Mean - your children are v similar age to mine - 7, 4 & 14 months, and i had two boys first as well! lol

Meanbeansmum · 08/07/2009 19:10

Oh and you may get used to my typos, my typing is dire, I blame my fat fingers and overeager typing, I attempt to type as fast as my thoughts come out and it leads to some funny reading lol....sorry.xxxx

Katnkittens · 08/07/2009 23:10

Hiya meanbeans

Nice ages, my DS is 13 and DD2 is 5. My DD1 is 11 on Sunday but we are at a dancing competition so she's having 8 of her friends for a meal at a restaurant on Friday (2 courses for a fiver type thingy) then a couple of the nice ones that I know well over for a sleepover! She just informed me I have to buy some facemasks and spa type thingys as they are having a beauty night LOL

Both my DDs got their school reports and they were glowing. DD1's I was expecting as she's a right goody 2 shoes but DD2 is a bit of a menace and has had a lot of issues with her epilepsy meds making her moody/ tired all sorts so it was a pleasant surprise.

Symptoms.. CD18 boobs still sore,

Not that I'm symptom spotting or anything

How long is your usual cycle meanbeans? Worth POAS?

Katnkittens · 08/07/2009 23:13

Oh and physics scares the hell out of me, my brother studied physics at uni, I always found it interesting but couldn't get my head round it.
I'm doing a degree in biomedical science, had to take a sabaticcal in February but am going back in Jan to get my dissertation finished and do my exams so should graduate in June 2010 all being well.

In that respect it's probably better if it takes me a bit longer to conceive...

Meanbeansmum · 09/07/2009 08:47

Kat, fab degree! I did an engineering degree, the big plan was to do a doctorate and be a research engineer but I got pg with ds1 during year 1 in uni and pg with ds2 in year 3 of uni lol! I didn't make life easy for myself. I sat my finals throwing up and had to do final exams while m/c ds2's twin. (but ds2 made it and I was so grateful for that, it wasn't nice though and broke my heart :) My life just took a different course with children and I wouldn't change a thing!

LOL at the facemasks, it doesn't sem that long ago that I was 11 and facemask mad. lol.

CD31.....still no af!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm a bit because if I did ovulate later this definitely puts me in with a it coiuyld have happened chance. I have a buzzing feeling in my uterus. Starting to think that I am pg now but that's cruiel and no doubt the witch will be mean and find me.

Sorry too much blabbing about me, I'd love to get to know you all.

Katnkittens · 09/07/2009 13:09

Meanbeans...

You not tempted to test yet?

I have a million ebay cheapies and I would find it impossible to resist!

Have to run DD2s sports day but will catch up properly later

xx

Scorps · 09/07/2009 13:18

my boobs hurt

Meanbeansmum · 09/07/2009 13:35

Scorps, are you ttc/pg? I have a scatterbrain.

KAt, I have no cheapies here, I will POAS first thing. I must be 15/16dpo now? www.fertilityfriend.com/home/4d2f3

Not sure if I can post this here.

Scorps · 09/07/2009 13:37

I'm 16 weeks tomorrow, they have been sore for about a week now, im wearing a soft feeding bra though which helps!

You are allowed to post that link don't worry!

Meanbeansmum · 09/07/2009 14:00

Scorps, huge congrats! Sore boobies are awful, I hope they ease up soon.

rainbowdays · 09/07/2009 22:07

means - oh yep definitely you should poas tomorrow, (I am a poas addict!!!!).

Kat - too early for the symptom spotting

babyblue3 · 09/07/2009 22:15

Kat - have fun with the spa party for your DD!! My DD 'requested' hers for her 10th birthday last year. 8 hyper girls running around the house! My sister came over to help me. We did face masks, finger and toe nails painted as well as nail gems applied. I found the nail gems all over the house for weeks afterward!! While everyone waited for their turn, they made necklaces from a huge plethora of beads my DD has accumulated... again... beads EVERYWHERE!! This year she hinted at another spa party and I said "HELL NO"!!! LOL. Instead, I bought her a spa pass and the two of us will be getting manis and pedis next week at a day spa. That, along with lunch and a day of shopping for just us girls, is much more appealing to me!

Physics was also not my strength in school. I prefered biology, but ended up doing my degree in psychology. I got married right after graduating from uni, then the kids started coming. I finally settled into my profession when both kids were in school full time. Now the second batch of kids is arriving... lol!!

Got rid of my little sports car today... boo... started crying when they came to the house to pick it up! LOL... don't know if that was more because of out of control hormones, or the sad realization that I will now have to drive a boring family vehicle!! LOL

Meanbeansmum · 11/07/2009 09:01

Af found me.... No chance next monbth either, dh has an operation next week.

Babyblue, I could do with a spa pass right now lol.

rainbowdays · 12/07/2009 00:09

meanbean - so sorry to hear af got you, horrible. Also to hear that you have a month to wait, hope your dh operation is not too big.

kat - any more symptoms to spot yet?#

Babyblue - oh no, the car - how horrible to be having to give up a nice sporty car for the family one.

Well it is my ds1 6th birthday tomorrow. I can hardly believe my firstborn will be 6. The years have flown so fast.

sweetkitty · 13/07/2009 05:37

I'm still here am officially on 2WW now will catch up more in a bit

Katnkittens · 13/07/2009 11:55

Meanbean - Aww so sorry to hear AF got you our bodies love to play tricks on us

rainbow - awww your baby is 6 My actual youngest baby will be 6 in November and I don't really want her to grow up.

I'm on CD22 today and a bit headachy, boobs are less sore but I had laods of cramping last night I actually felt like AF was about to arrive... not sure if that means anything.

