steroids etc. Here's to healthy babies for both .
Thanks for news BABYBLUE - glad it's all over and hope you're getting rest. You've done the worst now, and though the wait is awful it's a relatively short period of time for reassurance compared to feeling anxious for the rest of the pregnancy. Take care xx
I have my consultant appointment this afternoon where he'll scan me to check cervix length. Still a bit anxious about the cpcs they found on 19 week scan - funny how the worry comes and goes - and don't actually want him to re-scan and start off the whole worry cycle again...Will make sure he sticks to the cervix and keeps away from the bean!!!
Hope everyone is well!

RubysTheBoss · 19/02/2009 08:58

Diege Good luck to you today !

ScorpiowithabigS · 19/02/2009 09:29

Ruby - my friends waters broke at 33 weeks and she had steriods etc, baby came about 3 days later, he was over 4lbs and breathed alone.

I'm cd11 today, DH is away until Sunday and i used to ov on cd19 - but i think my stupid body is gearing up to ov soon i hope it can wait until sunday night! though i did have sex last night, so..... we will see, i have no ewcm yet so thats a good sign.

Love to all.

mrsdisorganised · 19/02/2009 10:48

Hello all!

Babyblue hope you are ok and don't have to wait too long for the results, try and rest.
Ruby, thats horrble for your friend she must be scared, hopefully she'll be able to hang in there a while longer.
Scorpio, I'm really pleased you're feeling back to normal and that ov stays away till dh comes home!
Hi Kat, I'm sorry your levels haven't gone back down yet, hopefully it won't be much longer.

Went for my smear this morning, feel better it's been done...so quick too, don't know why I was worried!

Hope everyone else os ok today!!

ScorpiowithabigS · 19/02/2009 15:03

Feeling a bit shitty today. Saw a little boy in the park today, his mum said he was 17mths - mimi would have been 17 motnhs when lost baby was born . this has really hit me for soem reason. Bit worried as hoem alone all weekend no support from dh etc