Anyway I'm going to be strong this month, no early testing and squinting for lines, I have a FR in the cupboard though so will be difficult to resist....

Kat

Meanbeansmum · 13/07/2009 17:51

Kat, ahving 1st response ready and available is too mucgh for anyone to bare lol.

Sweetkirtty, good luck in the 2ww.

Af was very short 3 days, not particularly heavy, I'm guessing that's because of the breastfeeding? My linning probably isn't thick enough to sustain a pg at the moment, no doubt I won't conceive until I stop bfing...could be next year !!!!

babyblue3 · 14/07/2009 04:47

Kat - proud of you for resisting temptation!! LOL

I am hanging in. Went for a day trip with the family yesterday. Spent the entire day walking and window shopping, but was unable to even get a few good contractions happening! DH is not keen on BDing right now to bring on labour (not that it has worked in the past and I am feeling too tired and fat to really argue!). In other words, I will have to be patient and wait!

On the upside, I think DD2 has turned a corner... finally!! She has been screaming herself to sleep for at least 3 weeks now for both naps and bedtime. The past couple of days she has gone down without a fight. Thank GOD!!! I am sure the neighbours suspect I beat her to sleep every night with the way she carries on!!! Terrible twos a few months early perhaps

Still waiting for word on my new car. The dealership said end of July or beginning of August, as it had to be shipped from Japan! I haven't been without a car of my own since I was a teenager! LOL... at least I can drive DHs when the weather is decent and he takes his motorcycle to work. But if the car doesn't arrive before baby, we cant all fit in DHs car and will have to go places in shifts, leave someone behind , or not go out at all sigh...

Katnkittens · 14/07/2009 11:17

BB - I know it sounds annoying but baby will come when it's ready I always remember being so impatient in the last couple of weeks but looking back it was so exciting knowing it could happen any time! You don't appreciate it when you're feeling so heavy and knackered though! Hope baby comes v soon for you xxx

God screaming toddlers aren't fun, I've been there with the sleeping thing, it's so hard to hang in there and not give in to lying in bed with them etc but it's worth it in the end. DD2 was a nightmare and everytime we put her to bed she would jsut keep getting up so I was mean and put a stairgate on her door! It worked, after one night of screaming at the gate she started dropping off straight away!

My car is a right banger, the back door doesn't open from the outside, the button to open the boot fell off so I have no boot and last week my front number plate fell off! Oh and it makes a funny noise if I go about 50mph... we're a bit skint at the minute though so have to manage

Still not a clue if pregnant or not, I'm really not convinced Im even OVing so using the CBFM will be very helpful (if I havent done it this month).

babyblue3 · 15/07/2009 03:16

My DD2 and Ds1 are cut from the same cloth... which scares the crap out of me! More and more I am noticing the similarities! Both have horrible temper tantrums, both like to scream when they don't get their way, and both had issues with sleeping. DS also had potty training issues, which I am hoping to avoid with DD2. God help me when this baby arrives! I am hoping I don't have jealousy issues. I never went through that with DD1 and DS1. She was a dream when her brother was born and they are 16 months apart. These two will be 21 months, but DD2 is spoiled rotten by her siblings!

So when are you supposed to test Kat??You think you are still not OVing??? How many cycles has it been now?

Katnkittens · 15/07/2009 15:43

AF is due on Sunday, not sure BB, think this is my 4th cycle, I know I probs am OVing its just that I have absolutely NO EWCM and I used to get loads...

No gonna test until AF is late which it probably won't be, I am a positive saint

Oh good news I got my colcoscopy results back and it says they only found evidence of a low-grade lesion which is actually very small changes (less than CIN1) but as my smear showed CIN2 they are having a meeting with the path lab and will get back to me re how to proceed. I have a feeling they'll just ask me to come back for a repeat smear in 6 months.

Anyway, means I'm not riddled with pre cancerous cells and there are probably just a few dodgy ones...

rainbowdays · 15/07/2009 16:05

Kat - hi, good to hear about the results. hope you get a surprise at the weekend and have to test. Have you considered taking anything to increase the ewcm?

I am oving late this cycle, it would appear. I am fed up of waiting.

babyblue3 · 17/07/2009 03:42

Wonderful news Kat. Hopefully your next smear will turn out equally as good. Now you can focus back on all that shagging its gonna take to make your baby!! LOL

Its awfully quiet again on this thread?? Where is everyone!!??

10 days and counting for me. Next OB appointment is on Tuesday with my primary. Hopefully she will give me a date when she will induce me... just in case. I am hoping to do this on my own, but a date would be nice to have in the back of my mind. Since I am feeling nothing that resembles contractions, all I can do is wait!

Got my hair cut and highlighted today, and tomorrow goin for a pedi with DD1. All I need to do next week is a wax, and all my 'maintenance' is done!

Katnkittens · 17/07/2009 09:15

Grrr CD1 The witch turned up 2 days early which at least puts me out of my misery I suppose and I now get to POAS lots and play with my CBFM LOL

Thinking of you babyblue, hoping to hear some news very soon

rainbowdays · 17/07/2009 10:26

kat - boo-hoo at af, but at least you get to play with your new toy!

Babyblue - yep, it is quiet on here, but very excited about your imminent arrival. Have you started with the rasberry leave tea and EPO yet?

I think I might have just ovulated at last. I was getting concerned it might have gone AWOL!

Meanbean - how are you doing? My ds is 15 months and a real little rascal, I miss b-feeding him. How long did you bf your other children for?

GTG - Jak is yelling for me again!!!
